Christ doesn't need your help in establishing His authority, He already has it. That's not the role that you've been called to!"

The question to Mary and Martha is just as applicable today as it was back then, "Why do you seek the living among the dead?"

The same question that Martha had to answer from Jesus is still the same one that we face today, "Do you believe this?"

No matter where you go or how old you get one thing remains constant, difficulty and hard circumstances are going to be present. The encouraging thing is that those circumstances are present to accomplish something in your life.

Temptation is something that all who belong to Christ must deal with. It is a great blessing to know that we don't deal with it alone, Christ is there to strengthen us.

Every year millions of people make a list of things they are resolving to do better for the coming year. But every year most, if not all, of those who started out determined to do better end up failing. Why? We end up breaking our resolutions because we have resolved to do the wrong thing. We have resolved to deal with the fruit from our problems instead of dealing with the root of our problems. In this sermon, Pastor Chris shares that there is one thing we can resolve to do over the coming year that will absolutely change our lives for the better.

There is a desire burning in all of us. There is a common bond we all share. We've seen it in the recent events in Ferguson. We've seen it in the outbreak of the Ebola virus. We've seen it in the radical movements of ISIS. We see it on our streets and on our televisions. There is a burning desire in all of us to be a part of something bigger than ourselves, to contribute to something that will last much longer than we will. God made us this way so that we would be committed to His purposes and committed to establishing His Kingdom. The question is, how do we do it?

The book of Acts is the story of God's people aflame for God's Work. May we, through our study of the Scriptures, become as passionate about the Gospel as the Apostles and people of God in the book of Acts.
