Imagine clearing immigration with a valid visa, while someone insists you need certificates the country never asked for. That's what false teaching does to believers — adding fear-driven requirements to a salvation that's already complete. In this message from Colossians 2, we expose the enemy's oldest trick of deception through persuasive words, philosophy, tradition and man-made rules, and rediscover who you are in Christ: forgiven, free from condemnation, with every accusation nailed to the cross and every principality disarmed. Stop chasing add-ons. Get rooted, stand your ground, and join the victory parade — because Christ is enough.

“Therefore, holy brothers and sisters, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession: Jesus; He was faithful to Him who appointed Him, as Moses also was in all His house. For He has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, by just so much as the builder of the house has more honor than the house. For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God. Now Moses was faithful in all God's house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken later; but Christ was faithful as a Son over His house—whose house we are, if we hold firmly to our confidence and the boast of our hope. Therefore, just as the Holy Spirit says, “Today if you hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts as when they provoked Me, As on the day of trial in the wilderness, Where your fathers put Me to the test, And saw My works for forty years. Therefore I was angry with this generation, And said, ‘They always go astray in their heart, And they did not know My ways'; As I swore in My anger, ‘They certainly shall not enter My rest.'” Take care, brothers and sisters, that there will not be in any one of you an evil, unbelieving heart that falls away from the living God. But encourage one another every day, as long as it is still called “today,” so that none of you will be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. For we have become partakers of Christ if we keep the beginning of our commitment firm until the end, while it is said, “Today if you hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts, as when they provoked Me.” For who provoked Him when they had heard? Indeed, did not all those who came out of Egypt led by Moses? And with whom was He angry for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose dead bodies fell in the wilderness? And to whom did He swear that they would not enter His rest, but to those who were disobedient? Do not be idolaters, as some of them were; as it is written: “The people sat down to eat and to drink, and rose up to play.” Nor are we to commit sexual immorality, as some of them did, and twenty-three thousand fell in one day. It is often tempting to believe that if only we could see God—hear His voice, witness a miracle, or have a great experience of His presence—our faith would be stronger. But in John 14:7–11, Jesus tells Philip something astonishing: "Whoever has seen Me has seen the Father." In Christ, the invisible God has made Himself visible, not through spectacle, but through a Person. The glory Moses longed to see now shines fully in the face of Jesus. This passage reminds us that real faith isn't built on dramatic experiences, but on knowing and trusting the One who perfectly reveals the Father's heart—our Lord Jesus Christ.

“Blessed Assurance Jesus Is Mine” and “It is Well With My Soul” are just a couple of hymns regarding the assurance we as Christians should have. But if we are honest, we don't always feel that sweet assurance. I think some Christians struggle with assurance more than they want to admit. The book of Hebrews tells us how what Christ did was indeed enough to provide us assurance and provide us peace here on Earth. It is through clinging to Christ that we can truly draw near with boldness to the throne of Grace. This is a rerun from July 2022! Ginger DeVries is back on the podcast this week with a good chat about how God is enough and He is our portion. Without God, we are not enough but with God, He is enough and so we are enough because God now lives in us and He can do anything. Here are some scriptures Ginger shared, and I pray they encourage you! But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. 2 CORINTHIANS 12:9 NIV You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. 1 JOHN 4:4 NIV For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. JOHN 3:16 NIV For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. ROMANS 6:23 NIV for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, ROMANS 3:23 NIV For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:10 NIV These scriptures remind me how we need Jesus and how broken we are. This conversation was a deep, rich conversation for me and my walk with God, reminding me how I need Him. We pray this episode is an encouragement to you to have a relationship with Jesus or a deeper relationship with Jesus if you are already saved! We can run to Him no matter where we are. We can seek Him with our whole hearts and we can change our ways to commit our actions to Him if we are willing and want to be obedient! I learned so much from what God is doing in Ginger! Thank you Ginger for your time and for sharing what God has on your heart!
