Join us for Hammer's Hands of the Ripper, a 1971 British horror film released as the second half of a double feature with Twins of Evil. Directed by Peter Sasdy, produced by Aida Young, and written by L.W. Davidson from a story by Edward Spencer Shew. Making good use of the large Baker Street set at Pinewood Studios—left over from The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes—the production was denied permission to film its final scenes at St. Paul's Cathedral, so a replica was constructed instead. If the Pritchards' home and staircase look familiar, it's because Hammer's ever-resourceful set designers reused elements from The Curse of Frankenstein years earlier (see episode 2 of our podcast for more on that classic). Director Peter Sasdy, who cited Hands of the Ripper as his favourite film, also directed the original Adrian Mole TV series (both The Secret Diary and The Growing Pains), three episodes of Hammer House of Horror, and two other Hammer features: Countess Dracula and Taste the Blood of Dracula (the latter coming to the podcast later this year, hopefully). Most monumentally, he directed the legendary BBC sci-fi thriller The Stone Tape (definitely check General Witchfinders number 5—our third most popular episode to date!). Eric Porter stars as Doctor Pritchard. Renowned for his work in film, television, and theatre, he famously played Professor Moriarty opposite Jeremy Brett's Sherlock Holmes and Soames Forsyte in The Forsyte Saga. Angharad Rees plays Anna, the daughter of the Ripper. She appeared in Boon (take a drink), starred as Demelza in 28 episodes of Poldark, and, the year after Hands of the Ripper, featured in Under Milk Wood alongside Richard Burton, Peter O'Toole, and Elizabeth Taylor. She was made a Fellow of the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, had a pub named after her in Pontypridd (sadly now a card shop), and founded a Knightsbridge jewellery company, Angharad. Pieces she designed were featured in Elizabeth: The Golden Age. Wikipedia also notes she was once in a relationship with Alan Bates, which we mention only to plug episode 35, where we talked about The Shout.Lynda "Nurse Gladys Emmanuel" Baron appears as Long Liz—a curious name choice considering Long Liz was an actual canonical Ripper victim. Here, she's depicted alive and well (at least initially), years after Saucy Jack's supposed demise. Baron appeared as a recurring character in both Coronation Street and EastEnders, and played three different characters in Doctor Who across three Doctors.Dora Bryan turns up as Mrs Golding, one of two clairvoyants in the film. You may know her from 50 episodes of Last of the Summer Wine, Boon (drink), or as Helen in A Taste of Honey (written by Jon's mum's mate Shelagh Delaney). She (Dora, not Shelagh) also appeared in both a Carry On and a St Trinian's.Lastly, Norman Bird pops up as the Police Inspector. If he looks familiar, it's because he had over 200 TV and 60 film roles. He was in Spywatch (as Mr Jenkins), Boon (drink), Woof!, Whack-O!, and Help! (with Stephen Mangan). He also did a stint in Jim Davidson's Up the Elephant and Round the Castle—only mentioned because Ross was convinced it was alongside Marina Sirtis, but IMDb says she was in just one episode?Anyway, back to Norman Bird. He appeared in The Adventure Game, Whistle Down the Wind, Steptoe and Son, Fawlty Towers, Please Sir!, and The Medusa Touch (on our long list since day one). He was Mr Braithwaite, the farmer, in Worzel Gummidge and voiced Bilbo in the 1978 Ralph Bakshi Lord of the Rings. Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome back for more DOUBLE TROUBLELet's talk about dreams….Dreams can be intoxicatingly erotic; they can be filled with loss and longing; you might be falling, trapped in an confusing maze, or carried across bodies of water in a leaky boat. I often have the actor's nightmare - where I'm about to go onstage, but I don't know my lines and I don't even know which play it is. These are dreams from which I wake up in a cold sweat.SUMMER WINE by Nancy Sinatra and Lee Hazelwood (Reprise, 1966)A Succubus is defined as a female demon or supernatural entity that appears in dreams to seduce men. This is probably what singer-songwriter-producer Lee Hazelwood had in mind when he paired up with the husky voiced Nancy Sinatra to tell the story of a cowboy who swaggers into town, and meets an alluring siren, who then invites him to spend the night partaking of her special home-made brew. He drinks