In 2003, a garage on the trading estate was taken over by a group called The Slough Pit Stop Project. Their aim was to help young vulnerable people in the Slough area by giving them experience in working with motor vehicles, which would hopefully lead onto qualifications and then employment The project now also offers opportunities in construction and catering and they have recently moved into a new building on Buckingham Avenue. This episode finds out how and why the project has been such a success.

Ragus Sugars are the last remaining sugar manufacturer in the UK. They are also a long term tenant at the Slough Trading Estate having been based here since 1928. Only one business has been at STE longer. In this episode, Ben Eastick, director at Regus, talk about the history of the company, and other important matters - such as the joy of eating a syrup sandwich!

2020 is a truly momentous year for Slough Trading Estate as we celebrate our Centenary. Almost 100 years ago in May 1920, the estate as we know it today was first conceived when a small group of businessmen bought a large government motor repair depot which was created to restore more than 17,000 vehicles returning from the World War I battlefields. Slough Foodbank (whose main warehouse is on Slough Trading Estate) provides short-term, emergency support in times of crisis.
