1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 Every New Year, many of us hang a new calendar on the wall. On this blank calendar, we make our plans and write down what we think might happen. No one, however, really knows what the future holds. One future event is certain: Christ's return. Listen as Pastor Chuck Swindoll opens God's calendar of the future. In 1 Thessalonians 4:13–18, God unveils details about the resurrection, the rapture, and our reunion with loved ones who have died. We don't know when Christ will come back, but we know He will. What a day that will be!
In 1872, President Ulysses S. Grant was stopped for recklessly driving his carriage through Washington D.C. One published account says that the officer, an African American named William West, warned Grant, “Your fast driving, sir . . . is endangering the lives of the people who have to cross the street.” Grant apologized but the next night was racing carriages again. West stopped Grant’s horses. “I am very sorry, Mr. President, to have to do it, for you are the chief of the nation and I am nothing but a policeman, but duty is duty.” West arrested the president. I admire this brave man for doing his duty. So did Grant. He praised West and made sure he kept his job. God also was pleased, for He hates the injustice of favoritism. He says, “Believers in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ must not show favoritism” (James 2:1). That includes not giving special favors to the rich and powerful, leaving only leftovers for the poor (vv. 2-4). Instead, we’re called to love our neighbor as ourselves. If we play favorites, serving our platinum club neighbors rather than the less privileged, we “sin and are convicted by the law as lawbreakers” (v. 9). God didn’t play favorites with us. He loved us when we had nothing to offer, when we were “without hope and without God in the world” (Ephesians 2:12). With His help, we can love all people equally.
In this episode, Robert Hotchkin explains why this is not a season for passive Christianity and why believers must understand Christian spiritual warfare, take authority in Christ, and actively resist the devil according to Scripture. This spiritual warfare strategy is rooted in James 4:7, which instructs believers to submit to God, resist the devil, and watch him flee. However, many Christians stop at resistance and never step fully into their spiritual authority in Christ. This teaching reveals why believers must move beyond passivity and learn how to command the enemy to flee through biblical spiritual warfare principles. In this episode, you'll learn:• What a biblical spiritual warfare strategy looks like for believers today• How Christian spiritual warfare works when authority is exercised correctly• Why resisting the devil requires action, not waiting• How to walk in authority over the enemy using Scripture• How to stop playing defense and engage in aggressive faith#spiritualwarfare #ChristianSpiritualWarfare#authorityinchrist #ResistTheDevil#kingdomauthority #propheticteaching ----------------------------------------------------------------------Thank you for listening to Robert Hotchkin on Heroes Arise! If this podcast blessed you, be sure to like, subscribe, and turn on notifications so you never miss new content that will empower you to walk in victory and release Heaven on Earth.
Tuesday, 23 December 2025 Let them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind leads the blind, both will fall into a ditch.” Matthew 15:14 “You leave them! They are blind, blind-conductors. And blind, if they should conduct, both – they will fall into a pit” (CG). In the previous verse, Jesus told His disciples that every plant His heavenly Father had not planted would be uprooted. He now says, “You leave them!” The words are imperative. Their instruction is based on corruption, not the truth. What the Father plants is truth, but the devil only sows lies, confusion, etc. To explain further, Jesus says, “They are blind, blind-conductors.” A new word is seen here, hodégos. It is from hodos, way, and hégeomai, to lead. Thus, it speaks of one who leads in the way, and thus a conductor. With the adjective blind attached to the thought, they are conductors of the blind. And yet, Jesus notes that they, too, are blind. Paul, speaking to the Jews in Romans 2, uses the opposite terminology to describe the way they felt about themselves, even though they acted contrary to their teachings – “Indeed you are called a Jew, and rest on the law, and make your boast in God, 18 and know His will, and approve the things that are excellent, being instructed out of the law, 19 and are confident that you yourself are a guide to the blind, a light to those who are in darkness, 20 an instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, having the form of knowledge and truth in the law. 21 You, therefore, who teach another, do you not teach yourself? You who preach that a man should not steal, do you steal? 22 You who say, ‘Do not commit adultery,' do you commit adultery? You who abhor idols, do you rob temples? 23 You who make your boast in the law, do you dishonor God through breaking the law? 24 For ‘the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you,' as it is written.” Romans 2:17-24 This is the attitude that Jesus rebukes in these leaders of Israel. They were blind leading blind people. It is a recipe for disaster. He next says, “And blind, if they should conduct, both – they will fall into a pit.” It is an obvious truth. When a blind person is conducted, it is where the conductor takes him. He is placing his trust in the one leading him. But if the conductor himself is blind, any step he takes could bring him to the edge of a pit. The next step will see him tumbling in along with the one he was charged to lead. Now imagine one who is willfully blind, like these leaders of Israel. They were disregarding the law and causing others who were untrained in the law to follow them – “One who turns away his ear from hearing the law, Even his prayer is an abomination. 10 Whoever causes the upright to go astray in an evil way, He himself will fall into his own pit; But the blameless will inherit good.” Proverbs 28:9, 10 Isaiah prophesied of Israel's blindness. It was a chronic condition with them – “Hear, you deaf; And look, you blind, that you may see. 19 Who is blind but My servant, Or deaf as My messenger whom I send? Who is blind as he who is perfect, And blind as the Lord's servant? 