too much of the elixir and wakes up the next morning alone, hungover, and without his silver spurs. This might have been a cautionary tale, but the smitten cowboy is left craving more of the same.Understandable. Nancy had seduced us all with These Boots Are Made For Walkin' and Sugar Town, and was at the peak of her magnetic powers. Teaming up with Lee was a smart move, too, because this Svengali was an American original; an independently minded auteur, with an irresistible basso, who, with his muse, went on to create many evocative and enduring tracks before going their separate ways. The structure of the song is simple: Nancy sings only the recurring chorus describing her recipe: “Strawberries, Cherries, and an Angel's kiss in spring…” This plays like an ear worm, stuck in the cowboy's head as he relates his mysterious tale of submission.HOW CAN WE HANG ON TO A DREAM by Mimi Farina (Philo, 1985)Mimi Farina became a widow at age 21. The younger sister of Joan Baez, who was one half of an anointed, royal duo of folk music, was left bereft when Richard Farina, her husband and partner, rode his motorcycle into oblivion. After casting about for years, trying to find her civic, and artistic footing (forming the charitable performing organization, Bread and Roses - and, even trying improv comedy) - she finally emerged in 1985, stronger and more confident at the age of 40, with a beautiful solo effort. Here she interprets the Tim Hardin composition HOW CAN WE HANG ON TO A DREAM? - which delicately puts all her trials into perspective.Mimi died of cancer in 2001, leaving behind a legacy of fragile, dream-like beauty and wonder. It seems that some people are too good for this world. I'm reminded of Richard and Mimi's anthemic PACK UP YOUR SORROWS…”If somehow you could pack up your sorrows, and give them all to me….you would lose them, I know how to use them, give them all to me.”Mimi did just that for us.

With just a few weeks of summer left, we have the perfect wine to ensure that you do not squander those last few precious days. Afterall, there are some wines that just scream summer, and Vinho Verde is at the top of the list. Hailing from Portugal, Vinho Verde is a light, crisp, easy drinking, crowd pleasing little spritzer. Yes, spritzer because it is often also effervescent. Vinho Verde is also pretty easy to find in your local store, and very reasonably priced! This episode is also the perfect example of how we love to create content that our listeners care about - and we are starting this series on Portuguese wines based on a recommendation from our faithful listeners! And Portuguese wines are worthy of their own set of episodes because, despite being a smallish country in terms of population, Portugal way out-punches its weight class in terms of wine production. If you are a wine fan and are looking to expand your wine knowledge, learning about Portuguese wines is a must. And we make it fun!

A new plan aims to increase California's wildfire insurance coverage. Breaking down the debates around reforming Prop 47. Finally, Insight's resident wine expert on enjoying summer wine. Reforming California Wildfire Insurance Last week, California's Insurance Commissioner Ricardo Lara rolled out his latest effort to boost the number of insurance policies written in high-fire risk areas. The new measure would give compliant insurance companies a long-desired tool to calculate rates - catastrophe modeling. CalMatters economy reporter Levi Sumagaysay joins Insight to discuss this latest plan, as well as other steps officials and lawmakers are taking to address the ongoing insurance crisis. Breaking Down Prop 47 Debate A decade ago, California voters passed Prop 47 to reduce penalties for some drug and theft offenses. Now, state lawmakers want to strengthen those penalties again, but disagree over the way to do so. Top Democrats are backing an anti-theft bill package, while Republicans support a reform initiative that will be on the ballot in November. San Francisco Chronicle columnist Emily Hoeven breaks down the debates around reforming Prop 47. Summer Wine Pairings With the weather warming up, many people might be looking to enjoy this time of year with a nice glass of wine, or to get together with friends for a tasting. Insight's resident wine expert Rick Kushman provides some suggestions on the best ways to enjoy a summer wine pairing, and also talks about his upcoming wine and food tastings starting June 27 at the Brickland in East Sacramento.

