|| ABOUT THIS MESSAGE || Yesterday, Pastor Emmanuel kept our year-long journey through Acts going with the wild ending of Paul's shipwreck in Acts 27–28. He took on the big question, “If God's good, why do bad things happen?”—and showed us that sometimes life's storms come from our own choices, and other times it's just the reality of living in a broken world. Through Paul's story, we were reminded that God's goodness doesn't disappear in hard times and that He actually invites us to help bring healing to the world. Emmanuel shared a personal story that made this question hit close to home and encouraged us to hold tight to God's character no matter what. We were challenged to see ourselves as part of His plan to bring hope and restoration. Now it's our turn to live it out and bring God's goodness to the people around us.|| ABOUT BEACH CHURCH || We exist to reach, raise up, and release followers of Jesus who change the world. “We've had this whole period of trying to manage supply chains for lowest cost, whereas I think now we're managing for resilience at a managed cost and at an acceptable cost.” - Tim Richardson, Founder and CEO, Iter Consulting Supply chains aren't really chains anymore. They're complex, interconnected networks. Supply networks are anything but predictable. What used to be straightforward relationships between suppliers and customers have become webs of interconnected partnerships, each with its own risks and opportunities. The leaders and teams who succeed in this environment understand that optimizing for resilience at a managed cost has fundamentally replaced the old paradigm of chasing the lowest cost… at any price. In this episode of Art of Supply, Kelly Barner welcomes Tim Richardson back to the podcast. Tim is the Founder and CEO of Iter Consulting, a global team of experts with supply chain and manufacturing experience that are helping companies navigate the new world order of distributed manufacturing and supply network complexity In this episode of the Art of Supply podcast, Tim and Kelly discuss: Why we've moved past peak globalization and what "local for local" manufacturing means for supply network design How to balance the challenge of mapping supply network complexity against the need to understand cost and risk exposure The talent gap in supply chain leadership and why strategic thinking capabilities haven't kept pace with operational demands Links: Tim Richardson on LinkedIn Supply Chain Forecast: Volatile with Tim Richardson Kelly Barner on LinkedIn Art of Supply LinkedIn newsletter Art of Supply on AOP Subscribe to This Week in Procurement

|| ABOUT THIS MESSAGE || Yesterday, Pastor Jerry walked us through Paul's storm-filled journey in Acts 27—a story of danger, discouragement, and surprising hope. Even though Paul wasn't the one who made the bad decision to set sail, he became a steady voice when everything fell apart. He encouraged others, trusted God's promises, and reminded everyone that they weren't alone. We were challenged to think about how we respond when life gets chaotic—how storms often reveal who we really are. In the middle of the storm, Paul stayed grounded, cared for himself, and looked out for those around him. This week, let's do the same—stay healthy, trust God, and be a source of encouragement to someone who might be going through a storm of their own.|| ABOUT BEACH CHURCH || We exist to reach, raise up, and release followers of Jesus who change the world. Miroslav Volf on how to rightly love a radically ambivalent world.“The world, our planetary home, certainly needs to be changed, improved. But what it needs even more is to be rightly loved.”Miroslav Volf begins his 2025 Gifford Lectures at the University of Aberdeen with a provocative theological inquiry: What difference does belief in God make for our relationship to the world? Drawing deeply from Nietzsche's “death of God,” Schopenhauer's despair, and Hannah Arendt's vision of amor mundi, Volf explores the ambivalence of modern life—its beauty and horror, its resonance and alienation. Can we truly love the world, even amidst its chaos and collapse? Can a belief in the God of Jesus Christ provide motivation to love—not as appetite or utility, but as radical, unconditional affirmation? Volf suggests that faith offers not a retreat from reality, but an anchor amid its disorder—a trust that enables us to hope, even when the world's goodness seems impossible. This first lecture challenges us to consider the character of our relationship to the world, between atheism and theism, critique and love.Episode Highlights“The world, our planetary home, certainly needs to be changed, improved. We talk about what it means to denominate your life in bitcoin, why the future is being built by people who have already opted out of the legacy system, and how venture capital looks different when the benchmark is no longer 8%—but 45%. || ABOUT THIS MESSAGE || Yesterday, Pastor Emmanuel challenged us with a message about staying faithful to God's calling — even when things get hard. Picking up where Pastor Jerry left off, we followed Paul's journey toward Rome and saw how obedience to God doesn't always mean smooth sailing. In fact, it often means strong headwinds, uncomfortable circumstances, and rowing through storms. Emmanuel reminded us that God's calling isn't just for when life feels convenient — it's for every season, and it's worth pressing into. Faithfulness, not feelings, is the fuel that will carry us to the finish. We also celebrated the commissioning of three faithful interns, reminding us that obedience is always worth it.|| ABOUT BEACH CHURCH || Here at Beach, we are most passionate about seeing people come into a relationship with Jesus! After years of hostility toward crypto, the U.S. passed its first-ever federal law regarding the industry. The GENIUS Act, stablecoin legislation backed by both parties, was signed by President Trump's desk after a last-minute showdown in Congress. Despite being seen as a sure thing, the bill's path turned turbulent this week, with objections from Democrats over Trump's crypto ties, and a sudden revolt from the Freedom Caucus around anti-CBDC language. Now that it's through, what will this law actually do? And who stands to benefit—or lose? In this episode, Dante Disparte, Circle's chief strategy officer and one of the key players behind the legislation, joins Unchained to explain: How the bill won bipartisan support despite political tensions Why banks may think twice before issuing stablecoins And why Circle is applying for a national trust bank charter Plus, the battle over interest-bearing stablecoins, how this bill fits into the broader financial regulatory landscape, and whether U.S. consumers and the dollar come out ahead.