20 Seeing many things, but you do not observe; Opening the ears, but he does not hear.” Isaiah 42 Life application: Think of the variety of doctrinal disputes between Christian instructors: *Israel are God's people vs. Israel are not God's people. *The church replaced Israel vs. Israel and the church are separate entities. *Salvation is eternal vs. Salvation can be lost. *There is such a thing as the rapture. There will be a pre-trib rapture. There will be a mid-trib rapture. There will be a post-trib rapture. *The church began at Pentecost vs. the church began with Paul's conversion. *Believers are free from the law. Believers must adhere to the law. Believers are free from the civil law but are bound to the moral law. *The Sabbath must be observed. A Christian Sabbath must be observed. No Sabbath is necessary. *Bacon is bad vs. bacon is good. On and on it goes, with ten thousand points of doctrine. When a teacher is wrong in his doctrine, he is blind, at least in that area. But he is now leading others who are blind because they have never been taught to see properly. Imagine something as critical as law observance, and what Paul says about that – “But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. 9 As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.” Galatians 1:8, 9 People who teach observance of the law, the subject of Paul's letter to the Galatians, are exactly the type of people Jesus was speaking about. They are blind, and they are leading others into the same pit they are in. How can you know if you are being taught something incorrectly? The only way to even have a hint of it is by at least being aware of the source of what you are being taught. In the case of Christianity, the source is Jesus. The place to find instruction about Him is in His word. So be sure to read your Bible daily. It is important. Glorious God, wisdom is found within You. Help us to pursue You and to desire to know the truth of what Your word tells us. So many people teach so many different things. So, Lord, as we read Your word, give us sound and proper insight into what it says. Help us to be wise as we look for instructors of Your word to guide us. Amen.

Tom Lawrence always knew his calling had to do with money. Growing up in Southeast London, England, Tom convinced his parents to help him get work experience in hedge funds and investment banks at the young age of twelve. But a few years into his teens, Tom had an amazing encounter with Jesus which turned his whole perspective on life upside down. His passion for money remained, but instead of feathering his own nest, Tom began to see money in the light of funding for the Kingdom. As an adult, Tom spent about ten years as a wealth manager for private banks and wealth management organizations and his views on Kingdom finances grew and matured with him. Suddenly, Tom found himself without a job, and he soon realized that this was an opportunity to know God as Jehovah Jireh, his Provider. During this time, Tom began an intensive study of what the Bible really says about money. That journey reshaped everything—how he understands ownership, stewardship, and the call the pursue true riches. Out of that 200 hours of Bible study, Tom founded the Biblical Financial Masterclass, a 12+ hour course that helps Christians build their financial house using God's blueprint from Scripture. Now, Tom equips Believers, churches, and organizations to heal their relationships with money and to rethink their financial lives from the heart outward, grounding principles in Scripture and pointing people towards Gospel transformation. Tune in for a fantastic dive into how God's Word radically reshapes our relationship with money. Major Topics Include: Three dimensions of money and faith Biblical financial insights from 200 hours of study Commonly misunderstood money scriptures Developing his course Equipping to handle what God wants to give you Getting your heart right in relationship with money The Christian motivation for generosity What is “serving Mammon?” Peeling back the layers of Mammon in our lives The truth about extravagance in giving Challenges in engaging the local church in financial conversation QUOTES TO REMEMBER “I was just as passionate about money after I got saved and it gave me a reason why I should be rather than just feathering my nest, which was my main ambition at 13 or 14. Between 15 and 17, I began to see it as an opportunity to fund the Kingdom.” “One of the greatest things that we can do is handle money that's not ours, in line with Somebody Else's will, for Somebody Else's glory in order that it would be redeemed and bring about salvation in people's lives.” “More than 10% of the entire Bible is given over to talking about money, finances, wealth, and stuff in some form of another. And about 1 in 6 of Jesus's parables touches on it.” “Do not assume you are outside of God's will just because you're going through something difficult.” “Fundamentally, the entirety of the Bible is a display of generosity. It's a love letter to humanity from God.” “How much money is too much money? It's any amount that replaces our trust in God.” “Cheerful giving comes down to heart preparation.” “When we avoid talking about money, we are not sparing our congregations awkwardness, we are leaving a gaping hole in their discipleship.” LINKS FROM THE SHOW Biblical Financial Masterclass Stewardship (UK Ministry) The Finish Line Community Facebook Group The Finish Line Community LinkedIn Group BIBLE REFERENCES FROM THE SHOW Luke 16:1-13 | The Parable of the Dishonest Manager Haggai 2: 6-7 | The Coming Glory of the Temple For thus says the Lord of hosts: Yet once more, in a little while, I will shake the heavens and the earth and the sea and the dry land. Got a question? Let us know!Made for Mondays | The Christmas PlaylistLight That Can't Be ManufacturedThis week on Made for Mondays, Heather is joined by Jamey, Tyler, and Doug as they lean into the heart of Christmas week and unpack Sunday's message about real joy and real light—the kind that doesn't come from a playlist, a purchase, or pretending everything is fine. After some weekend catch-up and reflections from Revelation 10–15, Psalms 145–157, and Proverbs 30, the conversation turns toward a timely and honest question:✨ What's the difference between manufactured cheer and received joy?As Christmas approaches, the group reflects on the ways we often try to produce joy—through nostalgia, noise, shopping, control, or even religious performance—when what we actually need is to receive joy as the fruit of abiding in Jesus. Jamey shares how Christmas music can sometimes feel like it's trying to convince our souls everything is wonderful, even when life feels dark. The discussion explores:• Chasing a mood vs. staying close to Jesus How do we tell when we're chasing a feeling instead of abiding in Christ? The group shares honest “litmus tests” that reveal when joy has become something we're forcing rather than receiving.