Popular in the Catalonia area of Spain where it is known as Garnatxa Blanca, and in the Rhône area of France where it is often used as a blending grape and known as Grenache Blanc, White Grenache is a tasty, complex, and food friendly white wine that deserves more attention! After tasting and reviewing it in this episode, we were surprised that this is not a more well-known wine. It is a perfect pairing for fish, and it is also a wine with a wide assortment of tastes and fragrances that were kind of exciting to find. Sip, share, shape our podcast!Temperatures are heating up and our natural instinct is to shift from red to white wine to tame the sweltering summer temperatures. SWTW takes on the task of finding the perfect chilled summer red wines perfect for every occasion! From Lambrusco to Syrah and a few in between, we hit the highlights so you, too, can pop the cork on red wine throughout the dog days of summer. What are the key elements which make a red variety perfect for serving at cooler temperatures (45-55 F)? High acidity, red fruit flavors, thin skins for low tannin and lower alcohol! Winemakers pick grapes at the perfect point, likely on the early side, to achieve the crunchy, bright, light fruity red wine style needed to put on the chill.Lambrusco is a moderately fizzy red made in the same way as Prosecco. Grape varieties are little known Maestri, Marani, Montericco, and Salamino and translate to vibrant fuchsia deliciousness in the glass. Gamay, most famous in Beaujolais as well as Pinot Noir are definitely in the perfect wheelhouse for summer chillables! SWTW faves include Louis Jadot Beaujolais Village and our previous guest Morét-Brealynn Wines Pinot Noir. What's not to love!?!The most surprising star of the summer chilled red wine show is cool climate Syrah! We'll let you listen in to the story, but Division Wine Co's Gamine wins our vote along with Unison Vineyard's New Zealand "And Relax"! Summer is here and we think it's the perfect time to put the chill on a great bottle of fruity red and sip your way through the season!Cheers!Charisse & KristiThanks for joining Somm Women Talk Wine! Don't call it a comeback! Literally, given the number of alternative titles Pete Walker's 1978 chiller goes under. Best-known as The Comeback, stars crooner Jack Jones as crooner Nick Cooper - a stretch, then - who is all fresh from a stay in rehab and ready to record his comeback album. The process is interrupted by artistic conflicts, record industry politics, scary ghosts and a hag-masked killer armed with a sickle. Not necessarily in that order. The first in Pop Screen's 2023 Halloween month sees Robyn Adams rejoin the show to talk about the genius of Sheila Keith, Walker's gift for an outrageous title - including some contradictory advice given to his female protagonists - and the sheer weight of classic comedy connections in this ostensibly straight-faced horror film. This essay is one in a series celebrating deserving artists or albums not included on NPR Music's list of 150 Greatest Albums Made By Women.Nancy Sinatra, the force who brought "These Boots Are Made For Walkin'" to life, was never meant to sing the song at all. The late Lee Hazlewood, a songwriter and producer for the likes of Duane Eddy, had written the single and intended to sing it himself. But once Sinatra heard it, she immediately had a better idea. "He said, 'It's not really a girl's song. I sing it myself onstage.' I told him that coming from a guy it was harsh and abusive, but was perfect for a little girl to sing," Sinatra told Los Angeles Magazine last year. The song soared to the top of the Billboard pop charts, scored Sinatra two Grammy nominations and has been covered dozens of times by the likes of Loretta Lynn and a baby-faced Nick Cave. The 1966 hit became an anthem for women who refused to be walked all over, and who threatened to do the very same if crossed. It also proved that Sinatra and Hazlewood collaborations were pure magic, a fact writ large on their first collaborative album, 1968's Nancy & Lee. Composed of covers and Hazlewood-penned tunes, Nancy & Lee is a linchpin of horn-driven, off-kilter, sing-speak '60s pop. While Hazlewood's lysergic jilted cowboy baritone purrs throughout the album, and Billy Strange, of the famed Wrecking Crew, lends a hand arranging and composing the songs here, Sinatra's crystalline pipes, made all the more wonderful because of her expressive singing style, make it glisten. The way Sinatra so nonchalantly sings "go ahead, see if I care" on the album's Johnny and June Carter Cash cover "Jackson", you can almost see her shrugging. On the twinkling closing track "I've Been Down So Long (It Looks Like Up To Me)," Sinatra admits: "Well I pushed him off the ladder