HOUR 4- Klein's Cockroaches, Collab or Fauxlab and MORE full 1489 Wed, 26 Aug 2026 15:39:00 +0000 zkwqXoYNc5o1SYo0cSHDMyE5FAC7q9OL society & culture Klein/Ally Show: The Podcast society & culture HOUR 4- Klein's Cockroaches, Collab or Fauxlab and MORE Klein.Ally.Show on KROQ is more than just a "dynamic, irreverent morning radio show that mixes humor, pop culture, and unpredictable conversation with a heavy dose of realness." (but thanks for that quote anyway). Hosted by Klein, Ally, and a cast of weirdos (both on the team and from their audience), the show is known for its raw, offbeat style, offering a mix of sarcastic banter, candid interviews, and an unfiltered take on everything from culture to the chaos of everyday life. With a loyal, engaged fanbase and an addiction for pushing boundaries, the show delivers the perfect blend of humor and insight, all while keeping things fun, fresh, and sometimes a little bit illegal. 2024 © 2021 Audacy, Inc. The President is now beefing with Hasan Piker. God, please save us. On today's episode, the boys talk about how the internet isn't real life (or at least, shouldn't be), why we don't trust Hakeem Jeffries to do anything positive in his secret meeting with Jared Kushner, a series of republican switch ups (on data centers & AIPAC), and Ezra Klein's latest think piece about Twitter. The internet is not real life, and this merger between online political discourse and actual politics is messy, to say the least.Early access on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/headintheofficepodYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC4iJ-UcnRxYnaYsX_SNjFJQSubscribe to second channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC3UoTN328OA7fK2dzicP-ZATikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@headintheoffice?lang=enInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/headintheoffice/Twitter: https://twitter.com/headintheofficeThreads: https://www.threads.com/@headintheofficeDiscord: https://discord.gg/hito Collab inquiries: headintheofficepod@gmail.com(0:00) STOP TALKING ABOUT HASAN PIKER(9:30) Hakeem Jeffries meets with Jared Kushner(15:25) Mike Rogers distances himself from AIPAC(24:00) Republicans switch up on data centers(36:10) Ezra Klein, woke 1.0, conservative media bias(1:12:00) Reviews/endingSeen on this episode:Hakeem Jeffries meets with Kushner - https://www.nytimes.com/2026/08/23/us/politics/jeffries-kushner-private-meeting.html Recent GOP flip flops on AIPAC & data centers - https://www.axios.com/2026/08/22/mike-rogers-aipac-michigan-senate https://www.politico.com/news/2026/08/24/data-centers-oh-s-t-moment-01046465 https://www.washingtonpost.com/technology/2026/08/23/most-gop-politicians-now-talk-negatively-about-data-centers-data-shows/ https://www.axios.com/2026/08/23/greg-abbott-texas-data-centers-ai-backlash https://prospect.org/2026/08/20/mi-07-tom-barrett-scrambles-to-bury-his-data-center-past/ Ezra Klein article - https://www.nytimes.com/2026/08/23/opinion/twitter-x-woke-1-elon-musk.htmlhttps://www.cnn.com/2025/09/10/politics/relationship-charlie-kirk-donald-trump
Fingers boozeletter author Dave Infante joins the Brewbound Podcast to deep dive Diageo's ongoing restructuring and workforce slashing under CEO Sir Dave Lewis (aka "Drastic Dave" for his reputation for making big cuts at previous stops). Infante shares insights from his reporting and conversations with Diageo employees, many of whom wondered why the Guinness and Johnnie Walker maker was so slow to adapt to the modern bev-alc competitive landscape. "The frustration that I heard from current and former Diageo employees was mostly about why weren't we doing this before we had to start laying everyone off," Infante tells Brewbound editor Justin Kendall and managing editor Jessica Infante (no relation). "You don't have to get to this point before you start pivoting to RTDs." The trio also hit recent headlines, including Garage Beer and Liquid Death tapping into the real world animosity around data centers and BuzzBallz's recent Pop-Tarts partnership. Jessica offered a theory on the BuzzBallz-Pop-Tarts team up: "Kids aren't eating Pop-Tarts. You know who's eating Pop-Tarts? Sad, elder millennials who can't afford anything else and want a tiny treat. The moms who would be out marching on the capitol up in arms against this aren't feeding that to their kids." "They're the ones who are intrigued by the BuzzBallz Pop-Tarts that they saw on Instagram," Dave adds. "That's definitely going into their Stanley tumblers," Jess says.