• Darkness and light Jamey unpacks the idea that darkness isn't a thing—it's the absence of light. Spiritually, that shifts the battle. Instead of staring at darkness, we're invited to step toward the Light. What does that look like practically? The team offers simple, doable steps—like intentional prayer, confession, community, or a single act of obedience—that help move us closer to Jesus when gloom starts creeping back in.• Shining brighter in real life Rooted in Matthew 5, the BIG IDEA comes into focus: In a world getting darker, we need to shine brighter. Not performative faith—but quiet faithfulness. Reconciliation. Costly generosity. Staying at the table with people we disagree with. The group shares real-life examples of what that kind of light looks like when it shows up in everyday moments.• Light beyond our walls The conversation connects to The Gift and Believers' partners in Cuba, highlighting how faithful believers there are shining the Light of Jesus in powerful, practical ways—and why it's such a gift to be part of what God is doing through them.• Community in the dark seasons Jamey revisits a story from one of his darkest seasons, where isolation played a central role. Doug and Tyler reflect on how deeply they relate—and why community isn't optional for spiritual health. The group also points ahead to Steps and the importance of getting connected to a small group in the New Year.Join Us This Week

Isaac Schafer shares in our series, Acts. He unpacks Acts 4:32-37 and shows how a Biblical worldview cannot align with socialism or communism, and that the testimony of the resurrection is the only way to fully surrender everything you have.
This week, we begin looking back on some of the most moving moments shared on The Voice of the Martyrs Radio in 2025: Hope & Nagy have been called by God to live in some very difficult places. They were serving Him in Libya when civil war broke out; they stayed and thrived under the Lord's protection. Then they heard the Lord call them to a new and equally-challenging land. Jerry Mattix has been banned twice from entering Türkiye, once in 2013 and again earlier this year. Jerry knows God is able to do His work among Turkish people without him in the country. Nathan and Kari were raised differently, yet the Lord called them to Himself, and to missions, together. In South Asia, they are seeing the gospel on fire, not waiting for foreign missionaries but moving forward through the gospel fervor of national Christians. John Samara knows the high cost of serving Christ in a place like Syria. He grew up there and continues to serve persecuted Christians in the Middle East and North Africa through Ananias House. Eric Mock, from Slavic Gospel Association, shares how war between Russia and Ukraine has actually accelerated SGA's ministry as they provide aid and share the gospel with hundreds of thousands of people. Teaching students in the UK and around the world, Dr. Michael Reeves has a passion for strengthening the faith of persecuted Christians in hostile and restricted nations. He served as a missionary on the border of Pakistan and Afghanistan. Ty Scott, leader of VOM's work in east and southern Africa, shares about Christians living in a country that has never been discussed on VOM Radio until this year — Comoros. He also shared how VOM handles Bible distribution in Africa. Author of the book, Inside Afghanistan, John Weaver, shares what it looks like to be a Christian in Afghanistan today. Believers must carefully plant gospel seeds and seek out people of peace. Abraham & Sara minister to Muslim refugees in the Middle East who are open to the gospel. They see the hunger to know Jesus, and the Lord is revealing Himself to these refugees through dreams, visions, and the love of Christ, as seen in the example of Abraham, Sara, and their team. After hearing these brief excerpts, you'll want to listen to the entire conversations with these guests from 2025. Click on the links below to listen at VOMRADIO.net or listen in the VOM APP. Hope & Nagy, gospel workers to Libya and the Middle East Jerry Mattix, long-time aid ministry worker and pastor in Türkiye Nathan & Kari, gospel workers in South Asia with the International Mission Board (IMB) John Samara, Founder and Executive Director of Ananias House Eric Mock, the Senior Vice President of the Slavic Gospel Association Dr. Michael Reeves, President of Union School of Theology in the United Kingdom Ty Scott, VOM's Regional Leader for East and Southern Africa John Weaver, long-time gospel worker in Afghanistan Abraham & Sara serve refugees at a church in a Middle Eastern country We thank the Lord for allowing VOM Radio to encourage and challenge listeners all over the world this year. Welcome to The Daily, where we study the Bible verse by verse, chapter by chapter, every day. Read more about Project23 and partner with us as we teach every verse of the Bible on video. Our text today is Judges 17:13. "Then Micah said, 'Now I know that the Lord will prosper me, because I have a Levite as priest.'" — Judges 17:13 Micah's homemade religion is now complete. He's got a shrine, a priest, and a title. And now—he's got confidence. "Now I know," he says, "the Lord will prosper me." But it's all fake. Fake priest. Fake faith. Fake confidence. Micah believes he's in God's favor simply because everything looks right. But this is the final stage of spiritual delusion: when you mistake comfort for confirmation. He assumes that because his setup feels spiritual, it must be spiritual. That's what happens when religion becomes self-made—you start measuring faith by your feelings instead of His truth. This is the heart of counterfeit Christianity today. People claim assurance, quote Scripture out of context, or redefine sin, all while drifting further from God's Word. They've built a