Nick Lloyd. Guest Nick Lloyd recounts the high-stakes drama of the 1914 German invasion, focusing on the pivotal Battle of the Marne. He describes the near-destruction of the British Expeditionary Force and the internal conflict between Kitchener and Sir John French, where Kitchener had to personally intervene to prevent a British retreat that might have shattered the alliance. On the German side, Lloyd explains the command collapse that occurred when Moltke, stationed far away in Luxembourg, ordered General von Kluck to wheel inward instead of enveloping Paris. This decision, combined with the exhaustion of German troops who had marched hundreds of miles on foot, allowed General Joffre to execute a daring counter-offensive. Joffre's famous order for his men to "die on the spot" rather than retreat successfully stopped the Schlieffen Plan and drove the Germans back to the Aisne River. This moment marked the end of maneuver and the beginning of the grueling trench warfare. 51916

Welcome to your weekly UAS News Update. We have three stories for you this week: the FCC opens the door for Chinese toy drones but with a massive catch, Walmart and Wing are expanding drone delivery, and a Lee County DFR drone gets shot at with a BB gun. Let's get to it.First up this week, the FCC just announced they will allow new models of Chinese "toy drones" to be imported into the US. But before you get excited, the rules are so tight that almost nothing qualifies! To be considered a toy under this new exemption, a drone must weigh no more than 150 grams or 5.29 ounces. It must stay within 100 meters or 328 feet line-of-sight, fly no longer than 10 minutes on a charge, have a 300-foot altitude ceiling, and a speed cap of 10 meters-per-second or 22 mph. Most importantly, it can have NO GPS, no brushless motors, and absolutely no camera or network capability. To put that in perspective, the DJI Neo weighs just 135 grams, which passes the weight test. But it carries a 12-megapixel, 1/2-inch sensor shooting 4K video, uses a wireless link rated for 7 kilometers, has brushless motors, and flies for 18 minutes. So, it completely fails the rest of the requirements! And obviously, drones like the Mini 4 Pro or the new Mini 5 Pro at 249 grams don't even pass the weight check. Next we have a massive expansion in drone delivery that is putting two major operators on a direct collision course. Walmart and their drone partner Wing just announced seven new metro areas for their delivery network, including Memphis, New Orleans, Philadelphia, Phoenix, San Diego, the San Francisco Bay Area, and Salt Lake City. Wing has already completed well over one million commercial deliveries, averaging about 23 minutes per drop. The service is free for Walmart+ members and $19.99 for everyone else. The snag here is that Amazon Prime Air is staging operations in Memphis and is actively conducting flights in Phoenix. This means we'll see both aircraft operating in the same airspace.Wing uses a smaller, purpose-built drone that hovers and lowers packages on a tether. Amazon, on the other hand, uses their MK-30 drone, which weighs 83 pounds and carries up to 5 pounds of cargo. Amazon has also had a few incidents this year with the MK-30 reportedly crashing into a construction crane twice, an internet cable, and an apartment building. Last up, The Lee County Sheriff's Office in southwest Florida released footage showing a man firing a BB gun at one of its UAS during a search operation. The drone was flying as part of the department's Drone First Responder program while searching for a bear when its operator spotted a group of men who appeared to be shooting a firearm into a wooded area. The released video shows one man pointing a BB gun at the drone and firing twice. The arrest occurred on Saturday, with deputies using the live feed as real-time evidence to support the arrest.Firing at any aircraft, including drones, is a federal felony under 18 U.S.C. § 32, "Destruction of aircraft or aircraft facilities". The penalty runs up to 20 years in prison, a fine, or both. The classification of drones as aircraft is established in 18 U.S.C. § 31(a)(1), which defines "aircraft" as any contrivance invented, used, or designed to navigate, fly, or travel in the air. The FAA has previously confirmed that shooting at an unmanned aircraft falls under Section 32, and federal prosecutors have charged individuals on that basis.And the conversation continues on Post flight where we discuss these stories uncensored in the Premium Community, link is in the description. Brands describes how, by the summer of 1939, the destruction of Poland by German and Soviet forces confirmed that war was imminent, prompting Roosevelt to invoke neutrality laws as required by Congress. Despite his desire for privacy, Lindbergh began using his celebrity status to secure national radio airtime, feeling a duty to prevent Americafrom repeating what he viewed as the "mistake" of the First World War. His father, a former congressman, had been driven out of politics for opposing American intervention in 1917, a legacy that instilled in Lindbergh a profound distrust of politics as a "mean business" where truth was rare. Lindbergh argued that Britain and France were launching a war they could not win and would eventually force the United States into a permanent presence in Europe. During this period, he consulted with figures like Herbert Hoover, who suggested forming a committee that would eventually become "America First," and visited the "House of Morgan" through his wife's family connections. British observers, such as Harold Nicolson, were less impressed, dismissing Lindbergh as a "schoolboy" who possessed technical talent but lacked a mature understanding of diplomacy and the complexities of governing a great empire. Sermon Outline: "On My Father's Side" Preacher: Pastor Lemuel Miller (Guest Speaker / Advisory Board Member) Location: Church of the Harvest I. Introduction: The Temple and the Root Causes of Sickness The Caleb Spirit: At nearly 74 years old, Pastor Lemuel shares his experience winning a silver medal at the national arm wrestling championship, emphasizing that our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19). We must actively care for our physical templates so that the Holy Ghost is not "living in a garage or a shed." Commanding Prayers vs. Begging: In his book Prayers for Healing, Pastor Lemuel explains that many believers stay in ignorance, begging God for things He has already accomplished. Spiritual maturity requires