When we first covered the disappearance of 14-year-old Laureen Rahn back in Episode 006, the case already felt unsettling: the dark apartment building, the unscrewed lightbulbs, the open doors, the strange phone calls, and the lingering question of whether Laureen left on her own or whether someone led her into the darkness. But years later, the story is not quite the same. In this collaboration episode, we join Speculating Wildly About Crime, Dark Woods Paranormal, and Midnight Mystery Archive to revisit Laureen's case with fresh eyes, new conversations, and details that challenge some of what many of us thought we knew. Together, we discuss the pieces of the original story that may not hold up, the people who have come forward with new perspective, the possibility that the focus of the case may have been pointed in the wrong direction for decades, and why a renewed push from investigators could matter now more than ever. This is not just a look back at an old case. It is a reminder that sometimes the truth is not found in the loudest theory, but in the details someone finally decides to share. If you have any information about Laureen Rahn's disappearance, please contact the New Hampshire Cold Case Unit at 603-271-2663 or email coldcaseunit@dos.nh.gov. Hakeem Jeffries, the Bulwark, and Third Way can't help themselves from throwing cold water on the only faction of the party that has any motion right now. Whether it be Jeffries shadowboxing with defund the police rhetoric on Meet the Press, or Third Way announcing a $15 million investment into an effort to discredit the DSA, one thing is clear: the moderates are freaking out. The Florida primary happened this week and the boys break down what we can learn from the mixed bag of results, and what the possible general election scenarios could mean for the progressive movement and Florida as a whole. With general election season in full effect in Michigan, it's important to familiarize ourselves with Abdul El-Sayed's opponent Mike “mass surveillance” Rogers. Through statements and his own legislative record, Mike has made a career out of defending and helping contribute to the mass surveillance of US citizens by the US government.Early access on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/headintheofficepodYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC4iJ-UcnRxYnaYsX_SNjFJQSubscribe to second channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC3UoTN328OA7fK2dzicP-ZATikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@headintheoffice?lang=enInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/headintheoffice/Twitter: https://twitter.com/headintheofficeThreads: https://www.threads.com/@headintheofficeDiscord: https://discord.gg/hito Collab inquiries: headintheofficepod@gmail.com(0:00) Hakeem Jeffries is an op(8:30) The coordinated anti-DSA operation (Bulwark & Third Way)(39:10) ELECTION WATCH: Florida(49:50) ELECTION WATCH: Michigan & Mass Surveillance Mike Rogers(1:10:20) Reviews/EndingSeen on this episode:Michigan election news - https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2026/08/18/democrats-road-retaking-senate-complicated-by-michigan/ https://michiganadvance.com/2026/08/19/telecom-industry-gave-mike-rogers-nearly-100k-while-he-pushed-to-deepen-government-data-sharing/Florida election news - https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2026-primary-special-elections/florida-senate-resultshttps://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2026/08/18/us/elections/results-florida-governor-primary.html Attacks on the DSA - https://www.thebulwark.com/p/is-the-dsa-a-republican-psy-op?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=subshttps://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/390527/the-new-principled-anti-americanism/ https://www.nytimes.com/2026/08/06/us/politics/democratic-party-socialists-moderates.html?eafs_enabled=false

Every business owner has seen the Instagram "collab" — two brands mashing up their audiences and hoping some of it sticks. What most people miss is that this idea is a hundred years old, and the best version of it doesn't happen on a platform at all.In this episode, Chris breaks down real-world collaboration through the lens of peer leadership — a concept he first wrote about in his book Help First. Find people who could benefit from exposure to your audience, help them first, and only then ask them to reciprocate.Chris introduces a two-part framework for making this work without locking yourself into a limiting exclusive partnership: open multiple pathways to your business, then actively lead people down them, because referrals don't happen on their own.Four real examples, pulled straight from Help First and Chris's own gym, show exactly how this plays out: bringing in outside speakers who cross-promote to their own list, co-promoting events with complementary businesses, selling the ad space you're not using, and building a formal referral system instead of hoping word-of-mouth shows up on its own. Each example comes with a specific action to take this week — no algorithm required. If you've been waiting for the right platform to run a "collab," this episode makes the case that the opportunity has been sitting in your own community the whole time.Connect with Chris Cooper:Website - https://businessisgood.com/