religion that feels peaceful because it never confronts them. And the more they say "God told me," the less they actually listen to what God already said. Micah's confidence wasn't rooted in Scripture—it was rooted in self-deception. And that's what makes this so dangerous. You can be completely convinced you're right with God and still be miles from Him if your faith isn't built on truth. We also see this in the church. Whole movements chase emotional experiences but ignore biblical obedience. Believers trust in positive feelings, prosperity, or political comfort instead of God's holiness. It's the American version of Micah's religion—comfort without conviction, blessing without obedience, and faith without truth. False confidence always feels strong—right up until the truth tests it. So here's the question I would present to you: Is your confidence based on God's Word—or your own worldview? ASK THIS: Where are you mistaking spiritual comfort for spiritual confirmation? What beliefs or habits have you justified that don't line up with God's Word? Have you built confidence on truth—or convenience? How can you anchor your assurance in Scripture instead of emotion? DO THIS: Take a truth inventory: what do you believe that's not clearly rooted in Scripture? Replace assumptions with alignment—submit your confidence to God's Word. Pray for humility to let God's truth confront your comfort. PRAY THIS: Father, I don't want false confidence. Expose any lie I've believed about You or about myself. Anchor my assurance in Your truth—not in feelings, comfort, or imitation faith. Amen. PLAY THIS: "Build My Life."

Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints says Psalm 116. We mourn when fellow believers pass away, but we do not sorrow as those who have no hope because we know our brothers and sisters in the faith have gone to be with the Lord. Marketed as an objective report, the article instead exposes a familiar assumption: Christian beliefs are inherently biased and therefore unwelcome in the public square, while non-Christian belief systems are presumed neutral and free to shape law, culture, and power. After the news, Luke Niforatos of Smart Approaches to Marijuana exposes what’s really happening behind the scenes with legalized marijuana. An early Christmas gift to Big Weed, President Trump's executive order hands the marijuana industry a massive $2 billion tax break, turbocharges advertising to kids, and further normalizes a drug that is more potent, more addictive, and more destructive than most Americans realize. The conversation is a glaring reminder that policies shape behavior. Christians cannot afford to sit this one out while the profit-driven drug industry destroys America. More About Luke Niforatos Luke Niforatos serves as the Executive Vice President of Smart Approaches to Marijuana (SAM) and is widely recognized as one of the nation’s leading drug policy experts. Leveraging more than a decade working on drug, addiction and health care issues, Luke drives the strategy behind SAM’s federal, state, and educational initiatives. Luke has testified in state capitols across America. He is a sought-after guest on major media outlets, including ABC, Fox News, NBC, CNBC, CSPAN, Newsmax, and network affiliates, as well as syndicated and local radio shows in markets coast to coast. Luke has been featured in Time Magazine and as a speaker at drug policy events held by The Economist, the United Nations’ Commission on Narcotic Drugs, and hundreds of town halls. Prior to joining SAM, he was the co-founder of a successful healthcare company. Luke attended the University of Denver and has a Master of Arts from Johns Hopkins University. He is currently a J.D. Candidate at the University of Denver – Sturm College of Law. Want to Go Deeper? Early-bird ticket sales are still available for the 2026 Essential Summit! Sermon Summary – Joshua Session 10 This sermon centers on endurance, faithfulness, and staying fully committed to God's calling, using Caleb as the primary example of a believer who refused to quit despite time, opposition, and hardship. 1. Salvation and Endurance Matter Most The message opens by reminding believers that nothing is more important than salvation, and that true faith is proven by endurance over time. The mark of a genuine believer is not perfection, but perseverance—continuing in faith until the end. 2. Caleb: Faith That Outlasts Time Caleb stands as a model of unwavering faith. Though 85 years old, he still trusts God's promise made 45 years earlier. He does not ask for comfort or ease but boldly requests the mountain still occupied by giants, declaring that God is able. Faith means believing God's Word over what the eyes can see. Caleb's strength came from obedience and trust, not age or circumstances. 3. Courage to Believe What God Can Do Joshua and Caleb were willing to say what God can do, not what He can't do. The sermon challenges believers to resist a faith that limits God and instead trust His power to heal, deliver, and save—just as He always has. 4. Blessing Passes Through Generations Faithfulness does not end with one person—it impacts generations. Caleb's obedience brought blessing to his descendants. Likewise, believers today are setting the spiritual direction of future generations by staying committed to the journey. 5. The Danger of Compromise and Sluggishness As Israel settles into blessing, some tribes fail to fully drive out their enemies. This partial obedience leads to compromise, spiritual sluggishness, and influence from ungodly relationships. God does not remove what we choose to tolerate. Compromise gives the enemy access and influence. 6. The Importance of Being “In Place” God's protection and provision are tied to obedience and staying where He places us. Leaving God's will—even for seemingly wise reasons—brings loss, as illustrated through biblical examples like Naomi's family and Abraham's detour into Egypt. 7. Set Your Heart on the Journey The sermon closes with Psalm 84:5: “Blessed is the man whose strength is in You, whose heart is set on pilgrimage.” Believers are called to be all in—committed to the journey regardless of hardship, offense, or opposition. Those who refuse to be denied by fear, difficulty, or distraction will inherit the promises of God. Key Theme Faithfulness over time brings inheritance, influence, and generational blessing. Set your heart on the journey and refuse to quit.
