This Sunday Worship Episode features one of Reverend and Dean Bernard Richardson's prayer from Rankin Memorial Chapel.
In week 3 of our Let Us Pray series we ask the question: Why does God answer prayer? Is the answer our ability to pray well? Or perhaps our goodness and character? The basis for answered prayer is the goodness of God not humans. In todays message we learn about the attributes of God through the names that God is known by and we do so using a famous and poetic psalm. Psalm 23 helps us to see eight attributes of God that we can pray through which focuses our prayer on the goodness of God toward each of us. Let us pray the prayer of Jabez today! Who is Jabez? We only read about him once in the Bible as he prays a bold and powerful prayer to God. Jabez whose name means pain chooses to look to God and not his past pains. He refuses to take on the labels other people place on him. Instead Jabez prays to God saying God to bless me, expand my territory (influence). He says Lord let your hand (presence and power) be with me and keep me from harm and pain. The Bibles tells us that God answered his prayer. We encourage you today in whatever area of your life or as a whole that you need help/expansion/presence and protection from pain, pray the prayer of Jabez and open your heart to the presence of God who wants to interact with you and to answer your prayer. To support the ministry of Melbourne Inclusive Church go to: www.michurch.org.au/giveMelbourne Inclusive Church boldly and proudly proclaims Christ's equal love for all people regardless of their ability, socio-economic status, sexual orientation, age, gender, race, ethnicity, or culture.Melbourne Inclusive Church is part of the EMI Global family of churches.
Prayer is about relationship with our Creator, the one who holds our lives in the palm of their hand and wants to spend time with us. Sadly, many people see prayer as a chore, a time-consuming activity that we do when it's convenient. Prayer is seen as what we do when we want God to heal us, to provide for us, to overcome our challenges and change our communities. But prayer is connection. We pray to God, through Christ our High Priest with the assistance of Holy Spirit. Prayer is about presence and in God's presence our needs are met. So let us enter into the presence of God through prayer, and spend time with God to discuss every aspect of our lives for God cares about us.To support the ministry of Melbourne Inclusive Church go to: www.michurch.org.au/giveMelbourne Inclusive Church boldly and proudly proclaims Christ's equal love for all people regardless of their ability, socio-economic status, sexual orientation, age, gender, race, ethnicity, or culture.Melbourne Inclusive Church is part of the EMI Global family of churches.

Pastor Abram DePrang concludes our Let Us Pray series by showing us how easy it is to live unaware of a deeper spiritual sickness—one masked by strength, performance, or outward appearances. But Jesus—our Great Physician—doesn't just treat our symptoms, He heals us from the inside out.

Your comments are welcome! Send a text my way!Our National Day of Prayer is here on May 1, 2025! It is time once again for Christians to take part in this special annual event that calls for us to take time to pray for our nation, the church, our government, our society, our leadership across this nation, for peace in our world, and for a revival that brings repentance and biblical spiritual renewal to our land. Certainly our prayer needs are great in these times. We live in a world that often seems dangerous, which requires the need for us to stand in the gap - the spiritual gap - and call upon our God to bring us back to His will and ways. This episode of 2Days Denarius celebrates the history of the National Day of Prayer, along with providing three prayers (including one from the late great Evangelist, Billy Graham. These prayers may serve as a guide or encourage direct participation for those who listen, or those who desire guidance on what to pray for. There is strength in numbers when God's people pray together! Join in with millions of other Americans on Thursday, May 1, 2025 in our annual concert of prayer! * Two corrections are added here: 1) President Ronald Reagan signed his first proclamation for the National Day of Prayer in 1983. 2) Congress approved the National Day of Prayer to be observed on May 1 annually on the first Thursday in May, which was signed into law by President Reagan, in 1988.2Days Denarius is a Bible believing teaching ministry devoted to the inerrancy, infallibility, and authority of Scripture as our only rule of faith and practice. It also holds to the doctrinal tenets of the London Baptist confession of 1689. This year, local students lobbied Connecticut lawmakers to change our state insect, which is currently the praying mantis. This hour, we are focused on the praying mantis. We learn about the insect, why students think it should not represent the state, and what praying mantises of the future could look like.