Matt Yglesias and ANDREW CUOMO have a lot to say about the growing progressive movement, and the boys have a lot to say about their articles. Yglesias tries to give silly advice on how Abdul El-Sayed can appeal to moderate voters, and Cuomo, the disgraced former Governor of New York, wants to let us know how much he dislikes progressives by claiming the Democrats who vote for them are… immigrants!? Then, the #1 geopolitical podcast restakes its claim to the throne by talking about the current Iran war situation, the deteriorating conditions on the USS Lincoln, Pete Hegseth's “warrior ethos”, and what's going on in Gaza.Early access on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/headintheofficepodYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC4iJ-UcnRxYnaYsX_SNjFJQSubscribe to second channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC3UoTN328OA7fK2dzicP-ZATikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@headintheoffice?lang=enInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/headintheoffice/Twitter: https://twitter.com/headintheofficeThreads: https://www.threads.com/@headintheofficeDiscord: https://discord.gg/hito Collab inquiries: headintheofficepod@gmail.com(0:00) Matt Yglesias has ideas for Abdul El-Sayed(8:30) Intro(10:15) Andrew Cuomo's anti-Abdul El-Sayed Op-Ed(33:30) Geopolitics: Iran, USS Lincoln, Gaza(58:20) Reviews/endingSeen on this episode:Cuomo Op-Ed - https://www.nydailynews.com/2026/08/13/democrats-must-resist-shifting-far-left/ Iran war updates - https://www.axios.com/2026/08/09/trump-iran-interview https://www.nytimes.com/2026/08/16/world/middleeast/iran-war-us-trump.html https://www.ms.now/news/conditions-safety-uss-lincoln-iran-war https://www.nytimes.com/2026/08/14/us/politics/trump-uss-abraham-lincoln.htmlGaza - https://apnews.com/article/gaza-ceasefire-kushner-netanyahu-hamas-palestinians-israel-321e254af26a0fff1b3ec2b8c00412a2https://apnews.com/article/ben-gvir-israel-gaza-hamas-netanyahu-53f98e92686746f3c9bccd7cf59f26adhttps://apnews.com/article/gaza-hamas-israel-deal-text-7347ef0f3b745f22c12b67f786b70f0fhttps://apnews.com/article/israel-palestinians-hamas-war-gaza-news-1215e52022856b9de9837237a0e188fa

This week on Straight To The Source, we're pulling up a chair with the humans behind two of Australia's most obsessed-over dessert brands: Oliver Allis, the guy who took a struggling frozen yoghurt shop from four stores to 75 (plus Singapore, because why not), and Eddie Stewart, the chef and baker who turned a drunken Tokyo night out into a Lamington institution. We're talking origin stories, cult followings, and the two-year "ghosting" saga that almost stopped their collaboration. Now Yo-Chi and Tokyo Lamington are dropping a full takeover: hand-dipped micro Lamingtons, a yoghurt that tastes like the real thing, and 5,000kg of collab magic hitting stores nationwide. Limited edition. Blink, and you'll miss it. Grab a spoon - this one's sweet, a little unhinged, and 100% worth the listen. In this episode: How Ollie turned a dying frozen yoghurt brand into a national name Eddie's pandemic-fuelled bakery hustle (and the drunk night that started it all) The full story behind the Yo-Chi x Tokyo Lamington collab Why "same values" beats big money every time in a good collaboration The sustainable packaging move most brands are too lazy to make. Yo-Chi's KeepCup-designed reusable "Go Bowl" (10% off every reuse) and Tokyo Lamington's tape-free, fully recyclable boxes Key Takeaways On why the collaboration took two years: Oliver first pitched mini lamingtons to Eddie in Newtown before Yo-Chii had even opened a Sydney store and didn't hear back for two years. "A two-year ghost," Eddie admits, before finally messaging: "We've cracked the code." The lesson, in Oliver’s words: "Put it out there, let it simmer, and see what happens." On instilling culture at scale: Ollie doesn't rely on a values statement. "We don't have values, we have stuff we care about," he says, running face-to-face sessions in every state to explain why small things, like smiling, matter to the business. On genuine hospitality: "If you put yourself under that pressure to build that team, you don't do a good job at it," says Eddie. "It just naturally comes." He points to Tokyo Lamington's Newtown store, where a largely Japanese staff have built their own community around staff lunches and after-work drinks. On choosing the right collaborators: "A great collaboration is two brands working together with the same values and the same endgame," says Eddie. Both founders say they've turned down or regretted partnerships where the other side was chasing profit over genuine brand fit. On sustainability as more than a gesture: Yo-Chi’s reusable Go Bowl program was co-designed with KeepCup, offers 10% off every reuse and has grown reuse rates from 0.01% to a record 1.3% of transactions. Tokyo Lamington's recyclable, tape-free boxes are, in Eddie's words, "a pain" for staff to fold but "a beautiful box" customers keep and repurpose. On taking the leap: Asked what advice they'd give their younger selves, Eddie says simply: "Take the chance and do it." Oliver’s answer: "Stay true to yourself. Stay curious." About Oliver Allis & Yo-Chi Oliver Allis is the co-founder and driving force behind Yo-Chi, one of Australia's most loved frozen yoghurt brands. After finishing his Bachelor of Business and a year travelling Latin America, Oliver teamed up with his father to take on Yo-Chi during the height of COVID, turning four struggling Melbourne venues into a national brand with 75 stores across Australia and international locations in Singapore. A self-described "brand marketing guy" at heart, Oliver has built Yo-Chi's cult following through bold local partnerships, sustainability initiatives like the reusable Go Bowl, and a company culture rooted in positivity over profit. When he's not dreaming up new yoghurt flavours, you'll find him tending to his backyard finger lime garden, 37 varieties and counting. About Eddie Stewart & Tokyo Lamington