Her bold, unapologetically confident portraits appropriate pop culture icons from the music industry and art world, creating contemporary homages to the likes of David Bowie, Elvis, Frida Kahlo, Boy George, Patti Smith, and Her Majesty The Queen.Defined as British Pop Art, her dripping wet, vibrant, colourful broad-brush marks give the appearance of canvases being fresh out of the studio. Working mostly in oil, led by the paint, she tries to capture the emotional charge of the individual, creating an iconic work of art.Bennett studied painting at Camberwell College of Arts where she crafted and explored the use of mark-making to convey her fascination with the human face and the immediacy of her paint handling.Bennett is driven by her lifelong obsession with music and art, spending her teenage years working at a record shop and after graduation, working as a graphic designer at some of the top UK music and celebrity magazines, She is a genuine fan of many of the celebrities she paints.Text taken from: https://www.degreeart.com/artists/julie-bennettFor more information on the work of Julie Bennett go to: https://www.juliebennett.co.ukTo Support this podcast from as little as £3 per month: www.patreon/ministryofartsIf you would like to promote your work, exhibition or any other creative project, please contact us at:Social Media: @ministryofartsorgEmail: ministryofartsorg@gmail.com Hosted on Acast. On this episode on the Zero Limits Podcast I chat with Wes Masters former Royal Army Medical Corps combat medic and recipient of the Military Cross.Wes Masters was awarded the Military Cross by Her Majesty The Queen for his actions on the battlefield in Afghanistan on the 4th of July 2013.The two men were among 12 British soldiers taking part in a pre-dawn raid on the Taliban in their stronghold of Yakshal in Helmand province.Wes ran hundreds of metres across dangerous ground surrounded by Taliban firing points, carrying heavy equipment, in stifling heat to tend to his comrade who had taken a shot in the throat from a Taliban sharp-shooter.  His actions kept the wounded soldier in the fight. That wounded soldier was a sniper, who then went on to have a significant impact on the battle, and undoubtedly preserved the lives of many of his teammates, whilst reducing the threat and capability of the enemy they were fighting. That injured comrade was Simon Moloney, who was awarded the Conspicuous Gallantry Cross for his actions on that same day. A Father Called Alice The film "A Father Called Alice" is based on the life of Martin Allen. The production company Paperboy Productions contacted Graham and he wanted to showcase Martin's story. It should be noted if you are easily offended by industrial language, then beware. But, as you'll see and hear, it is only what has been said in the Houses of Parliament by Martin himself. But, we'll get to that. Paperboy Productions are seeking investors for this new feature film. A Father Called Alice has an amazing story. Martin said during the podcast that he can talk. "We hadn't noticed" Graham quipped! But the thing is, you are left wanting more. This is why there is even talk of the film being made into a series. The subject matter is compelling. Some much so, that Her Majesty The Queen wanted to know more. If you want to stake an investment in A Father Called Alice, then start your due diligence here: Paperboy Productions Trophy Children Martin and his brother were Trophy Children. They were pushed to do well. http://thenext100days.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/Martin-Allen-Trophy-Child.mp4 The Film is "A Father Called Alice" Martin's life has been about 2 things. Losing his kids and finding a version of himself that he was vilified for. http://thenext100days.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/Martin-Allen-Get-Busy-Living.mp4 When Martin was 17, he started dating a woman twice his age. She knew Martin, and his association with his Dad's 'celebrity hiding' business. This lady lived in a very posh area of Chigwell. She had a charity do coming up. Martin was requested to be at her house. She got him dressed up as a woman. Older Woman Transforms Martin into a Woman http://thenext100days.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/Martin-Allen-Dressed-Up-as-a-Woman.mp4 if you are wondering how Martin looked back then.... An Epiphany, But Not For His Father Revealing the woman inside himself was an epiphany for Martin. When Martin told his father about himself, he reacted badly. And to the day, he regrets doing what he did. http://thenext100days.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/Martin-Allen-Epiphany-but-not-for-Dad.mp4 There was a pivot in Martin's family life. The birth of his third child triggered his wife. According to Martin, she became frustrated and had an affair. A process was in place that would unravel their marriage. Unravelling Marriage http://thenext100days.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/Martin-Allen-Marriage-Unravelling.mp4 Court Order Broken...48 times http://thenext100days.