Christ is Enough 03_23_2025 by New Beginnings Church
Rev Ashley Graham
This section closes the second chapter of Colossians in which the emphasis was on danger. Paul defended the preeminence of Jesus Christ, and he refuted the false doctrines of legalism, mysticism, and asceticism. It now remains for us to believe what he wrote and practice these spiritual principles. The answer to legalism is the spiritual reality we have in Christ. The answer to mysticism is the spiritual union with Christ, the Head of the church. The answer to asceticism is our position in Christ in death, burial, and resurrection. We put all of this into daily practice as we fellowship with Christ through worship, the Word, and prayer. As we yield to the indwelling Spirit, we receive the power we need for daily living. It is in our fellowship with other believers that we contribute spiritually to the growth of the body, the church, and the other members of the body contribute to us. What a wonderful way to live! Is Christ preeminent in your life? Are you drawing on His spiritual power, or depending on some man-made “religious” substitute?[1] "Man's way of safeguard is by placing various restraints and negations of evil … God's way is by 'stripping off the body of the flesh' through death and resurrection with Christ, giving us a new life, a new nature, and a continual flow of nourishment for that new life direct from the Risen Head in Heaven." Mark 8:36 "For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. Have you trusted Him as your Savior? He can Save you if You ask Him based on His death, burial, and resurrection for your sins. Believe in Him for forgiveness of your sins today. “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” -John 8:32 Our mission is to spread the gospel and to go to the least of these with the life-changing message of Jesus Christ; We reach out to those the World has forgotten. hisloveministries.podbean.com #HLMSocial hisloveministries.net https://www.instagram.com/hisloveministries1/?hl=en His Love Ministries on Itunes Don't go for all the gusto you can get, go for all the God (Jesus Christ) you can get. Today on Uncommon Sense with Ginny Robinson, we're discussing Kanye West's latest internet meltdown and what it reveals about the state of our unfortunate over-sexualized and depraved culture. From celebrity chaos to societal decay, it's clear—without God, the world spirals into total confusion and sin. We're breaking down the bigger picture and talking about why it's time to turn away from worldliness/wickedness and the dysfunction of degeneracy and back to the truth and love of Christ. Jesus is the only sane way forward, ladies and gentlemen.--https://www.thebrandsunday.com/products/the-bible-study-copy?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=tbs_thebiblestudy_searchads-nixwdmd&tw_source=google&tw_adid=608801073541&tw_campaign=17672311083&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAC-_2dRN1WU6lhTaWFNApFgzBkVe_&gclid=CjwKCAiAwaG9BhAREiwAdhv6Y_Xc6w4LM7_4otTu1-XgzYjKKwhwbNBCdqLFVTDdXToND7Rt6JU2hBoC3hsQAvD_BwE

“The Cross of Christ Is Enough” • 1st Corinthians 1:17-24 Part 2 – Elder Bryce Lowrance In the confusion of this message, we return to Isaiah Chapter 29 and learn that looking for confidence in ourselves or in things of the world will always disappoint us. And so it is with our salvation. If we trust in the work of Christ and our faith, we will be ashamed. However, if we trust in Christ alone, we will find that the simple gospel is true – The cross of Christ is enough! This message was preached on Sunday, November 7, 2022.

This is message 4 in the 2 Corinthians series 2 Corinthians 3:1-5 Paul emphasizes that true effectiveness in ministry and spiritual life comes not from human qualifications or efforts but from God alone. He highlights the importance of abiding in Christ, as we are powerless without Him. God, as the divine Husbandman, prunes us to make us more fruitful, and our role is to remain connected to Christ, relying on His strength to accomplish His work. Without Christ, we can do nothing, but with Him, our sufficiency is assured. "The Cross of Christ Is Enough" • 1st Corinthians 1:17-24 – Elder Bryce Lowrance The Church of God at Corinth was established on a very strong foundation of Biblical teaching by the Apostle Paul. They understood that the finished work of Jesus Christ was sufficient for their eternal salvation and that the simple message of that in the gospel was enough to give them hope of eternal life. However, after the Apostle leaves, the old tendencies and traditions of men crept their way back into their thinking. They had developed cliques and false doctrines that taught adherence to the law or men's philosophies were also needed in addition to the cross of Christ. Paul sets the record straight – The Cross is enough! This message was preached on Sunday, November 7, 2022.

Colossians 2:16-23 preached by Pastor Mark Young on 3/13/24.
“Blessed Assurance Jesus Is Mine” and “It is Well With My Soul” are just a couple of hymns regarding the assurance we as Christians should have. But if we are honest, we don't always feel that sweet assurance. I think some Christians struggle with assurance more than they want to admit. The book of Hebrews tells us how what Christ did was indeed enough to provide us assurance and provide us peace here on Earth. It is through clinging to Christ that we can truly draw near with boldness to the throne of Grace. Join us on Sunday as we battle our doubt and wavering assurance together and cling fast to our beloved Christ.

This is a rerun from July 2022! Ginger DeVries is back on the podcast this week with a good chat about how God is enough and He is our portion. Without God, we are not enough but with God, He is enough and so we are enough because God now lives in us and He can do anything. Here are some scriptures Ginger shared, and I pray they encourage you! But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. 2 CORINTHIANS 12:9 NIV You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. 1 JOHN 4:4 NIV For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. JOHN 3:16 NIV For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. ROMANS 6:23 NIV for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, ROMANS 3:23 NIV For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:10 NIV These scriptures remind me how we need Jesus and how broken we are. This conversation was a deep, rich conversation for me and my walk with God, reminding me how I need Him. We pray this episode is an encouragement to you to have a relationship with Jesus or a deeper relationship with Jesus if you are already saved! We can run to Him no matter where we are. We can seek Him with our whole hearts and we can change our ways to commit our actions to Him if we are willing and want to be obedient! I learned so much from what God is doing in Ginger! Thank you Ginger for your time and for sharing what God has on your heart!