switching from begging prayers to authoritative, commanding prayers. Uprooting Sickness: True physical restoration requires looking past the surface pain and identifying the structural root causes of diseases. Migraine Headaches: Often rooted in trauma and bitterness. Kidney Disease: Rooted in deep unforgiveness, bitterness, fear, and self-rejection. Leukemia: Often linked to bitterness and paternal rejection. Lupus: Can stem from deep-seated guilt, self-hatred, and low self-esteem. II. Point 1: Understanding Jesus as a 100% Human Example The Human Dependency: Reading from John 5:19, Jesus explicitly declares that the Son can do absolutely nothing of Himself except what He sees the Father do. Many Christians incorrectly attribute Jesus' earthly miracles to His inherent divinity, forgetting that He stripped Himself of that privilege to come as a 100% vulnerable human baby. The Earthly Blueprint: Jesus had to fully depend on human care and look directly to His Heavenly Father for supernatural strength. By doing this, He serves as a complete human blueprint for how we are meant to walk out authority on Earth. III. Point 2: The Full Meaning of Salvation (Sozo) Fire Insurance vs. Full Rights: Most modern believers view being "saved" purely as a post-death ticket to Heaven to avoid Hell. The Greek Meaning: In Matthew 1:21, the term for save is the Greek word Sozo. When properly translated, it means you are actively rescued from: Accidents, injuries, physical harm, and structural danger. Destruction, risk, peril, loss, and premature/untimely death. Sickness, chronic disease, physical infirmity, and generational curses. The Transacted Benefits: True Sozo simultaneously grants the believer legal rights to divine prosperity, total deliverance from addictions, inner strength, structural healing, and operational wholeness. IV. Point 3: The Conversation in the Temple (The Two Sides) Using a vivid exploration of Luke 2:47, Pastor Lemuel illustrates the 12-year-old Jesus sitting among the elite rabbis and theologians, contrasting His dual lineage: On My Mother's Side: Born into natural law, generational trauma, human limitations, fear, hunger, thirst, trouble, and the lingering curse of sin. On My Father's Side: Formed in supernatural law, eternal life, and generational blessings. The Supernatural Exchange: * Hungry/Thirsty: On His mother's side, He fasts; on His Father's side, He is the Bread of Life and a well that never runs dry. Natural Law: His mother's side is bound to gravity; His Father sits upon the flood (Psalm 29:10)—and a Father who sits on the flood raises a Son who walks on water. Surrounding Defense: On His Father's side, He is covered by feathers and wings (Psalm 91:4), meaning His truth functions as a structural shield, buckler, and surrounding defense against the snare of the fowler. Age and Identity: On His mother's side, He is a 12-year-old from Nazareth; on His Father's side, He is the Ancient of Days, Alpha and Omega, the Architect of the Universe, and the Lamb slain before the foundation of the world. V. Point 4: Operating in Dunamis Power The Age of Public Service: In Hebrew culture, a priest could not step into public high-priestly service until age 30. Accordingly, Jesus did not perform public miracles until reaching this baseline. The Necessity of Anointing: Acts 10:38 states that God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and power. If Jesus was operating strictly as God, He wouldn't require an anointing or a companion. He operated as an anointed human being. Miraculous Power (Dunamis): When the Holy Ghost fills a believer, they receive Dunamis power—the explosive, dynamic, and supernatural capacity to perform miracles. Rebuking the Root: When dealing with demonic possession (Acts 16), Peter's mother-in-law's fever (Luke 4), or the raging sea (Mark 4), Jesus always used sharp, severe, and authoritative rebukes (epitimao). In the storm, He did not rebuke the water; He rebuked the wind—the structural root cause of the problem. VI. Conclusion: Activating Faith vs. Waiting The Whip Post Transaction: Based on Isaiah 53:5 and 1 Paragraph 2:24, our healing is already completely provided in the past tense ("by whose stripes you were healed"). Healing was legally settled at the whipping post, not two years from now. Faith is Practical Action: Believers fail to receive because they allow passive doubt to eat their seed of faith. Like the ten lepers in Luke 17, their structural healing manifested on the way because they actively moved in obedience to Jesus' command. Healing vs. Wholeness: While nine lepers were cleansed (cured of the disease), the Samaritan leper who turned back to worship Jesus was made whole (Sozo). Healing cures the virus; wholeness creatively restores every limb, finger, or piece of flesh that was eaten away or missing. The prophet Micah, a contemporary of Isaiah, prophesied the coming judgment of God on the kingdoms of Israel and Judah at the hand of the Assyrians.Our chronological reading order brings the book of Micah into the middle of our study of Isaiah. While Isaiah prophesied a day when the kingdom of Judah would declare, "God is my salvation," Micah's prophecy is a warning of God's imminent judgment for the sins of Judah and Samaria.We see both prophecies as being of the "already but not yet" type, fulfilled in the eighth century BC, but with a future fulfillment still to come. From there, he helped start up a new copper development organisation, CIDEC, financed by copper producers, which he then joined, focusing on conducting end-use studies of copper in Europe.He then went into the City to gain financial experience and founded Brook Hunt in 1975. He was instrumental in setting up the company's cost studies and end-use analyses. He appeared as material witness and consultant in two ITC anti-dumping cases in 1978 and 1984, winning both at the commission level.He has spent 2-4 months every year in China since 1993 and until a few years ago would be visiting some 80 wire and cable and brass mill factories across the country every year. He now restricts these factory visits to a smaller number, all of which he has known for many years. He also spends many weeks each year traveling around Asia.The focus of the company's services is on the global economy, including the changing geopolitical and financial structures, China's economy and its copper sector, and then the global copper industry as each part is interconnected.Simon is the author of the “Frontline China Report Service,” which is marketed by the TIS Group.