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/Martin-Allen-Court-Order-Broken.mp4 This is one of the longest podcasts Kevin Appleby and Graham Arrowsmith have ever recorded. It is Martin Allen telling his story. Right now, in these show notes, we have set the scene. I hope you are curious to find out more about the ending. Here's a summary Martin takes his battle to the Houses of Parliament and in particular to Lord Philips, but he can't do it as Martin so he discovers Alice Again. Alice is asked to put her recommendations to the House of Commons, the bill gets the right kind of support, Lord Philips asks Alice to give a speech in the House, the first member of the public to do so, making history in more than one way, The Family Justice Panel was born, the recommendation was also mentioned in the Queen's speech. Martin won his battle but sadly still has had no contact with his children to date. Please note to invest in the film, you should be a high-net-worth or sophisticated investor. Mike provoked the sales leaders gathered at the Sales Execution Simplified event in London with this statement that generated a healthy dialogue in the room:  Struggling salespeople (who are neither hitting their sales numbers nor maintaining a healthy pipeline) should have a feeling of discomfort as they leave their 1:1 accountability meeting! In this short episode recorded in Belfast, Mike shares highlights from his trip to the UK during the historic week following the death of Her Majesty The Queen, and regarding the all important 1:1 regular manager-salesperson accountability meeting, he reminds sales leaders that… - this meeting is most effective when kept short and focused on thing - accountability - should be completely fact/data-based and not based on feelings - the impact of these critical sessions gets diluted when managers pivot from accountability to coaching - we actually seek to create discomfort for underperforming salespeople -  if sellers are falling short of their sales goals and their pipelines are weak (not enough total coverage, not enough new opportunities being created, not enough existing opportunities being advanced) then we do not want them walking away thinking everything is fine - while we should be coaching and encouraging our struggling salespeople, we should NOT be doing that in our regular, brief accountability meeting

Queen Elizabeth II died–having shared Christ's light; Zambia, Africa celebrates New Testament translation; Ugandan Muslims threw 5 Christian evangelists overboard

It's Friday, September 9th,  A.D. 2022. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. By Adam McManus (Adam@TheWorldview.com) Ugandan Muslims threw 5 Christian evangelists overboard On August 10th, Muslim extremists killed five Christian workers by throwing them off a boat into central Uganda's Lake Kyoga, reports Morning Star News. A Christian survivor of the attack said the evangelists from End Time Word Ministry church were traveling from Nakasongola District to Apac District on a commercial transport boat with plans to plant a church. The survivor, Amos Kyakulaga, a church deacon who was acting as a guide, said the five evangelists began proclaiming Christ to a group of 10 Muslims in Islamic attire aboard the boat. He said, “On our way, Tonny Ankunda started preaching to the people on the boat, which resulted in a huge argument between Muslims and the missionaries concerning the Sonship of our Lord Jesus Christ.” He said one of the Muslims, identified only as Bashir, began threatening the Christians, saying, “If you continue insisting that Jesus is the Son of God, then Allah will kill all of you.” Citing Scripture, the evangelists continued affirming the sonship of Christ.  Bashir, the Muslim, told them, “We are giving you one last minute to stop your blasphemy and to convert by confessing the shahada (Islamic creed), or else your lives are at risk.” When the five evangelists refused to renounce Christ, the Muslims seized them and pushed them off the boat one by one, Kyakulaga said.  Because they were 650 feet from shore, all five Christians drowned. Despite the fact that Muslims make up only 12 percent of Uganda's population, they live in high concentrations in the east. Queen Elizabeth II died--having shared Christ's light Queen Elizabeth II died peacefully yesterday at the age of 96, marking an end to her 70-year and 214-day reign, reports The Sun. Her son, Charles, who will now be known as King Charles III, gave a somber statement as he led the nation in mourning last night. The new King said, “The death of my beloved mother, Her Majesty The Queen, is a moment of the greatest sadness for me and all members of my family.” She has been called the last reigning Christian monarch. In fact, Evangelist Franklin Graham said, “I'm especially grateful for the Queen's friendship with my father Billy Graham. He cherished their friendship that was built on a shared love for Jesus Christ and belief in God's Word." Throughout her 70-year reign, she often mentioned Christianity. In her 1957 Christmas address, Queen Elizabeth quoted the famous Christian allegory, The Pilgrim's Progress, by John Bunyun. QUEEN: “I believe that together, we can set an example to the world, which will encourage upright people everywhere. I would like to read you a few lines from Pilgrim's Progress, because I'm sure we can say, with Mr. Valiant-for-Truth, these words: ‘My marks and scars I carry with me to be a witness for me, but I have fought His battles, who now will be my Rewarder.” In the year 2000, she spoke of a personal accountability before God. QUEEN: “For me, the teachings of Christ and my own personal accountability before God, provide a framework in which I try to lead my life. I, like so many of you, have drawn great comfort in difficult times, from Christ's words and example. ‘Hold fast to that which is good. Render to near man evil for evil, strengthen the faint hearted, support the weak, healthy afflicted on all men.” In 2014, the Queen said that the life of Jesus was an inspiration and an anchor in her life. QUEEN: “Jesus Christ lived obscurely for most of His life, and never traveled far. He was maligned and rejected by many, though He had done no wrong. And yet, billions of people now follow His teaching and find in Him the guiding light for their lives. I am one of them because Christ's example helps me see the value of doing small things with great love.” In April of 2020, Queen Elizabeth affirmed the need to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, especially in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. QUEEN: “Indeed, we need Easter as much as ever. The discovery of the risen Christ on the first Easter Day gave His followers new hope and fresh purpose, and we can all take heart from this.” Last night, she received her heavenly crown, a crown worth infinitely more than her earthly one. The Bible speaks of five crowns. In 2 Timothy 4:8, Paul says, “Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.” 