Eddie Stewart is the co-founder of Tokyo Lamington, the bakery brand born from a drunken night out in Japan. After a MasterChef stint and a COVID-scrapped plan to open in Tokyo, Eddie and business partner Min Chai opened their first shop on Australia Street with just $20,000 and a lot of hustle. What began with three hand-baked Lamington flavours has grown into a beloved brand with cafes in Marrickville and Newtown, known for seasonal collabs and a staff culture Eddie calls "one big family." A self-confessed cheese fiend, he's always up for a chat and a good collaboration. This episode is proudly brought to you by Seaway Logistics, local experts in global trade. Jay Schwedelson and Daniel Murray dig into the watermarking wave hitting Claude and ChatGPT, why it now lives inside the writing itself rather than the metadata, and what still slips past detection right now. Moderates cannot fail, they can only be failed... progressives on the other hand. The boys dive deep into Francesca Hong's loss in the Wisconsin Democratic Gubernatorial Primary to moderate David Crowley. POLITICO thinks the progressive left has hit its ceiling but the situation surrounding Crowley's win is more complicated and offers useful lessons for a progressive movement that is expanding its electoral ambitions. Peggy Flanagan won her Senate Primary in Minnesota in a landslide, but you won't hear much about it from the people trying to punch left. Stay tuned to the end of the show where the boys interview Oliver Larkin! Larkin is a DSA backed candidate for Florida's 25th Congressional district, running against Jared Moskowitz – the AIPAC backed, do nothing, “DeSantis Democrat” incumbent.Early access on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/headintheofficepodYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC4iJ-UcnRxYnaYsX_SNjFJQSubscribe to second channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC3UoTN328OA7fK2dzicP-ZATikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@headintheoffice?lang=enInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/headintheoffice/Twitter: https://twitter.com/headintheofficeThreads: https://www.threads.com/@headintheofficeDiscord: https://discord.gg/hito Collab inquiries: headintheofficepod@gmail.com(0:00) Moderates can never fail(3:45) Intro(9:22) ELECTION WATCH: Wisconsin(40:45) ELECTION WATCH: Minnesota(44:00) Fox News coverage of Abdul El-Sayed(51:55) Interview with Oliver Larkin(1:34:10) EndingSeen on this episode:Election watch: Wisconsin & Minnesota - https://www.politico.com/news/2026/08/12/dsa-progressive-francesca-hong-wisconsin-01035101 https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2026/08/11/us/elections/results-wisconsin-governor-primary.htmlhttps://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2026/08/11/us/elections/results-minnesota-primary.htmlhttps://www.nytimes.com/2026/08/12/us/politics/crowley-hong-wisconsin-governor-primary-polls.html

It says “safety” so how could it be bad? On today's episode, the boys dive into the topic of Flock surveillance – the cameras put up across the nation to spy on everyone that are receiving a propaganda boost recently. In other news, we are one week into the general election in Michigan and there's already so much Discourse™: Kamala Harris endorsed Abdul, zionist Democrats are threatening to vote for Mike Rogers, and Hillary Clinton thinks she's qualified to give advice on winning Michigan. The WNBA was also in the news this week when two washed-up former NBA players announced they were signing up for the WNBA draft to raise awareness about “men in women's sports”. The only men in women's sports are the conservative men that think they're making a point by doing the thing they claim trans women are doing. In Episode 54 of the Life Legacy podcast, Jaxon Cummings sits down with entrepreneur Josh Zieglowsky for an unusually vulnerable conversation about what it really takes to build a successful life.Josh shares his journey from working at Sears and taking commission-based jobs to real estate investing and eventually helping build an ERC-related business that grew from a small idea into more than $1.8 billion in sales in under three years. He explains that the breakthrough wasn't simply having a great idea—it came from surrounding himself with people who possessed skills he didn't have and learning to share the pie rather than trying to do everything himself. But the episode goes far beyond business. Josh talks openly about some of his biggest "strikeouts," including the emotional and financial consequences of an oil business investment involving his parents. His parents eventually sued him over their investment, creating an enormous personal and professional strain. Rather than allowing the conflict to define the rest of his relationship with them, Josh ultimately chose to repay their investment even though he wasn't legally required to, creating an opportunity for reconciliation. The conversation then explores family conflict more broadly, including Josh's efforts to help his nephew reconcile with his estranged parents. His central message is that sometimes reconciliation requires someone to stop focusing on being right and instead focus on preserving relationships for the next generation.Jaxon also shares his own emotional experience with his father, including how prayer and forgiveness changed their relationship before his father's death. The conversation emphasizes how easily we can become consumed by arguments that ultimately won't matter nearly as much as the relationship itself.Josh also discusses his spiritual journey, including being excommunicated from the LDS Church in his younger years and