Queen Nzinga of Ndongo and Matamba is one of the most formidable rulers in African history, and in this episode of Queens Podcast, Katy and Nathan dive into her extraordinary life. In this episode, we explore Nzinga's early life, her tense relationship with her brother, and the political chaos that followed his rule. We also get into her legendary 1622 meeting with the Portuguese governor, where she turned a calculated insult into one of the most iconic power moves in royal history. From there, Nzinga built alliances, commanded armies, and spent decades resisting Portuguese control. We also discuss the more complicated parts of her legacy, including religion, diplomacy, warfare, and the ways European writers tried to shape her story for their own purposes. If you love stories about powerful queens, African history, women rulers, and anti-colonial resistance, this episode is for you. In this co-hosted episode, Travis is joined in studio by his producer Eric for a rapid-fire breakdown of famous pastors' and Christian leaders' quotes about money, generosity, and prosperity. Together, they react in real time, call out bad theology, laugh their way through some wild one-liners, and use the conversation to unpack how faith, finances, and common sense should actually intersect in real life. On this episode we talk about: Why “money is a bad master, good servant” still holds up—and where “steward it for eternity” loses people How misquoting “money is the root of all evil” has damaged a healthy view of building wealth Prosperity gospel red flags, from “Jesus as genie” teaching to sow-a-seed televangelist gimmicks The danger of paraphrased or AI-mashed “quotes” online and why fact-checking matters Why you don't have to choose between being wealthy and having meaningful relationships Top 3 Takeaways A healthy money mindset sees money as a tool and servant, not a master; it's neutral until you assign it purpose. Prosperity teaching that turns God into a vending machine—“give to get rich”—is manipulative and spiritually and financially harmful. Misquotes and bad theology around money (“money is the root of all evil”) keep people broke and confused, so you need to fact-check sources and own your personal philosophy about wealth. Notable Quotes “Money is a bad master, good servant.” “You're not going to get any richer by touching a screen—or praying a prayer.” “Money only solves your money problems, but it's easier to solve the rest of your problems with money in the bank.” Connect with Travis Chappell: LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/travischappell Twitter/X: https://twitter.com/travischappell Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/travischappell Other: https://travischappell.com Travis Makes Money is made possible by High Level – the All-In-One Sales & Marketing Platform built for agencies, by an agency. Is the FACE Act being enforced as Congress originally intended or has its selected application raised serious concerns about fairness, constitutional limits, and the protection of pro-life Americans? The FACE Act has returned to the national spotlight following charges against former CNN anchor Don Lemon for interfering with the religious exercise of worshippers at a Minnesota church last month. Enacted in 1994, the law was intended to protect access to both reproductive health facilities and houses of worship by imposing criminal and civil penalties on those who intimidate, injure, or obstruct individuals seeking to enter them.In recent years, however, questions have been raised about whether the statute has been enforced evenhandedly. The law has been used repeatedly to prosecute pro-life activists, while many pro-life pregnancy resource centers and churches that have faced vandalism, threats, and even firebombings have seen comparatively limited federal response. These concerns have fueled growing calls in Congress to repeal or reform the statute.Join us for a timely discussion as a panel of experts examines the FACE Act’s statutory framework, its recent enforcement, and the constitutional and policy questions surrounding its future.Featuring:Matthew Cavedon, Director, Project on Criminal Justice, Cato InstituteJeremy Dys, Senior Counsel, First LibertyErin Hawley, Supreme Court & Appellate Litigation Chair, Lex Politica; Of Counsel, Alliance Defending Freedom(Moderator) Casey Mattox, Vice President, Legal Strategy, Stand Together; Vice President, Legal and Judicial Strategy, Americans for Prosperity

Will the grassroots efforts work over the social issue and identity politics focus of the left?
