“The word ‘obliteration' is being used a lot…I think there's a little more nuance to it.” Intelligence assessments from the International Atomic Energy Agency, Iran, and the United States have provided competing accounts of the functionality of Fordow, Iran's critical uranium refinement site, and the Iranian nuclear program as a whole. The intelligence community still has a lot of blanks to fill in, including the extent of the damage to various Iranian nuclear sites, the state of Iran's missile arsenal, and how much of a setback this represents for Iran's nuclear program. CSIS's Heather Williams, director of the CSIS Project on Nuclear Issues, joins the podcast to discuss the uncertain status of Iran's nuclear program following Operation Midnight Hammer and what we should be watching for next.

Even if YOUR dog likes to be hugged, your children will treat all dogs the way they treat yours.Eye contact is threatening to most dogs, so don't kiss your dog on the nose in front of your kids - this is how a lot of bites to kids happen. Again - even if your dog is okay with this, it puts your child's vulnerable face too close to the teeth of other dogs.Set some ground rules such as never bothering a dog when they are eating, chewing a bone or sleepingUse safe zones for both your kids and dogs, where they know that they will not be approachedInvite dogs to you for petting instead of approaching themNotice dog body language and talk about it often - point out if your dog is showing signs of stress so your kids can learn to recognize themThank you for listening! Amidst the profound social change and political turmoil of post-war Japan, a bold generation of avant-garde artists and photographers emerged in the 1960s, forever transforming the global art landscape. Japanese Avant-Garde Pioneers' director Amélie Ravalec attended the Dutch premiere at De Balie in Amsterdam to talk about the film with our cinema curator Stefan Malešević. Watch the film screening of Japanese Avant-Garde Pioneers until June 23, exclusively at De Balie. The 1960s era in Japan was a time of profound social change, political unrest and student protests. The turbulent times of the postwar era inspired an artistic explosion in Japan, with the emergence of a revolutionary scene of avant-garde artists who pioneered many disciplines: experimental and erotic photography, “Angura” theatre and underground street performances, apocalyptic Butoh dance, surreal illustrations and seminal graphic design.A new aesthetic of photography was born: “Are, Bure, Boke” (rough, dark and out of focus), pioneered by Moriyama Daidō and the Provoke magazine photographers. Araki beautified bondage and Hosoe Eikoh sublimated the male body. Ishiuchi Miyako captured her experience of American military bases. Kawada Kikuji's era-defining photobook The Map captured the poignancy of Hiroshima's trauma.Master of underground theatre Terayama Shūji produced countless magical, surreal and vividly colourful films, plays and photobooks, Yokoo Tadanori and Awazu Kiyoshi revolutionised graphic design with their incandescent theatre posters, Tanaami Keiichi, Japan's answer to Andy Warhol, developed his unique kaleidoscopic vision of Pop-Art, and Butoh founders Hijikata Tatsumi and Ohno Kazuo impacted modern dance forever with their dance of darkness and light.Watch the official trailer here.Get your tickets for the film screening at De Balie here.Intro music: Andrii Poradovskyi---Want to know more about Forum on European Culture? This week we bring you more insights from Cape Town South Africa as we continue to explore some great startups on the African continent and beyond from Crossfin's Circle of Fintech event. In our first segment, Brett speaks with Karl Westvig, CEO of TymeBank South Africa. Since receiving its banking license in South Africa in 2019, TymeBank has grown to 80 million customers globally, focusing on financial inclusion through accessible and frictionless banking. The expanding neobank has plans for further growth in several Asian markets. Key motivations include the immense scale of the Asian markets: the Philippines with 120 million people and Indonesia with 280 million alongside South Africa's 60 million. These regions boast young, digitally savvy populations that are largely underserved. Tune in as Brett and Karl discuss new opportunities, TymeBank's innovative "phygital" distribution strategy, tech stacks, Agentic AI, new products, and more Then, Brett sits down with Unitey Founder & CEO, Muzaffar "MK" Khokhar, for an engaging conversation about the payments ecosystem. Based in the UAE, Unitey's mission is to democratize financial services and level the playing field. MK is a veteran payments ecosystem player, creating and operating payment ecosystems for central banks and governments. With Unitey, he is focused on the serenity of the ecosystem. With our current system built back in the 60s / 70s, we now have better tech for more robust payment rails. Change is happening, efficiency is coming into the system, and interoperability with other rails coming up fast with RTP, mobile money, and more. Unitey specializes in demystifying the card payment rails but has clear roadmaps focused on creating interoperability with other rails, ensuring multiple rails can actually interoperate. In part two of "Fatherhood," Duane Sherff explores the metaphor of fathers as spiritual "blacksmiths" who play a vital role in shaping their children's lives and faith. He emphasizes the importance of godly masculinity, consistent discipline, and clear boundaries, which should be guided by the Holy Spirit. Discipline should be controlled by the Holy Spirit, not as punishment, but as a loving act to prepare children for the realities of life and accountability to God. True fatherhood isn't about domination but about forging, shaping, and tempering our children for spiritual warfare and success in life.

So how do we do that?  I have 6 simple ideas that will help you encourage rather than discourage your child - TBH - they are simple to talk about, but harder to implement - which makes them all the more important for us to think about and check how we are doing. Send us a textProverbs 22:6 instructs us to, "Train up a child in the way he should go..."and goes on to say that, "even when he is old he will not depart from it."What about when those closest to us walk away from God? Was it our responsibility to prevent it?  How does this apply, when all around us we see the kids of pastors, missionaries, and Christians in general, departing from the faith they were raised in? Is there a Biblical formula that we all seem to be missing? The four regulars share their experience of raising kids, and the delicate balance one might aim to strike of not forcing religious views upon them, but also not letting them simply roam free without spiritual direction. ------------------------Questions, comments, or feedback? Send us a textBack in October, Theologian Wes Huff and ancient civilizations researcher Billy Carson recently had a debate on the Mark Minard podcast.Billy argues that biblical texts are inaccurate and that even the crucifixion did not happen, while Wes, a biblical scholar with expertise in ancient manuscripts, counters this position with evidence of the Bible's historical reliability and unique origins. The aftermath of the viral debate then landed Wes on The Joe Rogan Experience, where Wes was able to share in detail on one of the world's most influential podcasts, why the bible can be trusted. The regulars react to the debate, the episode on Rogan, and how we should rightly celebrate the public dismantling of lies. ------------------------Questions, comments, or feedback? Send us a textNo one can choose when they are born, should they be able to decide when they die? Canada's MAID program (medical assistance in dying) is one of many Euthanasia-based medical practices worldwide, existing as a legal means of ending one's life in the case of those whose death is “reasonably foreseeable.” Is there mercy in ending someone's suffering, or are we in danger of treating people as a vet would treat the terminally ill family hound? With the rise in popularity of such a practice, and the loss of the sanctity of life in secular culture, how should Christians feel and respond to this? All of this and more on this week's episode!------------------------Questions, comments, or feedback?
