CLICK TO SUBSCRIBE ON YOUR FAVORITE PODCATCHER. Our Pinkie Pie fan extraordinaire James Anderson joins us once again for hijinks aplenty, this time in Yakyakistan. The yaks are celebrating one of their biggest holidays and Pinkie’s been…”invited” to join in the festivities. There’s vanilla cake, music huts, and stories by the fire, until some ritual stomping triggers an avalanche. That’s when the yaks, stubborn as they are, refuse Pinkie’s help to get their village out from under the snow. And when we say stubborn, we don’t mean some aloof hemming and hawing; we mean Prince Rutherford seems willing to sacrifice his fellow yaks to snow sandwiches and sleeping piles instead of getting some much needed help. We’re dismantling some toxic yak-sculinity (THANKS JAMES!!!) as we watch ”Not Asking for Trouble” this week on Macintosh & Maud! Please subscribe and rate us on iTunes, Podchaser, or your favorite podcast app and use your best pony puns! It's the best way to help us get more listeners and build our community. Find us at: iTunes Spotify Patreon YouTube We were not prepared for a Rainbow Dash episode to be an early contender for best of the season, but this week’s episode might be a great candidate. Dash gets to live her dream with the Wonderbolts, then gets an unfortunate nickname, and HILARITY ENSUES. Watch as Rainbow Dash gives us the biggest smile known to ponydom, creating a classic gif we use almost constantly! Listen as Macintosh does his best to perform Dash doing her best to perform the rest of the Mane 6! Witness as we get emotional because it’s so ridiculously beautiful to see anypony get to live their dream and be so excited about it! We review “Newbie Dash” this week on Macintosh & Maud! Find us at: iTunes Spotify Patreon We're back with Rarity this week as she goes full film noir with Rainbow Dash. After Dash gets picked as an alternate for a Wonderbolts performance, she gets embroiled in a controversy as Spitfire gets sent away on (gasp) false pretenses. Rarity's been deep in detective novels for her new fashion line, though, and she takes on the case. Between Rarity's "narration," lots of adorable randoponies, and a wonderful message of friendship, there's a lot to enjoy in this episode. Dash is in a bit of a pickle this week trying to study for her Wonderbolts history test, and Twilight Sparkle knows just the person to help. At least, she thinks she does, until she discovers Rainbow Dash isn’t that great with traditional study methods. When the rest of the Mane 6 gets involved, it appears that passing this test is too lofty for the clouds…that is, until Dash reveals her secret studying style. And if that’s not enough to pique your interest, PINKIE PIE RAPS IN THIS EPISODE. It’s a fun stand-alone episode this week on Macintsoh & Maud! Macintosh & Maud have a Patreon! Dash is trying to get Ponyville qualified for the pegasus relay, but her team is...not the greatest. I mean, Fluttershy's adorable and kind but not the strongest flyer. And Bulk Biceps has...some wing shrinkage issues. So when Spitfire and Fleetfoot offer to let her join the Wonderbolts to fly for Cloudsdale it seems like the greatest thing ever. Except that Twilight Sparkle's got all the princess-level advice and reminds Dash of what her true priorities ought to be. Welcome to Rainbow Falls, everypony - let the Equestria Games qualifiers begin! If you've got questions or comments you can email us at macintoshandmaud@gmail.com or leave a comment on the episode. Rainbow Dash feels the need...the need for speed! On December 15, 2012, the world finally got a glimpse into an elite school established for the top one percent of Equestria’s Pegasus ponies. Its purpose was to teach the lost art of aerial equine acrobatics and to insure that the handful of ponies who graduated were the best in the world. They succeeded. Today, the land of Equestria calls it Wonderbolts Academy. The flyers call it: TOP GUN.OK, not exactly, but Dash and friends remind us of some other hotshot fighter jocks from pop culture. Though Dash isn’t willing to cut corners to get ahead, and that might just mean she has to leave the Wonderbolts behind...If you've got questions or comments you can email us at macintoshandmaud@gmail.com or leave a comment on the episode. Please subscribe and rate us on iTunes and use your best pony pun!