eventually returning to the church more than two decades later. He describes how the experience ultimately gave him greater empathy for people whose spiritual journeys don't look like his own.Ultimately, Josh defines "rich" not simply as financial wealth, but as creating meaningful memories with his family. His goal is to build enough financial freedom to spend more time with his wife, children, and eventually grandchildren. The episode ends with perhaps the clearest statement of Josh's philosophy: if he had one final opportunity to speak to his loved ones, he would tell them to continue creating and building love with one another.CONNECT WITH JOSH ZIEGLOWSKYWebsite - https://meetjoshz.com/ Instagram -https://www.instagram.com/thejoshz/ Podcast - https://www.instagram.com/theflatbillinvestor/ LISTEN/WATCH/SUBSCRIBE TO THE “YOUR LIFE LEGACY PODCAST”*Apple Music - https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-life-legacy-podcast/id1740167449 *Spotify - https://open.spotify.com/show/2Cd8XFP59Ar864GcaoEDxW *YouTube Podcasts - https://www.youtube.com/@thelifelegacypodcast *Amazon Music Podcasts - https://music.amazon.com/podcasts/b1949e1f-a973-47da-b1e0-538945afa748/the-life-legacy-podcast *iHeartRadio Podcasts - https://www.iheart.com/podcast/269-the-life-legacy-podcast-165910407 CONNECT WITH “THE LIFE LEGACY PODCAST”*LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/in/jaxon-cummings-%F0%9F%92%AD%F0%9F%8E%A5-24b40a149/ *Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/lifelegacypodcast/ *TikTok - https://www.tiktok.com/@lifelegacypodcast *YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/@thelifelegacypodcast *Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61558217934317 *Threads - https://www.threads.net/@lifelegacypodcast *X - https://twitter.com/lifelegacypod *Website - https://your-life-legacy.com/ *Email for general messages - lifelegacypodcast@outlook.com *Collab with us - lifelegacypodcast@outlook.com*Sponsor Us - lifelegacypodcast@outlook.com

Abdul El-Sayed is Michigan's Democratic nominee for Senate! Today, the boys delve deep into the DISCOURSE surrounding El-Sayed's primary win, what it meant to beat Haley Stevens, and how much work is needed to get him the win in November's general election. They also talk about down ballot races, most notably in MI-7 with Will Lawrence, and in MI-13 with Donavan Mckinney and their possible up ballot effects. This general is going to be messy and Republicans have already started launching vicious attacks against Abdul. From his full name to his association with Hasan Piker, there will be no (racist) stone unturned when it comes to associating this man with terrorism for the crime of being Muslim in America. Transforming a neighborhood starts with people who refuse to give up on it. In Episode 160 of Recovery On Air, Andrea Northup, Assistant Director of State & Community Relations and leader with 27 Collab, shares how a corridor once known as “the Blade” along 27th Avenue in Phoenix is being re‑imagined as a safe, walkable, thriving community. Andrea talks about how Grand Canyon University, churches, recovery programs, local businesses, residents, and city partners are working together around three core focuses: safety, restoration, and redevelopment. She also digs into the realities of homelessness, addiction, and sex trafficking in the area—and why recovery organizations must have a seat at the table for real, lasting change. If you care about recovery, community transformation, or faith in action, this episode will encourage you and challenge the way you see your own neighborhood.
When Stacey Lauren was eight years old, a girl who was deaf came to her house and fell in love with her Smurf collection. Stacey gave it away. All of it. Every last Smurf. Her mom was stunned. Stacey did not think twice. That instinct, giving without being asked, never left her. It drove 20 years of running a staffing company with 1,260 combined employees. It drove the identity crisis she fell into when she exited. And it drove the question she could not stop asking: why do so many people know what they want to do and still not do it?The answer she found was not about motivation or mindset. It was about rooms. The right rooms, full of people chasing the same goal, change everything. Not your friends. Not your family. People who are doing the thing alongside you. That discovery became a podcast, a methodology, a movement, and now the Do The Thing Collab Network, a platform connecting people around shared goals, community engagement, and fundraising that ties it all together.Bart and Stacey talk through her Comfort Circles framework live, using Bart's real-life event that evening in Washington DC as the case study. They unpack why most communities think people are connecting when they are not, why vulnerability in a Senate building hallway can outlast the meeting that sparked it, and why the person who needs your message does not care about your shower cap. This episode is for anyone who has been doing the thing alone and wondering why it feels so hard. What You Will Walk Away WithYou need people with the same goal, not just people who love you. Friends and family will cheer for you. But the people who are doing the same hard thing you are doing right now are the ones who will keep you from quitting. Stacey calls it Like Gold. Find your rooms.Horse mode is not failure. It is the first step. The Comfort Circles framework begins with the horse: non-verbal, not yet engaging, camera off or hanging near the bathroom at the networking event. Knowing you are in horse mode means you stay in the room. That is the whole win. Most communities are connecting at