There are a lot of reasons folks find to celebrate during the Christmas season. Believers know that the incarnation is at the heart of the celebration. But is there even more that we can lean into to fuel this celebration? We'll go for further understanding of the roots of the season in this study.John 6:35
Believers may run to God, seeking the power of his Spirit, but for many the answer lies in simple obedience.Subscribe to daily devotions e-mails: https://wcm.link/ddsub
James 1:13–27 teaches that God is never the source of temptation; temptation arises from human desire and leads to sin and death. God, by contrast, is the unchanging giver of every good gift and brings new life through the word of truth. Believers are called to receive this implanted word with humility, responding not as mere hearers but as doers. True faith is demonstrated through obedient action, self-control, compassion toward the vulnerable, and moral purity from worldly corruption—this is what constitutes genuine religion before God.Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/lets-talk-scripture/donations

Mark Clifton and Mark Hallock talk about how to leave a church well—in a way that honors Christ, loves His people, and protects your own spiritual health. Drawing from H.B. Charles Jr.'s article, “When It's Time to Leave a Church,” they walk through practical steps for transitioning from one church to another with humility and integrity. In this episode, they unpack 7 ways to leave a church in a healthy, biblical way: 1. Pray Seek the Lord earnestly before making any decisions. Ask for wisdom, clarity, and a heart that desires God's glory above your preferences. 2. Examine your motives Be honest about why you want to leave. Evaluate whether your reasons are rooted in conviction, calling, or frustration and hurt. 3. Review the commitments you've made Remember membership vows, ministry roles, and responsibilities. Think carefully about how to finish well and hand off your areas of service. 4. Deal with unresolved interpersonal conflict Don't use a church transfer to avoid biblical reconciliation. Whenever possible, seek peace, forgiveness, and restored relationships before you go. 5. Consider how your departure will affect others Reflect on how your decision impacts your family, friends, small group, and church leaders. Aim to leave in a way that builds up the church rather than causing division or confusion. 6. Know where you're going before you leave Don't drift into churchlessness. Identify another faithful, gospel-preaching church where you can plug in, submit to leadership, and serve. 7. Have an honest exit conversation with your pastor Meet with your pastor or elders to share your decision respectfully. Express gratitude, share concerns graciously, and invite them to pray for you as you transition. This episode is especially helpful for: Believers wondering how to leave a church well Members processing a potential church transition Pastors and leaders shepherding people through church moves Resources Mentioned in This Episode: “When It's Time to Leave a Church” by HB Charles Listen in for pastoral, practical guidance on leaving a church biblically, guarding unity, and honoring Christ and His bride even in seasons of transition.
