SEVEN The crucifixion of Jesus was a beautiful tragedy. In this one event, we have the collision of humanity's worst and God's best; violence and forgiveness. Humanity's violence and Divinity's forgiveness. Though the cross, Rome's preferred method of capital punishment, was a horrific display of agonizing pain and dehumanizing shame; Jesus turned it into an icon of beautiful mercy, grace, and reconciliation. In this series, we will explore the Seven statements Jesus made from the cross. In doing so, we will ask how these statements of Jesus help us live this cruciform life.

DOMINION Jesus is King. For believers, this is an indisputable declaration. But is a declaration enough? Every king has a kingdom -- the domain in which the king has the authority to rule. As Believers, declaring "Jesus is king" is not enough; we also submit ourselves to the authority of his rule. In this series, we will discuss how God's Dominion should shape our lives through Spiritual Formation, Cultural Engagement, and Theological Understanding.

FALL LAUNCH Join us as we discuss the plans for the rest of 2020.
HOPE FILLED IMAGINATION In 2020, there may be nothing that we need more than hope. Biblical Hope is a joyful and confident expectation, it implies that things are not as they should be, that there is brokenness around us. Hope helps us reimagine life as it could be - as it should be. In this message we discuss what it looks like to have our imaginations filled with hope.
WASTING OUR WITNESS Jesus said; "Repent, for the Kingdom of heaven is at hand." What did he mean by this simple, yet profound and provocative, statement? In this one sermon, Jesus is calling us to one allegiance -- an allegiance to his kingdom alone. Jesus, throughout his ministry, invites us to join him in bearing witness to this new life. In this sermon, Pastor Ryan shares a talk he gave recently at a conference. The talk specifically deals with the church and its relationship with nationalism. This pastoral critique calls us back to our one and only allegiance to the Lamb that was slain -- the King of kings -- Jesus.
DOWNWARD MOBILITY The Kingdom of God is paradoxical. It often seems like a contradiction. The last will be first, the blessed are the broken, and the way up is the way down. In this sermon, Pastor Jordan walks us through the temptation of Jesus, and from it, how we can learn to live a life of downward mobility.
ACCIDENTAL ANARCHISTS It is easy, at times, to look at the actions of others and make declarations about their sin. It is much more difficult, to be honest about our own sin and shortcomings. They say that we tend to judge others by their actions and ourselves by our intent. Anarchy, a hot term these days, is the state of disorder due to the absence of authority. It is when someone, or a group of people, believe that they are the final authority and therefore are free to live as they see fit. In this sermon, Pastor Ryan walks through the ways in which we can become Accidental Anarchists and how to overcome our own propensity to be self-sovereigns.
Pentecost is, in church history, the day in which the Holy Spirit filled the local gathering of believers and launched, with power, what we now call the local church. In this new series, Pentecost, we are going to take some time to explore the empowering presence of the most ignored person of our Triune God, the Holy Spirit. As God, the Holy Spirit has been present throughout all of the scriptural narratives; from the opening chapter in Genesis to the closing chapter of Revelation. Promised by Jesus, the Spirit was sent to be our Helper. In this series, we will explore what Christian doctrine calls “pneumatology” or the study of the Holy Spirit. Asking questions like; Who is the Holy Spirit? What is the role of the Spirit in the God-head? How do we rely upon His presence and power in our daily lives? Join us for a deeper understanding of the empowering presence of the Holy Spirit.

RACIAL RECONCILIATION & THE CHURCH - A CONVERSATION Today is Pentecost Sunday. On this day, by the power of the Holy Spirit, the glory of God was declared in every language. Pentecost is a feast of common humanity - the celebration of the destruction of the walls that divide. We see this day as the great reversal of the Tower of Babel. In consideration of the current racial tensions in our country, Pastor Ryan and Peter Smith, sit down to discuss racial reconciliation and the church. Not as experts but as friends. We invite you to listen in.
The Psalms give us a beautiful, raw and unfiltered look into the relationship between God and his people; exploring, without reservation, the full range of human experience and emotion. With its raw and unfiltered emotion, the Psalms help us process our own emotions. By song and Spirit they comfort the lonely, strengthen the weary, bind the brokenhearted and turn the eyes of the downcast toward their creator. Hope returns, faith is renewed and life again becomes bearable.

RESURRECTION SUNDAY Join us as we celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus! The entire Gospel story hinges on the reality of the Resurrection. Today, looking at Matthew 28:1-9, we will see how we should respond to this event that shifted the entire world. He is Risen!