4 dead & 3 wounded in Memphis, Tennessee Mourning and anger enveloped Memphis, Tennessee yesterday as authorities sought the motive for a gunman's daylong, livestreamed shooting spree that left four people dead and three wounded, reports USA Today. Ezekiel Dejuan Kelly, age 19, was captured Wednesday evening having driven around for hours shooting people, and finally participating in a carjacking. Memphis Mayor Jim Strickland expressed outrage that Kelly had been charged with criminal attempted first-degree murder two years ago, but pleaded guilty in April 2021 to the lesser charge of aggravated assault. He was sentenced to three years in prison, but served just over two years. STRICKLAND: “If this man had served his full sentence, he would be in prison this morning, and these four lives would still be with us.” Zambia, Africa celebrates New Testament translation And finally, Christians in Zambia, Africa, are celebrating the latest milestone in Bible translation: the creation of the New Testament in their native tongues. According to CBN News, the effort is led by Wycliffe Associates, an organization that offers Bible translations in countless languages. Currently, over 5,000 people are working in Zambia to translate the Bible into 20 native languages. Bishop Henry Mumba, a pastor and church planter, is assisting church-owned translation work in Munsa. He recalled how he heard his first Bible verse when he was 19 years old. MUMBA: "My pastor was a missionary from another country. And he came into this town and when they preached the Gospel to me, the first verse that I knew was John 3:16. ‘For God so love the world, that He gave His only son that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.'" Listen as this woman quoted a portion for the first time in their hearing. (audio of Zambian translation followed by cheers) Amazingly, it's the first time this language has been written down for any reason. MUMBA: “That Bible is the first written literature. We've never had anything before.” Bishop Mumba explained what it meant. MUMBA: “God is speaking our language!” Of the world's 7,000 languages, fewer than 800 have the Bible fully translated. Consider giving a gift to help fund the sacred work of Wycliffe Translators. She would have a position that enabled her access to many medications and many patients and she used that power and responsibility to rack up a list of crimes that would lead to her eventually pleading guilty to eight counts of first degree murder, four counts of attempted murder and two counts of aggravated assault. Buckingham Palace prefers to use code names for all royal deaths. The last time a British monarch died 70 years ago, the demise of George VI was communicated in code to Buckingham Palace, to prevent switchboard operators from finding out. The code was “Hyde Park Corner”. If you like our content please become a patron to get our bonus episodes, as well as our public episodes ad-free! While everyone loves the Queen and wishes Her Majesty would live forever, one has to face the facts: Queen Elizabeth is 96 years old, she is in good health for her age but she does have some mobility issues, as any human would at 96. She had COVID-19 in February 2022, she recovered but she did say that covid leaves 'one feeling very tired and exhausted'. During the Platinum Jubilee celebrations, The Queen pulled out of some of the events due to “discomfort”. 1 The day she passes was code-named D-Day, and every day after that until she is taken to her last resting place. 2, 3 The second Her Majesty The Queen draws her last breath, Prince Charles of Wales becomes King. The British prime Minister is announced of her demise, he will hear the phrase “London Bridge is down”. From the Foreign Office's Global Response Centre, in an undisclosed location in London, the news will go out to the 15 governments outside the UK where the Queen is also the head of state, and the 36 other nations of the Commonwealth. 4 The BBC, will activate RATS the “radio alert transmission system”, a cols war system that is used only in case of national emergencies or the monarch's death. On D Day +1, the proclamation of King Charles will take place – that is part of operation SPRING TIDE. His coronation will most likely happen about a year later though. The queen will lie in state at the Palace of Westminster for three days, in an operation codenamed FEATHER. D-Day +9 is the actual day of the funeral, and everything will be closed in the UK - including the stock market – as this will be a day of national mourning. The nation will be silent. The state funeral itself will be held at Westminster Abbey. After the state funeral at Westminster Abbey, the queen's body will be brought home to Windsor Castle outside of London, where many members of the royal family over the centuries have been buried at St. George's Chapel. Once Charles is king, the line of succession will change. William will move up and take the position of heir apparent. 1. NBC News. Queen To Skip Jubilee Event After Feeling “Discomfort”. Youtube.
