Christian Sievers kennt ihr aus dem „heute journal“. Zunächst studierte er Jura und ging anschließend mit einem Stipendium für ein Jahr in die USA, um dort das Fernsehgeschäft kennenzulernen. Danach wurde er Moderator und Redakteur beim ZDF, zuerst für das Morgenmagazin. Anschließend leitete er mehrere Jahre das Auslandsstudio in Tel Aviv. Später präsentierte er die heute-Sendung und ist inzwischen als Hauptmoderator im „heute journal“ tätig. Als Reporter berichtete er aus Israel, dem Kosovo, Bosnien sowie über die Terroranschläge vom 11. September und die Tsunami-Katastrophe 2006 in Südostasien. Gerade bei der Moderation des Journals pflegt er einen möglichst lockeren Ton – und ist deshalb sehr beliebt. Wir sprechen über einige der dramatischen Momente, die Christian vor Ort miterlebt hat. Severs' disease, also known as calcaneal apophysitis, is a condition that affects children between the ages of 8 and 14 who are going through a growth spurt. It is characterized by pain and inflammation in the heel, particularly in the back of the calcaneus. The condition is caused by the growth of bones outpacing the growth of soft tissues, such as tendons and ligaments. Factors that contribute to the development of Sievers' disease include playing sports during the growth spurt, wearing restrictive footwear, and lack of attention to growth spurts in sports physicals. Treatment options include rest, immobilization, isometric exercises, motor control training, and dry needling. At 4' 11” tall, Teresa was known as a “little dynamo.” She was intelligent, abrupt, forceful, and, above all, caring. She always wore high heels, and she always spoke in an urgent manner. Nothing was ever blasé when it came to Dr. Sievers.   The four members of the Sievers family took a short trip to Connecticut for a family reunion, leaving on Friday, June 26th. Teresa decided to cut her visit short and head back to Florida to prepare for her workload the next week. There was no point in making Mark or their daughters cut their visit short, so she took a solo flight home. Mark dropped her off at LaGuardia Airport in New York City. When an alternative medicine doctor was found bludgeoned to death in her Bonita Springs, Florida home in the summer of 2015, friends and neighbors worried a burglar was on the loose, looking for his next random victim.
