We discuss the things that everyone loves, True Crime, Coffee and of course Dumpster Fires
This episode was tough to record for some reason. With technical difficulties and just the particularly horrific nature of this crime.... If sexual assault is particularly triggering for you just skip this episode.. I won't be offended. This was the case of the Gainesville Ripper. In August of 1990 there was a serial killer picking off college girls in a college town. Right as the school year was getting under way at University of Florida, a serial killer was brutally raping and murdering young college girls. This is the story of the Gainesville Ripper, Danny Rolling and the panic he caused during a roughly 2 week time frame that August.
Thanks everyone for patiently awaiting new content!!! Forgive the occasional hack and cough (I edited a good chunk of them out. Not sure I got ALL of them.. ) Anyone who has been in a long term relationship knows the tribulations that occur when you get together with your partner and attempt to assemble simple furniture. Well, David Tronnes and his bride Shanti Cooper took it to the next level and attempted an entire home renovation project, and as you can guess the project ended with Shanti dead and David awaiting trial on murder charges. Tune in this week to hear the story of a home renovation gone horribly wrong.
Im baaaaaaack.... This week I discuss the murder of Brooke Buchler. Brooke was the all American Girl from Slidell LA. She was a cheerleader she was popular she had her whole life ahead of her. Thanks to a poor choice on a dating up one man ended up severely beaten and stabbed, and she ended up dead. Podchaser verification SiLsyEWeQjx2rzqu1PDi
This is a bonus episode. I don't really want to do 'Paranormal' stuff on here and risk diluting my true crime stuff. However I wanted to see what you all thought about this stuff and if it would be worth putting behind a paywall like patreon.. COmment Subscribe etc. This is an episode about a really creepy doll. One that is apparently haunted. Check out the story. Thanks and enjoy.
This week we discuss the horrific and extremely prolonged murder of Judy Malinowski. She was doused in gasoline by her on again off again boyfriend and set on fire. She managed to live nearly two more years before finally succumbing to her injuries. But not before she gave a detailed deposition from her hospital bed. Also I have a {Cringe} TikTok account for the podcast now. Check it out. @Criminaldumpsterfire
This week we discuss the story of how a dude held an entire town hostage for several hours with a literal home made tank destroying the property of anyone who he felt had done him wrong.. On June 4th 2004 Marvin Heemyer had finally had enough. He strapped into his home made tank. A heavily modified Komatsu D355 bulldozer, he plowed through the town of Granby Colorado while everyone simply stood by and watched in horror as he plowed through town hall and other buildings after a years long land/permit dispute with the town.
This week I get super current, like still active current.. And we talk about Gabby Petito and Brian Laundrie, how he is on the run and Gabby was murdered.. The voice is coming back online I think.. We shall see....... You may notice an editing hiccup or two.. I had a Joe Biden moment in the middle of recording, Like my train of thought went way off the rails... Not like a squirrel hunt but a totally different planet... But we set the ship back on course and we're smooth sailing from here out.... Hopefully we (I) will be back on a consistent rotation.. There are a couple of very cool announcements coming soon so Subscribe where ever you get your pods so you can be one of the cool kids and know what's going on.
This episode covers how one man terrorized the tiny town of Skidmore Missouri for decades until one day the townsfolk had enough and ended his tirade permanently. This is the story of the Murder of Ken McElroy.. Murdered in broad daylight in the middle of town in front of nearly 100 people, yet no one saw a thing. Special shout out to the Cigar Store Idiots, it was while listening to their podcast that I decided to do the story of Ken. The Cigar Store Idiots did a whole series on the town of Skidmore.---- Sidenote, IMO Skidmore is some secret portal to hell., just sayin... Anyway enjoy the show. Make sure to rate/share/subscribe....
Finally!! After a brief unplanned hiatus I am back with yet another dumpster fire.... The brutal murder of Doctor Theresa Sievers, a well respected physician in Bonita Springs FL... She had been found bludgeoned to death in her kitchen, Her husband had the perfect alibi... Or did he?.... Listen to find out.
This episode is the story of a random hiker being found dead in the Everglades and how it took two years to actually identify him. Vance Rodriguez up and left a career as a successful software engineer to explore the Appalachian Trail and the Florida Trail. He went completely off the grid. He was a true loaner, estranged from his family and seemingly plagued with undiagnosed (?) mental health issues no one ever reported the man missing. It took dogged detective work on the part of the Collier County FL Sheriffs office and advances in tracking familial DNA to finally identify the man initially only known as 'Mostly Harmless' Check out the Pyrat Prepper on YouTube for all things prepper! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCNkR2UGkjJ2gRcTlTE6tAcQ Also Shout out to Dads on Dayquil Podcast. Check them out for your weekly dose of Dad Life..
This week we discuss the story of Mark DeFriest, aka The Houdini of Florida. This man attempted 13 prison escapes 7 of which were considered 'Successful'. We discuss the fact that because of his propensity for escaping he has turned a 4 year prison sentence for armed robbery into essentially a life sentence.. (The man has been in prison for the last 40 years (minus the brief interludes as a Fugitive.)
Sorry for being so late with this episode.. Between Tropical Storms and WuTang Flu possibly running rampant through my house, and various other 'life' things occurring I didn't have the time to record.. Things have been INSANE around the cone of uncertainty... This episode is a little short like last week.. Who knows I may keep the episodes a little shorter... It's a learning curve.... Anyway. This week I covered the tragic murder of Jessica Lunsford. This murder was the catalyst for most sex offender registries and the penalties for not registering that exist today. Thanks for listening and hopefully we will be back to something resembling normal in the next week or so.
This week is a a short episode.. :( Poor planning on my part. But we cover the murder of Scott Amedure. He was murdered by a fellow guest Jonathan Schmitz after revealing live on TV that he had a crush on Jonathan. The episode in question never actually aired but the segment involving the 'Reveal' is widely available....Jonathan went to Scott's house 3 days after the show taping and gunned him down in cold blood. This week we talk about the brutal murder of Gretchen Anthony and how a monster thought he could use Covid19 to explain away her disappearance.
This week we discuss William Wells, the self Proclaimed Monster of Mayport. He is truly an evil man, he continues to kill, even after nearly 20 years behind bars. It all started with a nasty addiction to cocaine and marijuana and the 'accidental' murder of his wife. We discuss the 10 day long cocaine fueled murder spree that killed 5 people including his wife and father in law, his arrest and the continuation to this day of his murderous ways.
In our very first episode of Coffee and A True Crime Dumpster fire we explore the technically unsolved case of the Fathers Day bank heist that left 4 men dead inside a bank.