You can watch this podcast episode on YouTube by clicking hereIn this episode, we will explore some foundational but deeply misunderstood questions: What is the Hebrew definition of “obey?”What does it actually mean to “keep” or “break” the commandments? How did the original Hebrew audience understand obedience, law, covenant, and faith—long before Western theology reshaped those ideas? This episode will challenge modern Christian assumptions by calling us to deconstruct inherited paradigms and return to a Hebraic understanding of Scripture, language, and covenant. The goal is not to burden Believers with rules, but to restore clarity about the heart of the Father and the true nature of the gospel that we are called to “carry to the ends of the earth.”The ultimate goal of this episode is to reframe the biblical definition of obedience in a way that reveals the HEART of the Father. You might be surprised when you learn that the biblical definition of obedience isn't “do” – it's “listen.” This episode will restore the depth of crucial Hebrew concepts:Shema (often translated “obey”) means to hear, listen, internalize, and respond appropriately.Shamar (often translated as “keep”) means to guard, protect, and watch over.Parar (often translated as “break”) means to trample, disregard, or nullify“Keeping” the commandments is not about flawless performance, but about guarding the Father's word with a faithful, responsive heart. Likewise, “breaking” the commandments is not about imperfection, but about contempt—casting them behind one's back and disregarding them. The gospel isn't about “getting saved.” It's about learning how to hear the Father, walk in covenant and guard what He loves. Salvation is the door that begins the lifelong journey of learning how to be a covenant people—a “treasured possession” who listens to the Father's voice with a desire to bring Him the glory and honor He is due. This restores peace, removes fear-driven theology of making things a “salvation issue,” and reframes the Believer's walk as a journey of learning and intimacy, not simply a list of “do's and don'ts.” I pray that if you listen to this episode, your heart is filled with joy and excitement as an invitation gets poured into your heart--an invitation that you may have never heard before. The invitation is simple: “SHEMA.” That's it. To simply “listen.”I pray that this episode helps someone who may be wrestling with obedience, faith, or the purpose of the Father's commandments. I pray that it encourages and equips you to understand that obedience isn't just about “doing,” it's about listening first. So take this as an invitation to slow down. Read the Bible without commentary. Stop listening to men to teach you the Father's heart and go straight to the Source.Contact me: stephanie@promise-perspective.comVisit my website: www.promise-perspective.com Support the show
Welcome to The Daily, where we study the Bible verse by verse, chapter by chapter, every day. Read more about Project23 and partner with us as we teach every verse of the Bible on video. Our text today is Judges 17:10-11. "And Micah said to him, 'Stay with me, and be to me a father and a priest, and I will give you ten pieces of silver a year and a suit of clothes and your living.' And the Levite went in. And the Levite was content to dwell with the man, and the young man became to him like one of his sons." — Judges 17:10-11 Micah's religion has now become a business deal. He hires the Levite—ten pieces of silver a year, new clothes, free housing. It's faith on payroll. What began as borrowed faith has now turned into bought faith. Micah thinks that by hiring a holy man, he can buy holy favor. It's spiritual consumerism—the idea that God's presence can be purchased if we just find the right people, say the right words, or make the right donation. But you can't buy what only grace can give. Micah wanted divine legitimacy without surrendering to the divine. He didn't want to be changed; he wanted to feel covered. He didn't want the presence of God; he wanted the appearance of blessing. So he threw money at religion like it was a spiritual vending machine. And before we judge Micah, we should ask—do we do the same? We start thinking that giving more, serving harder, or knowing the right people will earn God's favor. We assume that being around "spiritual" people makes us spiritual too. But that's not faith—that's a transaction. We see it everywhere: churches chasing charisma over conviction, money over mission, platforms over prayer. Believers often confuse activity with intimacy, assuming that attendance or effort earns them grace points with God. But God's presence isn't for sale. His power isn't a product. His favor doesn't run on contract—it runs on covenant. Micah missed that entirely. He thought hiring a priest made him holy, but all he did was build a payroll for pride. He tried to control what could only be received. That's the trap of bought faith—it turns worship into work and relationship into ritual. It trades intimacy for image. It pays for what's already been purchased—by the blood of Jesus. The gospel flips that thinking: you can't buy God's presence, but you can surrender to it. You can't earn grace, but you can receive it. So receive it today. And stop trying to earn it. ASK THIS: Where are you trying to earn what God already offers freely? Have you ever mistaken spiritual activity for intimacy with God? What do you rely on more—God's grace or your own performance? How can you rest in the truth that grace is received, not achieved? DO THIS: Take inventory of where you've been "performing" for God instead of walking with Him. Stop treating faith like a transaction—spend time with God without an agenda today. Thank God for his grace today. PRAY THIS: Father, thank You that grace can't be bought or earned. Forgive me for trying to perform my way into Your favor. Teach me to receive Your presence as a gift, not a payment. Amen. PLAY THIS: "Grace Alone."