Ep. 225 (Part 2 of 2) | In Part 2 of our eloquent, passionate, and humorous, dialogue with comedian John Fugelsang, author of the important and irreverent book, Separation of Church and Hate: A Sane Person's Guide to Taking Back the Bible from Fundamentalists, Fascists, and Flock-Fleecing Frauds, we come to understand what fundamentalism is, and what it signifies for our culture, our politics, and our future. John outlines five common features that characterize fundamentalism across religious traditions, pointing out that fundamentalist Christians have more in common with fundamentalist Muslims than they do with moderate and liberal Christians. “I go after fundamentalists of all religions,” John says, “because it's turning people off to faith—ruining Christianity, ruining Islam, ruining Judaism.” This is the tragedy for John and what fuels his passion for calling out the hypocrites who do hateful things in the name of religion.John also enlightens us as to what Christian nationalism is all about, starting way back: “In the U.S., our history of Christianity is inseparable from our history of white supremacy.” Christian nationalism's religion is power—a gospel of domination over love. Authoritarian leaders and their followers all worship power, he continues, and fills us in on how Christian nationalism is playing out in Russia now. John's own message is not hateful; his intention is to make it clear that Jesus always taught love and kindness; to suggest that if the Church wants to survive, it needs to go back to the teachings of Jesus; and to help us come together in a common understanding of fundamental values. “It's hard to love the bigot in your family,” John says. But we can “…hold to the deepest values, the most love, and do what needs to be done with love. We can't hate the haters back, but we have to beat them without hating them—that's the challenge.” Recorded December 18, 2025.“The greatest tragedy to me is when people think that something is religion and don't realize it's just fundamentalism.”Topics & Time Stamps – Part 2Fundamentalist Christians have more in common with fundamentalist Muslims than they do with moderate & liberal Christians (00:39) 5 common features of fundamentalism across traditions: women are inferior, violence is okay, punishment over healing & a victimhood complex (00:51)MLK was deeply unpopular at the time of his death—just like Jesus (03:43)Every generation there's a new word to smear the virtues of love, empathy & caring for others (05:01)Christian nationalism: a gospel of domination over love (07:59)Prosperity gospel: God will reward you if you give to our Church (09:50)Christian nationalism in Russia (13:47)Authoritarian leaders & followers all worship power (15:34)If the Church wants to survive, they need to go back to the teachings of Jesus (17:28)Recreating Jesus as a white guy led to centuries of racism and cruelty (19:55)Using the Bible as camouflage: most people haven't read it & figure others haven't either (21:06)What weirdness in the Bible stands out most for John? Today, it is my pleasure to speak with Brad Fisher, founder and Managing Partner of The Scalable Leadership Group, a firm that works with Growth Stage Company leaders to streamline their operations and accelerate their progress. Brad works with business leaders who want to unlock the long-term potential of their companies and their families. He speaks and writes about scalability, leadership, and family business matters. He recently published a book called Family Business Abundance. Brad has devoted most of his career to entrepreneurship in the business-to-business, technology, healthcare, manufacturing, family business, and private equity investment arenas. He has built, acquired, and consulted with companies across a wide range of industries. Brad is a former council member of FOX, and former member of the FOX Advisory Board, and a true friend and frequent collaborator of the FOX team and our broader community. Brad has dedicated much of his advisory work to the pursuit of scalability and helping businesses and families achieve their full potential. He talks about what scalability means, especially in the context of a family enterprise or a family office, and what are the accelerators and impediments to achieving scalability. Brad has formulated the concept of "the second leap". He offers a definition of this concept for our audience and describes its significance in the growth and scalability journey of businesses, families, and family offices. One practical tool Brad has developed is the "Six Scalabilities" framework. He describes the framework and its components, and shares his tips on how family businesses, family leaders, and family offices can use it to engineer their growth and evolution. An important and practical metric Brad talks about is the "Leadership Leverage Ratio". He elaborates on how this KPI is defined and measured, and how leaders in the family or the family office can use it to advance the scalability of their organizations. Do not miss this engaging conversation with a widely recognized long-time practitioner, thought leader, and advisor in the family office and family business space.

Send a textWhat if the sweet taste you chase is the very thing turning to poison inside you? We pull on a hard thread through Job's fierce metaphors and today's habits—alcohol, gluttony, vaping, and the quiet pride that renames greed as ambition—and reveal how pleasure becomes master, then jailer. Lisa's story cuts through theory: the nights that felt like a blast until they didn't, the moment excess stood over a breaking marriage, and the sober truth that “it gets you” long before you admit it's there. We go deeper than warnings. Confession becomes the hinge of hope—quick, full, open. Not performance, not penance, but the courage to name the deed, mark the dates, and invite scrutiny that loves you enough to say no before the relapse. We talk about why secrecy festers, why people defend their chains as virtues, and how the language of grace grows faint when isolation takes hold. Then we tackle wealth with Job's unsparing image: swallowing riches only to vomit them back out. Prosperity without righteousness cannot hold; sooner or later God casts out what was taken or treasured without truth.Through questions about whether the wicked “know their end,” we map will and nature with Romans 1 in view: apart from new birth, people answer to what they are. That's why we keep telling the truth with urgency and tenderness. Christian liberty is not a license; it's power to recognize sin, resist it with the Word, and rest in Christ who breaks the clasp of bondage. If you're tired of calling poison sweet, this conversation offers clarity, courage, and a path back to life.If this spoke to you, follow the show, share it with someone who needs hope today, and leave a review to help others find it.RISE RADIOEach week we discuss some of the most important issues we face in our society today.Listen on: Apple Podcasts SpotifySupport the showBE PROVOKED AND BE PERSUADED!
