Cam Schlittler's incredible road numbers force the Yankees into a fascinating October rotation debate. Tiki Barber and Shaun Morash weigh whether Schlittler should get Games 1 and 5 of a playoff series or whether his dominance away from Yankee Stadium makes him the perfect choice for a pivotal Game 3 while Gerrit Cole and Max Fried handle the other starts. Shaun Morash is in for Evan Roberts alongside Tiki Barber. They also push back on the idea that the Yankees lack urgency, debate whether struggling veterans are being given too much leeway, and begin examining how John Harbaugh's decision-making could make the Giants look very different this season.

Shaun Morash and Tiki Barber argue that Jones has become the complete player the Yankees hoped for, bringing power, speed, defense and production against lefties. With Aaron Judge nearing a return, they believe Jones has earned the right to stay in the everyday lineup over Trent Grisham, even when October arrives. Shaun Morash is in for Evan Roberts alongside Tiki Barber as the conversation shifts to Malik Nabers and the mental challenge of returning from a major injury. Tiki explains why Nabers may have to adjust to playing before he feels completely like his old self, and why getting comfortable with that reality could be the biggest hurdle in his comeback.

James Norwood joins Gaz and G Stop to chat about his career, from having trials once at Crystal Palace and missing a lads' holiday to Zante, right through to becoming a goalscoring phenomenon at Tranmere Rovers, playing for and being suspended by Ipswich Town, Joey Barton turning him down at Bristol Rovers, sneaking in an extra year at Barnsley, and regretting ever turning up at Oldham Athletic. Norwood doesn't hold back either. He talks about dealing with internet trolls, finding his next club, the managers he's worked under, some of the crazy moments from his career and the realities of life as a professional footballer travlling up and down the country chasing contracts. There's the story of missing a holiday to sign for Exeter City, some brilliant tales from Forest Green Rovers and why he now hates the club, choosing National League Tranmere Rovers over then-Championship side Burton Albion, scoring in a play-off final, and knocking Forest Green out of the League Two play-offs. We also get into his time at Ipswich Town, playing with his back to goal, injuries, being suspended and the problems that eventually saw him leave. And then there's Oldham... Norwood opens up about joining Oldham Athletic, wanting to leave after just one game, the fallout behind the scenes and why he ultimately regrets making the move. Plus, there's boozing before Leeds, questionable social media posts, mouldy showers and some brutally honest opinions on managers. The final month of the 2026 PRCA regular season is officially here, and there is still plenty left to decide in the team roping world standings. On this episode of The Short Score, Calli Montague breaks down where the NFR bubble stands entering September, with Ketch Kelton holding the No. 15 spot among headers and Wyatt Cox sitting 15th among heelers. The episode also looks at which teams have invites to the remaining big-money opportunities—and which will have to fight to Las Vegas the long way.The Cinch Playoffs field for Puyallup, Washington, is set for Sept. 10-13, but the Playoff Series race is not over. Puyallup's top four will advance directly to the Governor's Cup in Sioux Falls, while eight more teams will qualify through the Playoff Series points standings before the Sept. 21 cutoff. Outside of the Playoffs, there are numerous key stops on the ProRodeo trail for teams to have chances to make up ground, hold their spot in line, or extend their lead over the teams behind them. And the season could literally come down to the final steer on the final day. On Sept. 30, 377 Arena in Stephenville, Texas, will host a standalone PRCA-approved four-header with $75,000 added. There is potentially for a team that wins enough throughout the day to have a chance at money that could punch their ticket to the Finals.---This episode is brought to you by SmartEquine and ColiCare—an innovative approach to hindgut health and colic prevention. Instead, they left with a 3-1 loss, another frustrating performance and even more questions about where this season is headed. Chucky Lozano delivered in his emotional return to San Diego, scoring against his former club and looking like the Galaxy's most dangerous player. Sergi Roberto also made an immediate impression off the bench, giving LA a glimpse of what its midfield could become as he works toward full fitness.  But the individual positives can't hide the bigger problem. The Galaxy have one win in their last nine games, and an offense loaded with recognizable names continues to struggle. LA has scored just five goals over its last six matches despite ranking near the top of MLS in shots on target. Joseph Paintsil's form is becoming a serious concern, Robert Taylor continues to make a case for more minutes, and the podcast asks a question that suddenly doesn't seem so crazy: Should Taylor start over Paintsil? Then there's Greg Vanney. With 11 games remaining, the Galaxy need to produce at a dramatically higher rate than they have all season. The schedule isn't getting easier, the teams around them have games in hand, and simply sneaking into the playoffs may no longer be enough to settle questions about Vanney's future. And hovering over everything is Riqui Puig. His return to full training could finally be approaching in September, but after nearly two years without hearing directly from him, it's time to hear where Puig believes he is physically, mentally, and in his Galaxy future.  Josh Guesman and Kevin Baxter break down the San Diego loss, the controversial disallowed goal, Lozano's performance, Roberto's debut, Paintsil's struggles, Puig's return, the increasingly unforgiving playoff math, and the mounting pressure on the people responsible for turning this roster into a winner. The Galaxy have spent months talking about what this team could become. Now they're almost out of time to prove it. -- Follow Corner of the Galaxy All Season Long Corner of the Galaxy is kicking off Season 18 and has surpassed 1,300 episodes! As the longest-running team-specific podcast in Major League Soccer, we've been covering the LA Galaxy through championships, rebuilds, blockbuster signings, unforgettable moments, and everything in between. Freddie, Tommy and Eric are joined by Regan Smith to dive into the latest superspeedway package and debate whether NASCAR needs shorter, more frequent stages to keep drivers from riding around saving fuel.