Episode 25:51 The TWO Bible Verses That Hold The KEY To Healing Back when I was a teenager I asked God the following question: "God, if you're so great… and I know that you are… why are those who believe in you just as sick as those who don't?" I wasn't asking out of rebellion, I was asking out of pure curiosity. Believe it or not, God answered me. Yes, in my mind I heard God respond to me through a verse of scripture. A scripture that revealed what the problem was… why Believers were just as sick as non-believers. I was amazed… but I was also confused. Confused because knowing WHY people who believe in God are just as sick as those who don't led to another question: "What's the solution?" That is, what do we as Believers need to do in order to correct the problem that makes us just as sick as non-believers? This time I didn't get an answer. Well, at least not right away. It took many years but finally I heard from God. Finally I received a scripture that contained the solution. Want to know what it is? You can… by listening to this episode. Specifically, on this episode I share the scripture that reveals why people who believe in God are just as sick as those who don't… and the scripture that reveals what we can to correct it. It's a great episode, especially if you're someone who believes that God is still in the healing business. Give this episode a good listen and then share it with your friends. ⭐The world is changing rapidly, and for Christians, the pressure is no longer subtle. From violent persecution overseas to growing hostility toward biblical truth in the West. Believers are facing unprecedented challenges both outside and inside the Church.Video version available on (5) video platforms and accessible at https://www.lastchristian.net immediately upon Release at 9:00pm ET/8:00pm CTIn this powerful and timely episode of The Last Christian Radio Show, Revelation Radio Founder JD Williams and Rev. David Paxton break down the four biggest news stories confronting Christians today. Stories the mainstream media either ignores, distorts, or deliberately silences. This broadcast confronts the global persecution of Christians that continues to escalate with little international response. It exposes the rising tide of antisemitism and the growing push, both political and theological for Christians to abandon God's covenant promises to Israel. It examines the accelerating censorship of Christian voices, as biblical truth is increasingly labeled “dangerous” or “hateful” in a culture that celebrates deception. And finally, it delivers a sobering but necessary warning about compromise, apostasy, and false teaching within the modern Church itself. This is not speculation. This is not theory. This is biblical prophecy colliding with today's headlines.Drawing directly from Scripture, historical precedent, and current global developments, JD Williams and Rev. David Paxton call believers to spiritual discernment, courage, and unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. This episode challenges Christians to recognize the signs of the times, to stand firm in truth, and to refuse conformity to a culture that is increasingly hostile to the Gospel. If you are searching for clear, unfiltered analysis from a Conservative Evangelical Christian perspective, rooted firmly in the authority of God's Word and unapologetically pro-Bible and pro-Israel, this episode is essential listening. The battle lines are drawn. The cost of faith is rising. And the hour is late. For more information or to support our ministry please visit https://www.lastchristian.net/
In this profound end-time teaching, Pastor Olubi Johnson reveals God's prophetic agenda for the triumphant Church—a generation called not only to perfection, but to authority over death, invincibility, and readiness for the rapture. This message begins by reaffirming God's unchanging sovereignty: El-Shaddai still performs miracles beyond human limitation, and everything written in Scripture will be fulfilled—including miraculous births and supernatural interventions in impossible situations. Pastor Olubi stresses that in these perilous times, spiritual readiness outweighs procreation. Believers must ensure they possess the spiritual resources needed to raise children of destiny under divine covering. He teaches that spiritual preparation, not fear, determines whether children become arrows in God's hand or casualties of the age. A central theme of this teaching is the believer's authority over death. Like Paul, every believer should aim to choose the time of their departure, finishing their God-ordained course rather than being cut down by the enemy. Achieving this requires a mindset where “to live is Christ,” free from excessive attachment to material things, comfort, or even life itself. Pastor Olubi warns that glory attracts persecution, particularly when believers confront systems of darkness and political powers. Yet God promises divine defense, invincibility, and preservation for those who dwell in the secret place. The terminal generation is destined to be alive and remain until the coming of the Lord, escaping premature death through continuous watching and praying. The message concludes with a call to pursue perfection, deepen love, and walk closely with God—standing upon the spiritual foundations that enabled Enoch, Paul, and John to live as overcomers. The goal is clear: finish your course with confidence, inherit the crown of righteousness, and manifest the glory of God in the land of the living. You can follow Pastor Olubi Johnson on X, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. You can also check out our Website.
Mark Clifton and Mark Hallock walk through bad and good reasons to leave a church, drawing from H.B. Charles Jr.'s article, “When It's Time to Leave a Church.” If you're wrestling with whether to stay or go, this episode will help you think biblically and wisely about church membership, commitment, and discernment. They explore “red light” reasons not to leave a church (bad reasons): Sin: leaving instead of repenting or reconciling. Disagreements over secondary doctrinal issues: elevating non-essential issues to a breaking point. Disunity: walking away rather than pursuing peace and unity in Christ. Personal offenses: allowing hurt feelings or misunderstandings to drive decisions. Unwillingness to submit to spiritual authority: resisting God-given leadership rather than humbly engaging. A low view of the church: treating church as optional, consumer-based, or disposable. Disregard for the truth: leaving when God's Word confronts your preferences or lifestyle. They also talk about “green light” reasons that may indicate it's time to leave a church (good reasons): A gospel reason: the church no longer clearly preaches or guards the gospel of Jesus Christ. A doctrinal reason: the church drifts into serious theological error or abandons biblical authority. A personal reason: unique circumstances such as relocation, calling, or family needs that make joining another faithful church wise. This episode is especially helpful for: Believers struggling with whether to leave a church Pastors and elders helping members process church transitions Christians wanting a more biblical view of church membership and commitment Resources Mentioned in This Episode: “When It's Time to Leave a Church” by HB Charles Listen in for a pastoral, gospel-centered conversation on leaving a church wisely, staying for the right reasons, and loving Christ's bride well.

