Today we chat about our daily self-care practices, we chat about shame and our inner child & how to navigate the doctors office and set personal boundaries.
This week we chat about emotions and how we are often conditioned to numb out, distract from or suppress our emotions & how this impacts our relationship with food.
This week we talk about how to overcome bad body image days & how sometimes we have impostor syndrome!
We chat about raising intuitive eaters & how our children often teach us so much about how to listen and respond to our bodies individual needs.
This week we chat about finding intuitive movement & the difference it makes in your life to find movement that feels good in YOUR body as opposed to using it as a form of punishment or to earn or burn your food.
We talk about how we always believed that if we had unconditional permission to eat all foods that we would eat ALL the food ALL the time. Turns out this is how diet culture has conditioned us to believe that we can't trust our bodies. Interestingly, when you're allowed eat whatever you want, the pull towards previously forbidden foods dissipates.
We probably should have done this podcast before the 'where do I start?' episode but we're learning as we go along! Today we chat all about what IE is & what it is not!
We chatted about our inner dialogue and how our thoughts influence our behaviours & feelings about food and our body.
We chat about how to get started on your intuitive eating journey and mention lots of great resources that'll support you along the way!
We share our personal experience of over two decades dieting and what that cost us mentally, emotionally, physically & financially.
