Do you think its easier to trust God with the SEEN or the UNSEEN? This journey of faith on planet Earth can be so hard, especially when the circumstances we face (ie...THE SEEN) are so disturbing.
Our text says that the stuff they had was enough. Another translation says that they had more than enough. No matter the situation we may be in, God has given us enough to see it through. Some feel like what we have to offer has no value. The boy with the five barley loaves and two small fish must have thought he did not have anything to offer, but in the hands of Jesus, it was more than enough. The bible also says they had enough stuff to do the work, but in addition to that, they used their skills. We have enough for the job, but now it is time to use it for the kingdom of God. Just having the net does not catch fish. Just having the hammer, does not build the building. There must be workers who will put their hand to the plow and work for the kingdom of God. Coming with gifting and talent is fine, but it must be put to use to make a difference. The stuff we’ve got is sufficient, and we must use that stuff to use to further the kingdom of God.

Moses had to command the people to stop bringing offerings. What could have merited such a request? What does it mean for us today when we give to the Lord, and when do we stop giving?