of success," giggling; Hazlewood chimes in and says: "That's true!" (The vinyl version of the album features Sinatra and Hazlewood in a Q&A, in which they're asked: "Does 'Lady Bird' contain political overtones?" The two reply: "The only overtones 'Lady Bird' contains are the high notes Lee misses and Nancy laughs at").What stuns about Nancy & Lee, though, is how Sinatra and Hazlewood masterfully marry sunshiny orchestral elements with lyrics that dig at something darker about the human condition, ranging from fleeting lovers and feeling so devastatingly lonesome that another romance seems outside the realm of possibility. On the swelling "Sundown, Sundown," Hazelwood growls: "There's no one in this world for me / There's never gonna be." Then Sinatra comes in, sweeping Strange's orchestral arrangements — and listeners — off their feet as she croons: "Sundown / I miss you, sundown / I need you sundown / Come on, come on, come on, come on back to me."Love is always just out of reach on Nancy & Lee; no one is anyone's baby. It's a sweet, elusive dream thing that lives on only in song. Loving feelings are lost, and in "Summer Wine," characters wake up with their pockets empty, head swelled and with only a fading memory to remind them of the one who got away. The album's core is the

We're totally on board, but this summer, we're pouring a few new white wines into our glass and bringing you along for the ride!As two bubble loving wine friends, Kristi's first surprise for Charisse is the Sparkling Riesling NV from Coeur Cause Wines. Not only is this crisp, fresh, citrus forward bubbly deliciously refreshing, a percent of every bottle sold supports one of Coeur Cause's charities. Owner Stacy Bellew partners with winemaker Josh Maloney to bring a sparkler which maintains the flavor and aroma (think petrol) so true to Riesling. Think you don't like Riesling, this beauty will change your mind!Next up, Txakoli (sounds like broccoli) from Basa Lore. Made from the Hondarrabi Zuri grape varietal, this lightly fizzy wine is typical of the Getariako Txakolina D.O. in the Basque Country of Spain. Think steep slopes, green Spain, crisp ocean breezes and this wine exudes the perfect accompaniment to any and all of your summer fun. It's bright. It's crisp. It's definitely worth hunting down to stock your fridge. Txakoli loosely translates to “enough for the home” but we're not sure there actually is enough of this Summer delight. Sharing her Basque and Txakoli expertise with us is Dr. Kerri Lesh, or Dr. Txakoli.Kristi's summer adventure in Wisconsin and Minnesota afforded a visit to Saint Croix Vineyards with Peter Hemstad, co-owner, for a vineyard-based exploration into the world of grape variety creation. One of the results? Itasca! This superb creation not only withstands the frigid MN winters, it is also hardy enough to resist pests and disease which can plague vineyards. With 23 varieties of wine, many lesser known varietals created by Peter and the University of Minnesota, this winery should be on everyone's vacation destination top 10.Hailing from La Pradera Vineyard in the Texas High Plains rounds out the final four. From Tatum Cellars, this single vineyard, single varietal Roussanne is a rare expression of the varietal as a stand alone. Most typically blended in the southern Rhône region of France, this wine lets Roussanne shine. Juicy, spicy, toasty yet maintaining a freshness made for summer drinking. While we know it may be impossible to find these wines in your local wine shop, we hope you'll get them shipped to your doorstep in time for this weekend's summer fling!Show Sponsors:> The Magnolia in Fort Worth> The Texas Wine ClubDon't forget to FOLLOW, LIKE, COMMENT, SHARE and let us know any topics you'd like us to cover!Cheers! Seriously - $4.99?!? How good can a wine actually be at $4.99?!? Well, we are here to tell you, and you may just be surprised by what we have to say! In this episode we do a side-by-side comparison of the Costco Kirkland Signature Grave Pinot Grigio with two other easy to find Pinot Grigios to see how it stacks up. Pinot Grigio is a wine that some wine snobs are down on, but we'll tell you confidently - don't listen to them. A good Pinot Grigio is like a warm summer day, and there are few wines that are better with fish and shellfish. Hailing from the northern areas of Italy, Pinot Grigio is the most popular white wine in Italy, and the 2nd most popular white wine in the United States for a reason! And, we'll admit that while sometimes Costco's Kirkland brand can seem too good to be true, it is often surprisingly high in quality especially in comparison to the price. Talk about high QPR! If for some reason you think you are not a Pinot Grigio fan, check out the episode, and we think we can change your mind. Wines reviewed in this episode: 2022 Costco Kirkland Signature Grave Pinot Grigio, 2021 Kris Pinot Grigio, and 2021 Barone Fini Valdadige Pinot Grigio.Contact The Wine Pair Podcast - we'd love to hear from you!Visit our website, leave a review, and reach out to us: www.thewinepairpodcast.comFollow and DM us on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thewinepairpodcast/Send us an email: joe@thewinepairpodcast.com

