We MUST bear fruit. It is not optional. What is bearing fruit? It is a form of spiritual capitalism. We must take individual responsibility to produce spiritual reward in the name of Jesus. This means praying, fasting, giving, opposing wickedness, declaring the name of Jesus and other activities.

Your "treasure" is the place you store your excess. It is where you put your extra little bits away toward the hope of your future. Your "treasure" is also the hope of your security in case of emergencies.How do you build up heavenly treasure instead of fleshly treasure? I'll give you three guesses, but if you've been listening to the rest of the episodes, you already know...

Let me ask you a question.Kyle confessed to me that he's been wondering the same then you've probably been wondering, "Chris, are you saying we are saved by works?!"It is a critical question and here's the short answer; "We are saved by grace and rewarded by Faith Works. We are neither rewarded nor saved by the Works of the Law."

What do Oreo Smoothies, Glass Roosters, Nunu-Spinning Babies, and Luke 17:5-10 all have in common? We were somehow able to discuss all of these critical topics in under one hour!In Luke 17:5-10, Jesus tells a parable about a servant who comes in from the field after a long day of working in the field or tending the sheep. The master of the house is then "very rude" to this poor pitiful servant! How can the master of this servant be so rude as to not even thank the servant?! Simple, because the servant only did what was expected of him.You can't gain spiritual profit by doing the bare minimum. God lays certain ground rules which He expects everyone to adhere to because it is RIGHT to do so. However, He also gives us access to greater spiritual gifts and blessings.How do you acquire such gifts and blessings? There are those who assert that we "already possess these gifts." If this is true, then how do you explain the amount of labor that great saints throughout the ages have put forth in prayer, fasting, and good works who tends to have miraculous occurrences following them everywhere. Also, how do you explain the majority of Christians who do NOT see powerful miraculous works surrounding their lives? I believe that we have the right to ACQUIRE these gifts, but if we sow sparingly, we reap sparingly. Join us for the only time you've ever heard anyone teach on this parable Luke 17:5-10 in a way that actually makes sense.

Jesus said that we should "store up treasure in heaven."Chew on this; Jesus just told you to, "make spiritual bank!" Is that selfish or self-centered? No. It is obedience.
