In a world filled with countless voices and opinions, it can be hard to know who to trust. Scripture reminds us that true victory and guidance come only from God's Word. Pastor Mike will share how the Word of God, hidden in our hearts, equips us to resist sin, stand firm under pressure, and speak truth when it matters most. Though our flesh often desires what is contrary to God's will, His Word provides clarity, strength, and courage. By treasuring and meditating on Scripture daily, we learn to trust God's voice above all others and live as overcomers through the "blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony". Hosted on Acast. In this message, Pastor Mike Stevens teaches on Core Value #5: This should not be the last generation of pastors. Jesus still calls people to ministry, and the need remains great. The church must create room for the next generation, resist the temptation to “eat pastors alive,” and encourage those stepping into their calling. Scripture reminds us that while not everyone is called to vocational ministry, every believer must be willing if God calls.Pastor Mike also warns that ministry is both full and challenging — Jesus Himself sent His disciples out “as sheep among wolves.” Those called must put on the full armor of God, and those not called must avoid becoming wolves through biting, destroying, or discouraging. Instead, we are called to be ladder-bearers who lift up future leaders. Every believer has a next step with Jesus, and embracing that step leads to the abundant life Christ promised.#GoodHopeChurch #PastorMikeStevens #VisionSeries #CoreValues #NextGeneration #MinistryCalling #RiseUpReachOut #FaithInAction #ArmorOfGod #RunYourRaceSermon Notes: https://link.goodhope.ag/vision25-7Giving Information: https://goodhope.ag/givingSTAY CONNECTEDYoutube: https://youtube.com/GoodHopeChurchInstagram: http://instagram.com/goodhopemnFacebook: http://fb.com/goodhopemn
Pastor Mike Jurek brings Core Value #5 into focus: The church must raise up and release the next generation of pastors and leaders. The need for workers is as great as ever, and Jesus is still calling people to step forward. Our responsibility is to create opportunities, champion those who answer the call, and avoid becoming voices that discourage or wound emerging leaders. Every believer should remain ready and willing to go where God sends.Pastor Mike emphasizes that ministry is rewarding but often difficult. Jesus prepared His followers for spiritual opposition, urging them to stand firm in the armor of God. Meanwhile, those who are not called to vocational ministry must avoid the “wolf” behaviors that damage leaders — biting, criticizing, or tearing down. Instead, we are invited to lift others up and take our own next step in discipleship, discovering the abundant life Jesus promised to those who run their race with Him.#GoodHopeChurch #PastorMikeJurek #CoreValues #VisionTeaching #RaiseUpLeaders #SupportYourPastors #ArmorOfGod #Discipleship #NextSteps #AbundantLifeSermon Notes: https://link.goodhope.ag/vision25-7-mjGiving Information: https://goodhope.ag/givingSTAY CONNECTEDYoutube: https://youtube.com/GoodHopeChurchInstagram: http://instagram.com/goodhopemnFacebook: http://fb.com/goodhopemn

In this message, The Importance of Giving Thanks to God, Pastor Mike walks through James 1:17, Luke 17:11–19, and 2 Corinthians 9:15 to remind us that gratitude is more than a feeling—it's a response God both deserves and desires. Through the story of the ten lepers, we see the difference between receiving God's gifts and returning thanks to the Giver. As we reflect on where our deepest satisfaction is found, we're challenged to make gratitude a daily practice. This week, take time to list what you're most thankful for—because every good and perfect gift is from Him, and His greatest gift is truly indescribable.
In this teaching, Pastor Mike Jurek continues the Vision Series by focusing on Core Value #4: There Should Be a Spirit-Filled, Life-Giving Church in Every Community. He points out that Core Values 1–3 take root when vibrant, Spirit-filled churches exist—churches that share the gospel, develop believers, and create communities where no one walks alone.Pastor Mike Jurek shows how the Jerusalem church enjoys an incredible season, but God's mission reaches far beyond one place. When they stay comfortable, the gospel still spreads because God moves them outward. We stand in that same moment now. When we pray, serve, give, invite, and embrace the role God has for each of us, the church becomes united and the mission becomes unstoppable.#GoodHopeChurch #PastorMikeJurek #VisionSeries #MissionFocused #SpiritFilledLiving #ReachTheOne #ChurchInEveryCommunitySermon Notes: https://link.goodhope.ag/vision25-6-mjGiving Information: https://goodhope.ag/givingSTAY CONNECTEDYoutube: https://youtube.com/GoodHopeChurchInstagram: http://instagram.com/goodhopemnFacebook: http://fb.com/goodhopemn
In this message, Pastor Mike Stevens continues our What Are We Doing? Vision Series by teaching on Core Value #4: There Should Be a Spirit-Filled, Life-Giving Church in Every Community. He shows how Core Values 1–3—sharing the gospel, growing in faith, and walking together—only come to life when healthy, Spirit-led churches are planted and strengthened everywhere.Pastor Mike highlights the tension the early church feels in Jerusalem. They enjoy an amazing, thriving community, but God is calling them to go after the one. Even persecution pushes the mission forward and reminds them of God's heart to seek and save the lost. That same tension exists for us today. When each believer chooses to pray, serve, give, invite, and take action, we unite around the Great Commission and truly row together.#GoodHopeChurch #VisionSeries #CoreValues #SpiritFilledChurch #LeaveThe99 #OnMission #ReachUpRiseUpReachOutSermon Notes: https://link.goodhope.ag/vision25-6Giving Information: https://goodhope.ag/givingSTAY CONNECTEDYoutube: https://youtube.com/GoodHopeChurchInstagram: http://instagram.com/goodhopemnFacebook: http://fb.com/goodhopemn
Most religions teach that if we mess up a relationship with the divine, we have to fix it. If our karma is bad or our scale shows more bad deeds than good or if we've broken a few too many commandments, we'd better make up for it. And that's what makes Christianity different: God reconciled us. But what does that actually mean? Pastor Mike digs deep into one of the most emotional words in the Bible: reconcile. And he explains how it has changed our lives.
This sermon concludes a series on Nehemiah by emphasizing how Nehemiah stayed focused, prayerful, and committed while facing distractions, lies, and opposition, refusing to “come down” from the great work God gave him. It highlights the importance of finishing what we start for God, showing how Nehemiah's completion of the wall led to long-term blessings, restored worship, renewed commitment, and future generations being strengthened. Ultimately, the message calls believers to be Kingdom Builders with Jesus—remaining faithful, resisting distractions, and building lives that honor God and bless others.
Because God intends our relationships in the church to be marked by a quality that the world cannot match, we must be serious about building friendships that are uniquely loving, loyal, and encouraging.
