Too often, political and/or religious ideologies stop open dialog. It’s time to speak freely and break down the barriers that keep people separated. Let\'s have an inappropriate conversation about …
I'm posting this on the Friday before a national holiday in the United States, thinking about "casual Friday" vibes. Perhaps a day like this might start with a team-building meeting, where one leader in the organization takes a turn sharing his story with everyone -- or everyone not taking vacation -- with the intent to drive commitment to our values and maybe answer questions from the room. It's not easy being green. Different Drummer: Colleen Camp

“I questioned the faithful of all communions; I particularly sought the society of clergymen, who are the depositaries of the various creeds and have a personal interest in their survival. As a practicing Catholic I was particularly close to the Catholic priests, with some of whom I soon established a certain intimacy. I expressed my astonishment and revealed my doubts to each of them; I found that they all agreed with each other except about details; all thought that the main reason for the quiet sway of religion over their country was the complete separation of church and state. I honestly could describe this as a re-blogging, or re-broadcasting, of someone else's podcast. Except for the occasional clip in compilation shows, I've never done this before. My friend Tom (The Ramble Redhead) died this month. Cancer took him quickly, and it was a shock to those who knew him and loved him. Wanting to hear his voice again and knowing his podcast was no longer available online, I went to my personal archives. Past Ramble Redhead shows included interviews with Taylor from Pod Is My Copilot, Christina from Greetings From Nowhere, Toppie from The Smellcast, Margaret Cho, and more -- including me. The majority of this Inappropriate Conversations podcast is sharing Tom's interview with me from September 2015. Those of us who knew Tom will never forget the redhead from Indiana who loved us all.