In Welcome to the Masquerade: Prelude to the Coming Reset, geopolitical authors and researchers John Hamer and Shannon Rowan team-up to expose a massive hoax, second to none in human history. Welcome to the Masquerade takes the reader on a journey deep down the rabbit hole while exploring a wide variety of political and esoteric topics—unmasking the main players and their control agendas at the heart of the world's great masquerade of 2020-2022. No subject will be sacrosanct for this discussion, as this epic roundtable will traverse into everything from the Big Tech and Big Pharma partnerships, social-engineering programs, the orchestrated financial resets of the fraudulent world-wide monetary and banking systems, WiFi warfare, and the many fronts of world-wide eugenics. John's vast, encyclopedic knowledge of geopolitics and control agendas coupled with Shannon's in-depth medical and technical expertise alongside her original illustrations make for an astounding collaboration, as they pose the critical question “Cui Bono?” or “Who Benefits" from these unrelenting crimes against humanity. Shannon Rowan is a "WiFi refugee," social critic, freethinking fine artist, writer, geopolitical author and researcher, photographer, dancer, children's book author/illustrator and EMF-awareness activist. She lives in the wilds of Northern California with her partner and their two cats and is an outdoor enthusiast, avid surfer and sea kayaker. She had a career as a photojournalist and contributed to major national and international news and travel magazines as photographer and writer. John Hamer was born and raised in a small village in the Pennine hills in ‘Last of the Summer Wine country' in rural West Yorkshire in the north of England, but now lives on the beautiful North Yorkshire coast, overlooking the North Sea. He spent most of his working life as a corporate slave to the IT industry, before ‘seeing the light' and finally escaping from the dreary, soul-destroying confines of the corporatocracy over twenty years ago. Since then he has been a full-time professional, geopolitical researcher, analyst, public speaker and author, having written and had published eight books to date. His first, The Falsification of History was, and continues to be, a great success and established his reputation as a writer of ‘real' history, as opposed to the usual lies we are fed by the corporate media in all its forms, on a daily basis. That Does Suit Madame, a Podcast about "Are You Being Served?"
The talented and charming Joanne Heywood stopped by the recording studio while on a holiday tour of Northern Mississippi! We learn that Ms. Heywood's first professional acting role was the musical “High Society” (and we even get a bit of her singing on the episode). Which cast member kept giggling during Grace & Favour? AND which actor did all of their own stunts? What could the original AYBS series get away with in comedy that the later sequel couldn't? How does an actor handle an upstaging horse who wants the spotlight? John Inman's lovely codpiece! Was it intimidating to be a new actor on the cast with the very well-known AYBS leads? We learn about Ms. Heywood' 2 years on “First of the Summer Wine”. A connection from Grace & Favour to Gavin and Stacey! What was it like to be an audience member during the filming of the show? She stared in Coronation Street three times, EastEnders, and Emmerdale! We hear accents ranging from East London's “Albert Square” from EastEnders to Proper Northern Lass. What American TV show could be compared to Are You Being Served? The expensive custom nightie made by famous lingerie house Rigby and Peller. Theft in the wardrobe department! And what would have happened to Miss. Lovelock if the series had continued? You can find Joanne Heywood in a Christmas Panto this year. (And yes, Ms. Heywood is unanimous in this). A huge thank you to Joanne for spending time with our podcast. Gladys goes on strike! It's hot (stay cool, #Unanimous). Our newest unpaid intern position: the T.W.I.T: Mr. Bill! We're heading towards the end of the podcast (so send us your voicemails soon!). The original AYBS cast turn into retirees in Season 2 of Grace & Favour? Do you warm your teapot before you pour in the boiling water? Chewing gum and kitties