the surface. That is the problem. Showing up to events, doing the activities, checking the boxes does not mean people are actually connecting. Real engagement requires a shared goal inside the community, not just shared attendance.Stop doing it for other people. Stacey went live for 80 episodes with her camera off because she was scared of how she looked. The shift happened when she realized the person who needs your message does not care what you look like. Get your voice out. That is the whole job.Education by contribution is the secret to community. When people share their ideas out loud in a room, not just receive information, the room transforms. Stacey calls it the E in her I'm Game framework. Bart saw it live in a Senate hallway when 99 out of 100 people stayed after the panel ended because someone was finally being real.Doing the thing and having your voice in it are two different things. Stacey always did the thing: sold books door to door, co-founded a company at 25, scaled it for two decades. But she did it without her voice for most of it, doing what she thought others needed instead of what she was actually built for. That gap is where most people live. Closing it is the work.Learn more about Stacey Lauren and Do The Thing Collab Network at dothethingcollaboration.com. This episode of the Life Legacy Podcast features Liz Hartke, a leadership coach and CEO who works closely with entrepreneurs to help them align success with purpose, faith, and family. Drawing from her experience growing up in a multi-generational entrepreneurial family and now raising five children while running a company, Liz shares hard-earned lessons about the tension between building a business and being fully present at home.A central theme of the conversation is the critical difference between intention and impact. Liz explains that while many entrepreneurs start with noble intentions—such as creating freedom or a better life for their families—their daily actions often produce a different reality. She introduces the concept of a “living legacy,” emphasizing that legacy isn't something left behind in the future, but something created through everyday behaviors and presence. The conversation also dives into the role of ego in entrepreneurship, not as arrogance, but as a deep internal drive for significance, validation, and achievement. Liz explains how this can subtly pull leaders away from their true calling if left unchecked. To combat this, she shares her personal practices rooted in faith, daily recalibration, and practical tools like the “clarity matrix,” which helps filter decisions based on alignment rather than ease or financial gain.Ultimately, the episode challenges listeners to redefine success—not as external achievement, but as alignment between values, actions, and impact—while living intentionally in both business and family life.CONNECT WITH LIZ HARTKEWebsite - https://luminaryleadershipco.com/ Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/elizhartke LISTEN/WATCH/SUBSCRIBE TO THE “YOUR LIFE LEGACY PODCAST”*Apple Music - https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-life-legacy-podcast/id1740167449 *Spotify - https://open.spotify.com/show/2Cd8XFP59Ar864GcaoEDxW *YouTube Podcasts - https://www.youtube.com/@thelifelegacypodcast *Amazon Music Podcasts - https://music.amazon.com/podcasts/b1949e1f-a973-47da-b1e0-538945afa748/the-life-legacy-podcast *iHeartRadio Podcasts - https://www.iheart.com/podcast/269-the-life-legacy-podcast-165910407 CONNECT WITH “THE LIFE LEGACY PODCAST”*LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/in/jaxon-cummings-%F0%9F%92%AD%F0%9F%8E%A5-24b40a149/ *Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/lifelegacypodcast/ *TikTok - https://www.tiktok.com/@lifelegacypodcast *YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/@thelifelegacypodcast *Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61558217934317 *Threads - https://www.threads.net/@lifelegacypodcast *X - https://twitter.com/lifelegacypod *Website - https://your-life-legacy.com/ *Email for general messages - lifelegacypodcast@outlook.com *Collab with us - lifelegacypodcast@outlook.com*Sponsor Us - lifelegacypodcast@outlook.comPRODUCTION CREDITS:Recorded at Mindset Content Creation StudiosProduced by Tommy MooreBrought to you by Vodcasts by Tommy Moore Presents - https://www.instagram.com/vodcasts_by_tommymoore/

Marc Bloomenstein, OD, FAAO, chats with Brooke Messer, OD, FAAO, of Vance Thompson Vision, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Dr. Bloomenstein picks Dr. Messer's brain about what's new in the ocular technology and treatment space that's either being researched or implemented at Vance Thompson. The pair cover glaucoma, cataracts, and keratoconus, the appropriate associated management strategies, and the vision expectations for each.