Send a textEver been told there are two separate judgment seats—one for the wicked and a safer one for the righteous? We challenge that comfortable split and unpack Paul's insistence that we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ. From there, we map a clearer path through a topic that often breeds fear: believers are not re-tried for salvation, but our works are weighed for reward. That means no condemnation, yet real accountability, and a richer vision of grace where crowns reflect Christ's life in us and become gifts we gladly lay down.We also slow down to ask what “the day” actually means. Not a rolling verdict on your week, but the Day of the Lord when Jesus returns and reveals what was built on gold and what was built on stubble. Along the way, we confront the idea of “degrees”—of reward and of torment—without turning eternity into a scoreboard. Think of the thief on the cross: almost no time to produce fruit, yet welcomed into paradise. If that is the mercy at the edge, imagine the generosity of God toward a lifetime of imperfect but faithful obedience, where perfect joy is full for everyone and still honors real faithfulness.Midway, we caution against a study habit that derails many good intentions: cross-referencing so fast that context can't breathe. We share a practical method—understand the passage on its own terms, then connect the dots—and explain why Revelation so often becomes a maze. Finally, we return to Job 20 to expose the thin logic of Zophar's charge that suffering proves guilt. Prosperity is not proof of righteousness, and history's empires—including our own—have often swollen by exploiting the poor. Scripture answers with a sobering image: the wicked swallow riches, and God makes them give them back. Divine justice is not arbitrary; it is exact. If this conversation clarified your view of judgment, reward, and hope, follow the show, share it with a friend who loves tough texts, and leave a review telling us what “the Day” calls you to build.RISE RADIOEach week we discuss some of the most important issues we face in our society today.Listen on: Apple Podcasts SpotifySupport the showBE PROVOKED AND BE PERSUADED!

One of the questions I receive most often is how I navigate motherhood while running a successful business that supports my family and serves thousands of people.Today's Prosperity Pep Talk is a raw and honest reflection on the deeper intention behind how I built my business in the first place.I didn't want a life where my work required me to be absent from the sacred moments of motherhood. I wanted to create a business that could hold both: devotion to my work and devotion to my children. In this transmission, I share the philosophy that has shaped my approach to entrepreneurship and motherhood, including why I believe the digital age offers an unprecedented opportunity for mothers to design businesses that honor their values, rhythms, and priorities. This conversation is also an invitation to reflect on your own path. What would it look like if your work didn't pull you away from your life… but actually supported the life you most want to live? What if your business could be structured intentionally around your deepest priorities? And what if prosperity wasn't just about income, but about sovereignty over how you spend your time and energy? If you're navigating business, motherhood, or simply trying to design a life that feels aligned with your soul, this transmission is for you.✨ Inside this episode:• The deeper intention behind how I structured my business• Why flexibility and digital offerings matter for mothers• How entrepreneurship can support presence rather than sacrifice• The difference between building a business reactively vs intentionally• Reflections on motherhood, purpose, and sovereigntyIf this conversation resonates, I invite you to join us inside The Hearth, my private community for sacred leaders, healers, and coaches who are building businesses as devotional offerings.Inside The Hearth you'll receive mentorship, teachings, and community to support you in weaving your gifts into sustainable prosperity.