From verses 11-24 we are shown that how we behave towards our brethren demonstrates our parentage. Do we live a live congruent with our claims? The gospel of John shows how our frequently repeated the words of our Lord Jesus Christ reveal this truth. The motive for the first murder in the Bible was envy progressing into hate. We must always attribute the best motives to our brethren. Slandering, or belittling, others incurs the displeasure of our Father. Cain was banished from God's presence and separated from the hope of a life with the Father. Yahweh sent His Son to lay down his own precious life to bring us into fellowship. Though we may have many a doubt (because we are weak humans) the LORD knows our motives, better than we can understand them ourselves (1 Corinthians 4verses1-5). Our Father is ready, willing and able to lovingly respond to our needs and requests (see Romans 8verses28-39). Chapter 4 commences with the need to test whether the teachings - i.e. this is also a testing of the teachers - are true ("try the spirits"), and from God. John in chapter 2 has already told his readers that the errors of the antichrist were active among the community of the disciples. One of the prime identifying features would be the belief in the Trinity, which originated in catechism 312 AD (having been debated by believers for decades prior to endorsing that view. The acceptance that the Lord Jesus Christ was part of a triune God is completely counter to the entire teaching of the Scriptures (even the Encyclopaedia Britannica admits this in its article on the Trinity). Jesus was completely a man, even though he was the Son of God. John 1verses1-18 tell us his beginnings were when he was born (compare Acts 10verses38-43). Jesus came in the flesh (Hebrews 2verses8-18) and this was the only understanding of the first century community of faithful believers (read "The Apostles' Creed"). Believers need to listen to God and His Word, not human speculations from false teachers. From verses 7-21 we are further told how "God is love". When we love each other with a true heart and fervently it is a witness that we are God's children. The Father's love in redeeming an erring race has been seen from the time of Creation. Its pinnacle was reached in the sending of His Son to provide a ransom for us. Our Lord was able to comply with His Father's will because of their unity of love and purpose in providing a place for our acceptance on the basis of Truth believed and sins forgiven. An understanding of this and a life lived sacrificially in love and service is the only life a disciple can live.Anything else is nothing but a hypocritical lie. Thanks for joining us - we pray you found these comments helpful in your appreciation of God's words, join again tomorrow
Christians who wish to live a godly life and maintain a clear witness in this world will be persecuted. While the pursuit of comfort and safety is wholly incompatible with the righteous suffering exemplified for us by Jesus Christ, the perseverance of believers under persecution has an enormous impact on a watching world.Earthly safety and comfort are not Christ's goals for your life, they are Satan's.The suffering of Christians for their righteous life and uncompromising witness is the most powerful testimony to the truth of the Gospel.Questions:1. Have you ever been persecuted for your faith in Christ? If not, why do you suppose that is?2. Since Jesus suffered for us on the cross, why is it also necessary for us to suffer in faithfulness to his example?3. Believers and unbelievers alike may face unjust suffering. How should the Christian response to suffering differ from that of the non-Christian?4. How is it possible for us to ‘die to sin and live to righteousness?'5. How can you demonstrate from Scripture that Jesus is the Shepherd of our souls? What other Bible passages would you consult?

Everyone knows the name "Christian," but where was it first used? Believers were first called Christians in a sophisticated, tolerant, and corrupt city; a business power where all the wealth of the East passed through on its way to Rome, Antioch in Syria. There Barnabas saw what God was doing and introduced Paul to the church. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/81/29?v=20251111

Romans 8:34 — Jesus Christ is seated at the right hand of God the Father. Yet how does this demonstrate the final perseverance of the saints and serve as an assurance of salvation? In this sermon from Romans 8:34 titled “Christ's Work Complete,” Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones explains that Paul is discussing the doctrine of the final perseverance; if one has been justified, they will also be glorified. Nothing can ever take that away from a believer and there is no such thing as falling away from grace. Christ seated next to the Father means that He is the Christian's high priest. He intercedes on their behalf, showing just how much of a compassionate and caring God He is. This also means that Christ has perfected all who have been sanctified once and forever and because this work is done, that means He is able to sit. The final end to all of Christ's work is the salvation of His people. A believer can be assured of their salvation because God the Father has accepted the Son's sacrifice and gives His Son a place of dignity at His right hand. Believers shall then lack nothing that is essential to their final sanctification and glorification. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/603/29?v=20251111
Let's think about something deep today:What is the endgame? In this context, we're talking about what comes after this life we are living now. Believers of course, look forward to an eternity with the Living God. And even unbelievers wonder about what comes next after you draw your last breath. It's the most important element in our discussion this week.Romans 5:3–4 says, “Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.”Like snowflakes and other beauty in nature, no two lives are alike. Each of us is unique. God made us that way. The Psalmist said that you are fearfully and wonderfully made! And in your unique life, you face singular challenges. If you believe in Christ, you are well aware that in this life there is pain, and struggle, and obstacles. But all through Scripture, the Lord lovingly reminds us that He is always with us, and when we pass to the next life, He has prepared a wonderful future for us. One that will never end and will never be tainted by sin.If you endure in your faith, that is what is waiting for you. Think about that today!Let's pray. Lord, your Word tells us that eternity is joy beyond our understanding now. All glory belongs to you. In Jesus' name, amen. Change your shirt, and you can change the world! Believers have been made right with God. He sees us as righteous not because of anything good we have done, but because of what Jesus did and our faith in that. This is a significant departure from Old-Testament law, which demanded strict obedience and constant self-effort to earn righteousness. Our right-standing with God is the result of being born again; at that point, He immediately saw us as holy, perfect, and redeemed. This stance in Christ is permanent and independent of our behavior, which reflects our continually transforming state on our Christian journey; God will continue to work in us until our state eventually evolves to meet our stance.