don't mix. Mr. Brandon sees his grandmother's doppelgänger in Mrs. Slocombe. What exactly -was- Mr. Humphries doing with the Americans behind the barn? Is Humphries a man's man? We ponder the 1993 idea of asexuality. It's bad luck to pass a 3-legged cat on the stairs. The Black Cat Lobbyists group have been busy. What -did- Mr. Humphries reach down for during his dream with a Cowboy? Mrs. Humphries' many romantic suitors who Wilberforce was told were his “uncles”. Mavis becomes Humphries' “big sis”. Aww! The Sandy Return of Mrs. Alexby! Captain Peacock finds a loaded gun in the “writing room”. The gun goes off, misses Mr. Humphries, hits a bottle of gin, and he faints behind the bar! The staff immediately worry that a terrorist might have planted the gun in the Manor. (A very un-American idea). Miss. Brahams thinks Prince Charles and Princess Diana live in the property next to Millstone Manor. “So much for English O-levels”. A mucky scene with Mavis (and poor Fleur Bennett). “Eastenders” and “First of the Summer Wine” actors make appearances as the police force. We love Tameka Empson, star of “Eastenders” but in our hearts for “Beautiful Thing” who played Leah. The Derek Bentley gun case is sneakily inserted into this episode. A “makarov” gun and Frank Thornton's brilliant acting. The team gets their backgrounds checked. Miss. Lovelock has an Irish Arab in the stable. Mr. Molturd's blumberbuss gun! Mike Patt talks all things DMV Sports. We start off the show by talking about the Orioles incredible hot streak, the Nationals incredible cold streak, and the Mystics coming out of the All-Star Break. The second part of the show consists of everyone not playing right now, the Commanders, Ravens, Capitals, and Wizards. We also address a rumor about Virginia Athletics and have fun with a recent internet trend. All this while continuing summer White Wine month with a lovely Italian table wine.

A warm welcome to the new Australian Kath & Kim podcast: “Look at Moi - Celebrating 20 years of Kath and Kim” with Rowdie Walden. It's nice, it's different, it's unusual. Check it out, doll. The new Elizabeth Line on the London Underground tube system with special guest: HRH Queen Elizabeth II. That Lower Ohio County Line of the Northern Mississippi Bus Company drops off a new candidate for our intern position (unpaid). We meet our Superfan and Special Co-Host: Mr. Bill! Token straight listeners! Check out Stranger Happenings, Mr. Bill's podcast about strange and unique history and bizarre occurances at StrangerHappenings.com “The Moment of Butch”. Mavis's unique system of categorizing hard boiled eggs with a hopeful grin. The opening credits and the oil painting that fades into the video of the episode. Was Mr. Humphries actually into Mavis?! Mrs. Slocombe's funeral look for Court. Miss Brahms remarks “Crippen's bird” when she sees Slocombe's black veil. Harvey Crippen was a 19th Century doctor who murdered his wife. His mistress, Ethel Le Neve, wore a black veil at his court case. We unpack (again) Benidorm: the actual place and the amazing comedy show. Mrs. Slocombe, while in Benidorm, called Dictator Franco “a berk”. Cockney rhyming slang = Berkeley Hunt, rhymes with …C U Next Thursday. Benidorm, Spain becomes a “Little Britain” (or at least Northern England) with low airfare and hotel packages. Note: Birmingham is -not- Northern England. Barrister = defends people in court. Solicitor = does legal paperwork, contracts, etc. Mrs. Slocombe is on the front page of the paper listed as “a pensioner”. How can a bus pass give away her age? Miss Lovelock and Captain Peacock are to ride a motorcycle? The staff help with the piglets on the hay ride. The Dick Turpin highwayman case! Mr. Bill is a UK TV expert! The eternal battle: Eastenders vs. Coronation Street? Straight men don't know Absolutely Fabulous? Is Mr. Rumbold a leather daddy?! We meet The Magistrates. We learn what “having a slash” means. We also learn that Mr. Humphries kept to himself to himself. Alfie Bass (Mr. Goldberg) was in The Beatles' movie, “Help” from 1965! The first lesbian(ish) interaction on the series between the Lady Magistrate and Miss. Brahams. People have known Mrs. Slocombe for “years and years- years and years and years….”. Ha! Mr. Moulturd doesn't doubt Mrs. Slocombe's veracity (at least back then). Hang the bird in the cellar! Mollie Sugden does a good faint. We finally see the real Tiddles. Mother Humphries has a mobile phone in 1992. The SNL Gap Girl sketch! The Youth don't like to speak on the phone (they text!). Mavis appears to be in LOVE with Mr. Humphries. (Fleur Bennett nails it) Electrocution lessons! Last of the Summer Wine ran from 1973 to 2010 and starred Trevor Bannister and Frank Thorton for years and years.