On this Iron Sights episode recorded live on the vendor floor at TTPOA Conference, Scott Howell sits down for a collab with the TTPOA Podcast hosts Brandon Hernandez and Matt Smith. Their guests are Brad Ortiz, Director of Sales for the Law Enforcement Division at Silencer Shop and former officer, and Dewayne Manson, Project Manager at the American Warrior Association, to dig into the thing the Law Enforcement community has been slow to confront: the compounding weight of moral injury, and why the reactive system built to support officers is failing the people who need it most. The conversation goes deep on what moral injury actually is, how it differs from PTSD, and why the officer who has never been in a critical incident can be just as broken as the one who has. Brad and Dewayne walk through what a culturally competent clinician actually looks like, why baseline brain and blood health mapping belongs in the academy, and how the American Warrior Association's R3 program is embedding proactive resilience training directly into TTPOA's regional structure, the first partnership of its kind nationally. But this episode isn't just about mental health. It's about identity. What happens to the guy who IS the job when the job ends? Brad gets personal about his own struggles stepping away from full-time law enforcement, Dewayne shares the moment his teenage son had to pick him up after a DUI, and Scott connects it all to the broader truth that your calling and your identity are not the same thing, and that confusing the two is costing officers their health, their relationships, and sometimes their lives before and after retirement. The back half gets into the business world and how everything these men learned going through doors, managing teams, and serving their communities translates directly into relationship-based sales, leadership under pressure, and building something that outlasts the badge. If you've ever told yourself you're not capable of anything outside law enforcement, this one is going to challenge that story hard.In this episode:• Moral injury is NOT PTSD: it is the cumulative damage caused when you perpetrate something, fail to prevent something, or are ordered to act against your moral compass, and it compounds silently over an entire career without a single critical incident ever being the trigger• Culturally competent clinicians are practitioners who have lived the lifestyle or are married to someone who has: Dewayne walked out of his first VA appointment when the counselor opened with pronouns, then found a female therapist married to a 20-year infantry veteran and experienced a completely different outcome• The American Warrior Association's R3 program is building proactive resilience frameworks inside agencies, including regional resiliency coordinators, vetted clinician networks, and fully funded Warriors Refuge retreats where flights and lodging are free to eligible officers and spouses• Brad Ortiz's Sound Off program at Silencer Shop donates $2 per purchase to a vetted nonprofit fund, and every individual officer purchase routes through silencershop.com where buyers work directly with Brad and Chris• The inflection point analogy: moral injury deposits are made silently every shift, just like compounding interest, and what looks like a single critical incident blowing up is actually the hockey-stick moment on a years-long accumulation nobody was tracking• Social media pile-ons after a justified OIS caused Brad more lasting moral injury than the shooting itself, a blind spot no clinician or debrief ever addressed until he found the right cultural fit in counseling• Baseline blood panels and brain mapping done at the academy level would give officers a before-and-after reference for physiological change across a career: the greater endocrine system and brain health are being completely ignored while TRT gets all the attention• The law enforcement skill set transfers directly into business leadership: problem-solving under pressure, decision-making without perfect information, ownership of mistakes, and relationship-first sales are all things operators have already built on the job, they just don't recognize it as a resumeChapters:0:39 Iron Sights mission statement and welcome2:02 Introducing Brad Ortiz and Dewayne Manson2:49 Brad's background: The Uncommon Line podcast9:40 American Warrior Association programs overview11:43 Resilience training inside TTPOA: the first of its kind12:08 What moral injury actually is and why it's not PTSD14:20 Culturally competent clinicians: Dewayne's personal story31:52 Compounding critical incidents over a career38:37 Social media pile-ons as a hidden source of moral injury44:55 Identity vs. calling: challenging how officers define themselves1:12:18 Relationship-first sales, legacy brands losing ground, and the business parallel1:21:46 How to access AWA, R3, and SoundOff resourcesMentioned:Brad Ortiz — Director of Sales for the Law Enforcement Division at Silencer Shop, former law enforcement officer and fugitive investigator, and former host of The Uncommon Line podcast, joined as a guest to discuss the SoundOff program and the AWA partnership.Dewayne Manson — Representative of the American Warrior Association, infantry veteran who served in Afghanistan and contracted there through 2020, shared his personal journey through moral injury and recovery as context for AWA's R3 program.Matt Smith — Co-host of the TTPOA podcast with 21 years on SWAT, co-hosted this live conference episode alongside Scott Howell and competed in the TTPOA shooting competition the day prior.Brandon Hernandez — Region 7 Director and Director of Training for TTPOA, co-host of the TTPOA podcast, referred to on air as the celebrity of the group when a passerby stopped to greet him.Anna Heil — Associated with the American Warrior Association, attended a TTPOA show in St. Louis and briefed other state organizations on the AWA partnership afterward.Chris — Works alongside Brad Ortiz at Silencer Shop on the SoundOff individual officer program, mentioned as a direct point of contact buyers will reach at soundsoftshop.com.Neil Noakes — Former Chief of Police of the Fort Worth Police Department, cited as an example of a career officer who, when asked how many critical incidents he had been on, simply said he had lost count.Simon Sinek — Author and speaker known for the concept of finding your 'why,' referenced when Brad Ortiz challenged every officer in the room to examine the deeper reason behind their career and identity.
