Luke and Daniel share a common goal in waking up the church. Theme verse: 2 Corinthians 2:4
Luke Nichols and Daniel Faulkner
Life is full of trials. Every day we live, we go through one. Every person on earth has gone through one. So let's talk about how to go through them. Hint: Rely on the Lord! Key Verse: James 1:2-4
Worship is a term that has lost its true meaning in the context of the church. It has become a time where simply we sing songs to God, whether heartfelt or not. We need to get back to the true meaning and experience of worship in the context of the Bible rather than the context of culture. We share some Scripture to help guide us back to true worship, which should be constant in our lives, and not just present when we're at church. Key Verse: Romans 12:1
In a different type of episode, Luke and Daniel present a challenge: read a Proverb a day in the month of April. The book of Proverbs is full of wisdom that can be very useful to us as believers to show the love of Christ to those around us. When you read through the book, you gain an understanding of the difference between those who are in Christ and those who are not, based on the actions and mindsets they live out. Join us in this challenge! Key Verse: Proverbs 1:7
Daniel and Luke share their heart behind the importance of spending time with those who do not have faith in Christ. When we only surround ourselves with Christians, we keep ourselves from living out the Great Commission, which quite literally is a command to go into the WORLD and preach the Gospel to those who don't believe. So get outta your Christian bubble and spend time with those who don't know Christ, they're dying to know Him and seek some solid community! Key Verse: Matthew 28:18-20
Any form of the Gospel that is not completely found in the Word of God is wrong, incomplete, and false. And this form of "watered-down" Gospel has infiltrated our churches and pulpits in ways that it never should. Our goal with this episode is to make clear what this "Gospel" looks like and how it can lead to an eternity of separation from God. Don't let yourself or anyone around be influenced by this wrong teaching. BBB Brecommendations: Daniel - anything from Paul Washer // Luke - Defend and Confirm podcast Key Verse: Romans 1:16
In this episode, Luke and Daniel break down the importance of not being a stumbling block. It's one of the most important things we can do as Christians--not allow others to stumble. Be mindful of the decisions you make and the words you say around others, because there's a chance someone could fall into temptation when you allow those temptations to arise. Key Verse: Luke 17:1-2
In this episode, we address a well-known spiritual discipline: prayer. How to do it, what to say, what it looks like, all the good stuff. Then, we address how to put it into action in accordance with our faith. But prayer builds a strong relationship with our Father, one that's greater than any relationship we can build on this earth. And all good relationships are built on communication. Anyway, hope y'all enjoy this episode! Key Verse: Philippians 4:6
In the first episode of 2021, we welcome a special guest--Lamar Land--who also has a podcast! Talk about a COLLAB! Anyway, we're talking about what love means in the context of the church and God and how culture has shifted the definition of it, both through overuse and "watering down" of the truth of it. We as the church need to readjust back to the biblical definition of love and how it should impact our faith walk. Theme Verse: 1 John 4:19
We're back from quarantine! In this episode, we talk about the importance of living a life that is not in sin. If you are deliberately living in sin, you need to do a life-check. We're not saying that if you sin, you're not saved; however, live in the right mindset and approach sin in the same way Christ would. Key Verse: Hebrews 10:26
Accountability, like discipleship, is a huge part of the Christian faith. It helps us stay on the right path and keep our focus on following Jesus, not to mention helping us keep away from our struggles. Developing accountability within your life is tough to start, but so rewarding. Listen in to hear what accountability is, why we do it, and how to go about it. Key Verse: James 5:16
In this episode, we discuss why the prosperity and patriotic (a form of prosperity) gospel are wrong and why the true Gospel is right. Every. Single. Time. We try to put our identity in the feel-good message of prosperity preachers or in a political party, but those will always fail us. So vote JESUS 2020. Key Verse: John 3:16
Evangelism is definitely a large part of what we're supposed to do as believers. But what comes after evangelism? Discipleship. So that's what we're talking about in this episode: discipleship, its importance, and how we go about doing it. Key Verse: 2 Timothy 2:2
This episode focuses on the idea of us being good enough to save ourselves, which is an absolute lie. There is nothing we could ever do for our salvation except provide the sin that made it necessary. Luke and Daniel share how the world has misconstrued that part of the Gospel and made it into something that promotes self-righteousness. Jesus is the only way to Heaven, remember that. Key Verse: John 14:6
Daniel and Luke share the message of putting Christ first in your faith rather than yourself. In the culture of modern Christianity, we have for so long put ourselves as the subject of many Bible stories, but that's not how it's supposed to be. God is the center of it all, and no other person shall ever be in the place of Him. Key Verse: 2 Timothy 4:3-5
Luke and Daniel (and special guest Hannah) share what it looks like to truly and effectively share the Gospel versus how we can end up doing it wrong. We need to ensure that we speak with love and grace and don't force our viewpoints on other people; rather, simply teach them that sin left them dead, but God sacrificed His own Son for us. Key Verse: Colossians 4:5-6
Luke and Daniel (mainly Daniel) share their heart behind missions and the COMMAND we have to go and share the Gospel. It's a responsibility every believer has, but we have to understand and follow that responsibility; it's not a choice. Pray for yourselves, pray for those around you, and pray for those across the world who don't know Christ. Key Verse: Acts 1:8
In this episode, Luke and Daniel talk about words that are spoken in church often, but may not have been clearly explained or clarified. Even words simple as prayer and salvation are heard all the time, but do we know the scriptural basis for them and what they truly mean? Tune in to hear the explanation of these "churchy" words.
This week, Luke and Daniel share their perspective on how the movement of "cool Christianity" has affected the true spirituality of the American church. The "coolness" of Christianity is a treacherous road to follow that can lead to a life apart from Christ, even when it seems everything is for Him. Key verse: Luke 6:22
For the first topic, Luke and Daniel share their heart as to why sin is a whole lot worse than "okay." It leads people to death and an eternity away and apart from God. Make sure you're living a life that exemplifies a Christlike lifestyle and not a sinful lifestyle. Key verse: Isaiah 59:2
Who's the Bible Belt Bros? Two guys that want to help WAKE UP THE CHURCH. Luke and Daniel share a common goal in calling believers to stand up and speak out about the TRUE Gospel. Let's get this journey started!
