New to our Colorado PrepsCast lineup is a regular podcast we've titled "IN THE GYM". Each week we get the chance to watch several games across the state and will use this regular podcast to provide thoughts on the top teams and players throughout Colorado. Our first IN THE GYM report centers on boys teams from Eaton, Highland, Kit Carson, Limon and Ignacio plus girls programs at Platte Valley, Academy, Eaton, University, Limon, Ignacio and Academy. Our report is presented by NAPA Auto Parts and Bank of Colorado.

Even though the season is already 10 days in, we thought we had enough time to preview the entire girls' basketball season for Classes 1A and 2A. The race in both divisions is wide open at this point and while the top challengers are familiar names, there are new programs in the mix as well. The report is a bit long at 25 minutes but we wanted to go in-depth in both classifications. The report is presented by NAPA Auto Parts and Bank of Colorado.

The season has already entered it's second week but we want to take a season long look at our picks for the top teams in Class 1A and 2A boys basketball.  It's our first PrepsCast of the basketball season and is presented by NAPA Auto Parts and Bank of Colorado.  We list our state championship contenders in both divisions and then move through several other top clubs.

Another weekly edition of our Western Slope PrepsCast is provided by Matt Kennedy and presented by Alpine Bank.  Matt looks at the top events from last week and to playoff football games on tap this weekend.

We continue to wind down the fall sports season and we get an update on teams from the San Luis Valley from Rion Eagan.  He provides the latest PrepsCast focused on the San Luis Valley which is presented by San Luis Valley REC and Torben Walters, the State Farm Agent in Alamosa.

Matches are underway in Class 4A volleyball but the brunt of the tournament is still in front of us.  Marty Cesario looks at the top teams and players from the entire bracket.

Post-season action is the focus of our Western Slope Prepscast for the week as host Matt Kennedy walks us through the teams and players involved.  The report is presented each week by Alpine Bank.

The Class 5A state volleyball tournament opens Thursday and 12 teams will compete for the championship.  The bracket is double elimination to the semifinals where it then turns into a single elimination event.  Marty Cesario provides a look at the teams and top players to watch.  Our PrepsCast is presented by Bank of Colorado and NAPA Auto Parts.

The third PrepsCast in our series previewing the state tournament takes a look at the 1A bracket where for the first time in several more than one or two teams have a legitimate shot at landing the championship.  The top five seeds all have impressive resumes and many other clubs in the field seem to be playing their best volleyball of 2019.  Our PrepsCast is presented by NAPA Auto Parts and Bank of Colorado.

Our Colorado PrepsCast series on the upcoming state volleyball tournament continues with a preview of the 2A bracket.  Play gets underway Thursday morning at 8:00am and unbeaten Denver Christian is the top seed and the favorite to land the championship.  We look at the Thunder and all the challengers in our newest PrepsCast which is presented by NAPA Auto Parts and Bank of Colorado.

The Class 3A state volleyball tournament opens this Thursday at the Denver Coliseum with 12 teams still chasing the 2019 state championship.  The list of contenders includes two unbeaten squads, traditional powers and three programs making their first visit to the state tournament.  We look at all of them in our latest Colorado PrepsCast as we preview the 3A state event.  All PrepsCasts are presented by NAPA and Bank of Colorado.

Our series on high school sports in the San Luis Valley continues with our latest Colorado PrepsCast.  It's presented by State Farm Agent Torben Walters and San Luis Valley REC.  Host Rion Egan gets us ready for the post-season as football and volleyball playoffs hit full speed this week.

It's been a few weeks since we produced a Colorado PrepsCast but we return this week with a focus on football seeding.  Playoff brackets for 8man, 1A, 2A and 5A are set to be released on Sunday and while the eight man process remains the same as last year, there are changes in how teams can be placed in the bracket in other divisions.  To help explain how the seeding element works this year, we visited with former CHSAA commissioner Bud Ozzello.  Now retired, he ran the football committee for the past several years and was involved in altering the process. San Luis Valley REC and State Farm Insurance Agent Torben Walters bring us another edition of the San Luis Valley Prepscast.  Host Rion Eagan takes us through the last week in the San Luis Valley and also previews the top games coming up this week.

Had a little fun with our weekly Colorado PrepsCast as we looked at every team in the state and made our choices for the teams that will make the playoffs in all seven classifications.  That comes out to 120 teams that we choose to make the bracket in their respective class.  Our choices begin with league champions who earn automatic bids, continue with teams we feel are locks to earn wildcard bids and in most cases, have to choose the final three or four teams in each division. A wide range of topics for the fourth episode of our Northeast Colorado PrepsCast.  We look back at a pair of huge wins by the Brush softball team and regional qualifiers from the regional in boys golf.  In addition we recap a big volleyball match between Wiggins and Sedgwick County and look ahead to the one versus two battle between Denver Christian and Limon.  And we breeze through the football schedule this weekend - again the focus in Limon where they host Strasburg plus a big game between Caliche and Dayspring Christian.