Host Jaxon Cummings sits down with entrepreneur Justin Prince — a serial founder credited with $2.6B+ in career sales, co-founder of the peptide/wellness brand Make Wellness (over $100M in its first 11 months), husband of 23+ years, and father — for a wide-ranging conversation about building a successful life without sacrificing faith and family.Justin opens by distinguishing "push" motivation (paying bills, proving people wrong) from "pull" motivation (mission, legacy, dreams), and shares the raw story of being financially broke at 27 — living with his pregnant wife and kids in his in-laws' garage loft — and making two promises to God during an emotional breakdown on I-15: to never forget what struggling feels like, and to help others achieve their dreams if he ever found success. From there the conversation moves through his marriage (crediting his wife Missy as "the rock" of the family and unpacking Stephen Covey's dependent → independent → interdependent framework), dating and relationship advice for young people, and the power of the questions we ask ourselves (habits, private integrity, faith, and career direction via his "ILI formula" — Income, Lifestyle, Impact). The back half dives into business resilience: his "dream, struggle, victory" framework, the metaphor of two deer locked antlers to explain why people get stuck re-living their struggle instead of owning their victory, and the gut-wrenching story of being abruptly terminated (and sued) by the private-equity-controlled company he'd helped grow to $2.5B in revenue — informing his kids from a hotel room the same week they were supposed to go on a family cruise. He describes the smear campaign that followed, the legal gag order that kept him silent, and how a year later he launched Make Wellness — which crossed $100M in year one, while the company that fired him filed for bankruptcy. The episode closes on faith as an anchor, "winning both races" (worldly success and family/faith), a Tom Brady story about revenge vs. legacy as fuel, and Justin's answer to what he'd want to tell everyone he loves if it were his last conversation with them: "go be the one you were born to be."chasing wealth or status.CONNECT WITH JUSTIN PRINCEWebsite - https://iamjustinprince.com/ LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/in/justinkprince/ Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/iamjustinprince/ YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqfaL8RQYADAWng87Kq7BJQ X - https://x.com/justinkprince LISTEN/WATCH/SUBSCRIBE TO THE “YOUR LIFE LEGACY PODCAST”*Apple Music - https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-life-legacy-podcast/id1740167449 *Spotify - https://open.spotify.com/show/2Cd8XFP59Ar864GcaoEDxW *YouTube Podcasts - https://www.youtube.com/@thelifelegacypodcast *Amazon Music Podcasts - https://music.amazon.com/podcasts/b1949e1f-a973-47da-b1e0-538945afa748/the-life-legacy-podcast *iHeartRadio Podcasts - https://www.iheart.com/podcast/269-the-life-legacy-podcast-165910407 CONNECT WITH “THE LIFE LEGACY PODCAST”*LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/in/jaxon-cummings-%F0%9F%92%AD%F0%9F%8E%A5-24b40a149/ *Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/lifelegacypodcast/ *TikTok - https://www.tiktok.com/@lifelegacypodcast *YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/@thelifelegacypodcast *Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61558217934317 *Threads - https://www.threads.net/@lifelegacypodcast *X - https://twitter.com/lifelegacypod *Website - https://your-life-legacy.com/ *Email for general messages - lifelegacypodcast@outlook.com *Collab with us - lifelegacypodcast@outlook.com*Sponsor Us - lifelegacypodcast@outlook.comPRODUCTION CREDITS:Recorded at Mindset Content Creation StudiosProduced by Tommy MooreBrought to you by Vodcasts by Tommy Moore Presents - https://www.instagram.com/vodcasts_by_tommymoore/HASHTAGS#TheLifeLegacyPodcast #jaxoncummings #tommymoorepresents #personaldocumentaries
The E in elections stands for evil. Join the HITO boys as they recount the weekend's happenings, including Jim Clyburn blaming black voters for the 2024 election loss, Updates on the Michigan Primary, and what's going on with Mamdani and Iran. With the Michigan Senate Primary reaching its final days, the Democratic establishment is desperate to spend all of its political capital on supporting Haley Stevens. $60 million dollars of outside spending has flooded into this race to support Haley Stevens, and Stevens has benefited from AIPAC's largest single race investment in history. It's the many vs the money, and Abdul needs all the help he can get to fight this historic spend against him. From his early roots learning the emotional language of music in a Wichita church to shaping the sonic texture of an entire era, Morgan's vulnerability and innovative genius defined the soundtrack of the 1990s. In a masterclass of music history, he sits down with the crew to trace a brilliant lineage of vocal royalty, revealing how a lifelong passion for sonics and direct-to-consumer artistry keeps him entirely locked into the future of music. Listeners will get an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at the serendipitous moments that birthed some of the culture's most iconic records. Morgan unpacks the "vocal royalty" chain reaction that shaped his career that began with his childhood admiration for Martha Wash, and unexpectedly bridged into collaborations with Layla Hathaway, Brandy, and ultimately, SWV. He shares the untold history of "Weak," including how member Coco initially hated the song so much she hid in a bathroom, and clears up decades of internet rumors regarding the poetic, metaphorical inspiration behind the timeless masterpiece "Rain." Beyond the 90s nostalgia, Morgan reflects on the evolution of the music industry and discusses his unwavering success in a fragmented market. He lays out his receipts, detailing his contributions to modern hits by artists like Drake, Khalid, and Nas, while showcasing his unique ability to flip classic breakbeats with new tools like Ableton and Splice. Seamlessly blending his rich past with upcoming ventures, including his new project BREW (Bams Rare Exclusive Unreleased) and his work with rising star Nefertiti Avani, Morgan proves why his catalog continues to be sampled, covered, and revered across generations. The boys doom about the prophesied Michigan Senate primary with two weeks left in the critical race! Obama has refused to condemn the AIPAC ad using his words from 2018 to deceive voters into supporting Haley Stevens. Jake Tapper attacked Abdul El-Sayed during an interview, comparing him to Trump, saying he was too mean to Stevens, and trying to sow discord between him and Mamdani. Michigan isn't the only race where money is backing moderate Democrats bigly; Minnesota – another M state – sees Angie Craig getting 12 million dollars in outside spending to defeat her more progressive challenger Peggy Flanagan.