For decades, climate alarmists have used fear to convince and coerce people into submission regarding business operations and lifestyle choices. Years ago, we were bombarded with messages on global freezing and fear propaganda filled the media – until data showed otherwise. Then messaging switched to proclaim the threat of global warming. Repeated threats of worldwide deaths convinced the public to abide by choice-limiting regulations that altered lifestyles until once again - data showed otherwise. Now it is all just referred to as "climate change" – which somehow gives excuse to limit freedom, geoengineer weather, and regulate every aspect of life under global control. In this episode, Linda interviews Marc Morano, veteran journalist from ClimateDepot.com. They discuss climate treaties, energy production, presidential executive orders, and logical outcomes of various climate related policies. Marc also provided an update on the recent World Economic Forum meeting and the change in narrative by global leaders regarding climate. Listen today to learn how you can protect the climate – and your freedom. ©Copyright 2026, Prosperity 101, LLC __________________________________________________________ For information about our online course and other resources visit: https://prosperity101.com To order a copy of Prosperity 101 – Job Security Through Business Prosperity® by Linda J. Jay Steinfeld is the Founder and former CEO of Blinds.com, the world's largest online retailer of window coverings, which was acquired by The Home Depot in 2014. Under his leadership, Blinds.com grew from a bootstrapped startup in his home to a billion-dollar enterprise, earning a reputation for innovation in ecommerce and technology-driven growth. Jay is also a Wall Street Journal best-selling author of Lead from the Core: The 4 Principles for Profit and Prosperity and the Entrepreneur in Residence at Rice University's Graduate School of Business, where he shares business insights. In this episode… Scaling your ecommerce business doesn't always require more ad spend or tighter funnels — it can come from forming the right strategic partnerships. Rather than battling industry giants for market share, there's an opportunity to grow by leveraging their reach and infrastructure. How can you turn major players into powerful growth engines for your brand? Jay Steinfeld's answer is the Big Brother Little Brother strategy, a partnership model where a smaller company integrates with a larger one to accelerate growth. As a seasoned ecommerce founder and technology-driven operator, he explains how building product-agnostic software creates leverage far beyond a single category. By making integration seamless and delivering unique value that larger companies lacked, he reduced customer acquisition costs and unlocked rapid distribution. He also emphasizes creating "stickiness" through private-label strategies and focusing on asymmetric risk — low downside, massive upside. The key takeaway: identify what only you can offer and make it irresistible for larger partners to say yes. In this episode of Minds of Ecommerce, Raphael Paulin-Daigle chats with Jay Steinfeld, Founder and former CEO of Blinds.com, about the Big Brother Little Brother growth strategy. They delve into the brand's 90-day Sears integration, expanding partnerships to Wayfair and The Home Depot, and the risks of empowering competitors while creating long-term "stickiness."
There is a book that has shaped the thinking of leaders, strategists, and visionaries for decades. Robert Greene's The 48 Laws of Power is often misunderstood as a manual for manipulation. People read it and think it is about controlling others, about scheming and plotting your way to the top of some external hierarchy. And yes, on the surface, that is one way to read it. But there is a deeper layer here, a layer that most people miss entirely, and that deeper layer is about the physics of consciousness itself. Every single one of these forty-eight laws maps directly onto a principle of reality creation. Every one of them describes a mechanism by which consciousness shapes, bends, and redirects the flow of experience. When you understand power not as something you exert over other people but as something you exert over the field of probability, over the quantum soup of potential realities that surround you at every moment, then these laws become something far more profound than social strategy. They become a manual for operating reality itself. So as you listen to this, allow the teaching to land on multiple levels. Let the strategic mind absorb what it needs. Let the deeper awareness recognize the patterns of creation that have always been operating in your life. And let the highest version of yourself, the one who already commands reality with effortless authority, step forward and claim every principle as something it has always known. Because that is the truth. You already know all of this. You have simply been waiting for someone to articulate it in this particular way, at this particular moment, so that the recognition could spark inside you and light up every timeline that branches forward from this exact point.

Did you know the Bible has more scriptures about finances than about heaven and hell? Faith in the area of finances is the least use of our faith (Luke 16:10). If we can't trust God with our money, how can we expect to be able to trust Him with greater things? Join Andrew in this series of Charis chapel hours and discover how exercising your faith in the “least” can unlock faith for that which is greater.

Mary Beth shares her self-limiting belief about using her retirement savings to fund three long-held dreams: writing a book, launching an invention, and stepping fully into spiritual healing. Julie guides her through refining the question in oneness, releasing ego urgency, and understanding that multiple dreams can coexist. You will learn how Spirit works in seasons, how to place visions into “time columns,” and why you do not have to choose just one path to move forward. This episode is a powerful reminder that fear of money often masks fear of time, overworking, and getting it wrong. Your higher self already knows the path. You only have to walk it one day at a time.
