Season 2 of Fireside Stories is coming... With a couple of changes. Firstly, we will now be releasing new episodes on a Tuesday at 5pm instead of the old time slot of Thursdays at 7am. This means each new episode will be ready for you to download in time for your morning commute. The first episode of Season 2 is scheduled to be released on May 4th. And secondly, we're changing the name of the podcast. We've noticed that there are several podcasts already called Fireside Stories, so we're changing the name of this podcast to Alexander Maberry's Tales from the Tower.

A real life ghost story that effected people from all walks of life right across the United Kingdom during the mid 1980s. This episode was written and produced by Elliot Randall Wood and is read by professional magician and voice over artist Jay Gatling. This is the fifth and final episode in our run of Christmas themed topics, and is also the final podcast of 2020. This week's episode is a reading of the poem The Ballad of the Harp-Weaver by Edna St. Vincent Millay, written in 1922. I first heard this poem recited by the great American wizard Eugene Burger, who would use this poem during seances. Sadly Eugene Burger died on the 8th of August 2017 and so this episode is dedicated to him. Eugene Burger's work has been an inspiration to all at Alexander Maberry's Museum of Strange Things and indeed forms the foundation of much that we do. We hope you enjoy this rendition of the poem and we'd like to wish all our listeners a happy and peaceful New Year. You can visit the museum's website by going to maberrysmuseum.com.
