Does GOD still heal? Does GOD want to heal? Is He willing to heal me? These are all questions we wrestle with on this new podcast from Anchor Movement.

Over 20 years ago I had a dramatic experience that would change my life forever. On a hot day in August, I found myself lying in a hospital bed getting my football uniform cut off in preparation for my first of three X-rays. What happened over the next few hours, days and weeks would define my perspective of GOD and His healing power for the rest of my life. I want to tell you that story. I want to bring hope to you no matter where you are today. In our COVID-19 world where infection rates and death rates are read like the back of a cereal box, I want to show you that GOD is the ultimate Healer and He is still in the business of healing His children.

Oftentimes we miss the gifts that GOD has given because we are too focused on our problems or circumstances. In this podcast, Drew & Valerie look at the little ways GOD has blessed them and how we can be more aware of all the gifts GOD is trying to give us.  

How many times in life do we quit because we are afraid to fail? Or, how often do we underperform because we are only concentrating on failing? GOD has designed each one of us with a unique purpose and calling and equipped us to accomplish those missions. Today, Drew looks at the Old Testament character Nehemiah and how he refused to fail even under some of the most difficult circumstances. 

Oftentimes we find ourselves not being able to move forward because we are still chained to our past. Bad decisions, thought patterns, and life events have uprooted our future by continuing to remind us of the past. What now, GOD?? How did I get here? What do I do next? What now? Too often in life we find ourselves in these “what now” moments. In 2020, it was COVID-19. In my life it was a job loss. In your life it might be a diagnosis. Whatever the case, “what now” is sure to come and how we handle these moments could determine the direction of our lives.

Have you ever felt blindsided by bad unexpected news? Maybe it was a physical diagnosis or a job loss. Whatever the case, we all at one time or another will face unexpected news. How we handle that news will determine the course of our destiny. Join Drew as he dives into at 2 Chronicles 20 and discovers a character that gives us a perfect example of what to do when we are given unexpected news.

Loneliness is something that we all struggle with. Maybe for you it's not a physical loneliness, but it's a spiritual or emotional loneliness. Our enemy wants nothing more than to make us feel alone, weak, and unwanted, but GOD's truth says so much more. In Him we are never alone, strong in our weakness, and have been chosen for a specific purpose. 2 Timothy 4:16-18: The first time I was brought before the judge, no one came with me. Everyone abandoned me. May it not be counted against them. But the Lord stood with me and gave me strength so that I might preach the Good News in its entirety for all the Gentiles to hear. And he rescued me from certain death. Yes, and the Lord will deliver me from every evil attack and will bring me safely into his heavenly Kingdom. All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.

Death is not something we associate the Christmas season with, but The baby born in a manger was born to die. Jesus was sent to the Earth for a specific destiny and mission and it started in the manager and finished at the cross. Jesus was born to die so that we could live. After a short hiatus, the Anchor Movement podcast is back! Drew finishes up the Embrace the Delay series with “The Greatest Delay” where we discover three things that Jesus accomplished by delaying in the tomb: 1. He became the sacrificial lamb, 2. He defeated death, and 3. We became the righteousness of GOD in Christ Jesus.

Abraham is known as a man of great faith, but even this man of faith experienced delays in the promises of GOD. In this podcast, we learn how Abraham through his compromises led to a "Delay in the Promise."

Abraham was a great man of faith, but like many of us, he made decisions that put his "Promises on Hold." Today, Drew explores how we can learn from Abraham's delay and move toward the promise of GOD on our life.

How would you like to skip the delays in your life and move right into the calling GOD has for you? Caleb knew what it meant to seize the promises of GOD and not allow himself to be delayed. He saw the promise land and knew that GOD had prepared that land for Israel and instead of looking at the obstacles Israel faced, he kept his focus on the faithfulness of GOD. In this podcast, we explore how to skip the delays and move in the direction of the calling of GOD on your life.

We continue the Embrace the Delay series with King Saul and his Destiny, Delay, and Destruction. Saul was chosen by GOD to be the first king of Israel. He was handsome, tall, and born to be king, but he allowed pride in his delay keep him from seeing the fullness of GOD’s blessing in his life. In this podcast, we encourage our listeners to embrace who GOD has made them to be, be patient in their delays, and repent when we miss the mark.

As we continue the Embrace the Delay series, we take a journey into the life of King David. David was anointed King over Israel at the age of 15, but there was only 1 problem, Israel already had a King and his name was Saul. Saul hated David and wanted him dead. For 15 years, David ran from Saul's attacks and finally toward the end of his delay gave up. What we learn from David is that even in the most trying, frustrating, and heart wrenching delays, giving up is a never a good choice. 

Daniel was caught in a moment of delay from the time he started praying until he received his answer. What Daniel did while he was delayed, built not only his faith, but also gives us a great example of how to stand tall in the midst of delayed prayers. 

Naaman was a great warrior, but he struggled with a secret. He was a leper.  In the middle of his search for healing came a delay that was not caused by GOD, but by Naaman. In our own life we can make the decision to fully commit to the what and how of GOD’s plan or we can let our own expectations lead us away from what GOD has already planned. In this podcast, Drew Blackston continues the series Embrace the Delay. 

Many times we believe the delays in our life only happen for us, but what if that isn't the case. What if the delays in your life are for those around you? What if your delay is actually GOD using you for a perception change? In John 11, we see a delay from Jesus that not only brought Him glory, but changed the people around Him forever.

In Exodus 32, the children of Israel made a decision to move out of God's will because of their own frustration in the midst of a delay. This story is a great example of how GOD divinely orchestrates delays in our life and how we can fully embrace the delay in any season of life.

Jesus used 6 stone pots to turn water into wine for His first miracle. Just like those stone pots, GOD wants to use us today and fill our emptiness with His living water.
