Our guest this week is Anthony Johnson. Born and raised in Germany, Anthony is the proud product of a U.S. military family. He moved to the United States to attend college. Anthony now works at Siemens in their Global Strategy and Marketing division, but he has always had a passion for public service. He currently advises Cincinnati Council Member Kearney's office on all matters of public policy and legislative affairs. Anthony also serves as a strategic consultant to the U.S. Department of Defense, as Co-Director of New Leaders Council Southwest Ohio, and as Vice Chair of University of Cincinnati Young Professionals (UCYP). Anthony holds degrees in Political Science, International Affairs, and Security Studies from University of Cincinnati and The London School of Economics (LSE). This week, we discuss the BLM movement and how our government is addressing and effecting real change in our city and around the country, as well as insight into living as a person of color in America and how, from Anthony's experiences, other developed nations have approached equality and social justice compared to The United States.
