Crazy Careers to Consider

Today we’re once again doing a second lightning round. In our lightning rounds, we do a quick overview of some interesting careers out there that we find interesting, but can’t find a lot of information about on how to get into the field. But are interesting enough to feature and decide if it’s something you are interested in.   This week we feature: Nail Polish Namers, Pick-up Artist Instructor, Animal Acupuncturist, Ayurveda Healer, and Feng Shui Consultant!

But are interesting enough to feature and decide if it’s something you are interested in.   This week we feature Hippotherapist, Color Consultant, Flavorist, Fragrance Chemist and Horticultural Therapist 

Today we have an interesting career if you like to travel. It’s Teaching English as a Foreign Language otherwise known as TEFL. And as luck would have it, our co-host Tim did this for a year right outside of college, wo today, we’ll be giving a bit of first-hand knowledge to go with our research to tell you guys exactly why this is such a great career that you may want to consider. 

So, this week, we’ve a career where you’re heard, but rarely seen. Guessed it yet? A voice over artist! A voice over artist is someone who lends their voice to cartoons, TV shows, documentaries, television and radio commercials. There also is a huge need for voice over artists in video games too. So if this sounds intreguing, listen in and find out more!

Today we have an interesting career, as in many ways, it probably shouldn’t exist for many reasons. The career? Bicycle messenger. They transport goods just they do the same thing just like a mailman, or UPS and both of those services have a larger reach. A bicycle messenger only works within a city. The post office and UPS deliver nationwide and usually are much cheaper. So why are they still around? Find out!

Pearls, they are some of the most desirable gems in the world. Did you ever wonder how they got out of the oyster and onto your necklace? Well we go diving (ha, ha!) for information and found that there’s a lucrative career in collecting these jewels from the ocean. You’ve seen repo men on TV. They’re the guys who go around and repossess cars belonging to people who are delinquent on their payments. Pretty crazy right? We could do a podcast on this field, but it’s been done to death. Well let’s kick it up a notch and change “cars” to “airplanes”. Now that’s a podcast!

What do Sylvester Stallone, Brad Pitt, Renee Zellweger and Megan Fox have in common other than being actors? They all started out as movie extras! While not the best way to become a leading star in the movies, being a movie extra has its own unique rewards like flexibility in schedule, seeing how a movie is made and if you are lucky, seeing a movie star in action.
