This week, I am welcoming Stefanie Broes, the co-founder of Moonbird, a health tech start-up active in the well-being space. Moonbird is the world's first handheld breath pacer and is all about making breathwork accessible to let people live healthier and happier lives. The product is used to decrease stress, manage anxiety, and combat sleeping problems. Stefanie has a medical background, a PhD in pharmaceutical sciences, and a master's in IP and data protection law. Before starting Moonbird she worked in two other start-up companies. When she discovered the effectiveness of breathing exercises to tackle her own sleeping issues, she submerged herself in the matter. Moonbird originated in Belgium, as the brainchild of Stefanie and Michael Broes, a brother and sister duo. When Stefanie suffered from sleeping problems, she tried breathwork but struggled to keep her focus on the breath. Moonbird is based on the calming power of affective touch. This refers to the slow, soft physical contact that, as social mammals, we're pre-wired to find soothing. This revolutionary tool guides you intuitively, helping you to breathe slowly. Simply hold moonbird in your hand, and sync your breathing to the device: inhale when it expands, exhale when it deflates. A friend sent me a cryptic text message after she had a psychic reading and said we needed to talk. We met at a tattoo shop, and she told me the psychic said I would know what to say. That conversation cracked open a big aha about how subtle intuitive knowings can be, and how easy it is to miss them. My friend just turned 40 and is finally choosing to listen, so we walk through what that looks like in real life for her. I also revisit two important stories: the peanut butter story and the car accident story, as a reminder to listen your intuition the first time, don't wait for the shoe to drop. Press play to hear what happened at the tattoo shop, how to spot the small signs you are already getting, and why I decided to book a reading with this psychic to see what I think about the person who sent my friend to me! Self-betrayal starts in childhood when trauma teaches you to ignore what your gut is telling you and go straight into overthinking mode just to survive. Your intuition isn't something you think about - it's something you feel deep in your center, quiet and calm, while anxiety creates this crazy mental chaos that spins you out. As kids, trauma survivors had to shut down their inner knowing to avoid getting hurt worse, which creates these lifelong habits of people-pleasing and abandoning yourself. Healing is about giving yourself permission to trust your gut again and act on it, even when it makes other people uncomfortable. You need safe relationships to help your intuition grow back - toxic people just shut it down. Trauma also disconnects you from your body, which is actually a huge part of how you receive intuitive messages. Good boundaries keep the drama out so you can actually hear what your inner wisdom is trying to tell you.

Some call it the Dragonfly's Dream, I once received this prophecy as the Dragon's Song.. In Human Design we call it the transition between the Cross of Planning to the Cross of the Sleeping Phoenix. You may hear it referred to as the mutation of the 55th Gene Key, or the beginning of the new human..All of these point to a transition that we are currently moving into as humanity approaches 2027. And that's not to say that this particular year will be the one that changes everything, but more so- this is a light being shined on the fact that we are living in unprecedented times. And that the world we were born into will look very different then when we choose to leave. In this episode- I'm weaving the prophecies together; what I've heard from these systems, and what I've intuited myself about where we are going as a species. We will no longer be held up by the background frequency of big systemic programs- now each individual will be tasked (has already been tasked) with their own divine mission and individuation journey to wake ourselves up inside of the old program and become witness to the new human that is awakening through our unique bodies.I hope you enjoy this episode- it felt like the exact right time to share it with you all, and I'd love to hear if it resonates with you. Your intuition is like a muscle. The more you trust and use it, the stronger it becomes. Developing your spiritual gifts begins with awareness: slowing down, listening deeply, and honoring the subtle nudges that guide you. These gifts are not reserved for a select few; they are within all of us, waiting to be remembered. […] The post Developing Your Intuitive and Spiritual Gifts appeared first on Essence of Being.

Find yourself doing well with your eating during the week, only to end up bingeing on the weekends? Here's the fix. Let's face it, whether you're on a diet, or you've been doing intuitive eating (or you're somewhere in between), weekends are harder with food. There are social events, dinners out, cocktails, tailgates, bridal showers, your kids' sporting events, and so many things that can throw you off your normal eating routine…and lead to a binge…on the weekends. In this episode, I'm giving you real, simple, and doable ways to stop the weekend binges, so that your weekend eating can be enjoyable, balanced and easy. These aren't going to be time-consuming things like meal prepping or journaling a novel. Instead, they're mental reframes, anchor points, and strategies that will keep you connected with your body (rather than off the rails with food). I also talk about something that might sound counter-intuitive…why menu planning for your entire week at a time might just be the most powerful way to cut down on the weekend binges, allow yourself to eat all the foods you love (not just on the weekend but during the week as well), and to still include things like veggies, fiber and protein on the weekends so that your body is getting the consistent nourishment it needs. (And trust me, you're still going to be able to enjoy weekends full of dinners out with your girlfriends, cake at weddings, brunch, and your favorite adult beverages - without guilt, and without going overboard.) Christian Body Image: A Biblical Guide to Embracing Your God-Given Body at Every Stage of Life Keywords: Christian body image, Biblical body image study, Christian women body image, faith-based body positivity, Psalm 139:14, postpartum body image Christian, aging gracefully Christian, Christian wellness Introduction: Biblical Body Image for Christian Women Do you ever look in the mirror and feel disappointment, frustration, or even grief over how your body has changed? Whether it's postpartum recovery, the lines and silver hairs of aging, or the cultural pressure to stay youthful and thin, body image struggles are not just for teenagers. This episode of The Holistic Healing Podcast is for Christian women who want to align their view of their bodies with God's Word and experience freedom from comparison and self-criticism. Today's guest, Kasey Shuler, author of Love Beyond Looks: A Five-Week Bible Study on Body Image, shares how to: Anchor your self-worth in God's unchanging truth Navigate postpartum and aging with gratitude instead of shame Help your kids build a Christ-centered body image Identify and replace negative self-talk with Scripture Break free from the thin ideal and media-driven beauty standards If you want to see yourself as fearfully and wonderfully made, this conversation will equip you with biblical truth, practical tools, and a renewed perspective on your body. Episode Highlights: Faith-Based Body Image Tips and Truths [00:31] Why body image is more than a teenage struggle — Kasey shares her postpartum experience and why women at every age need a biblical perspective. [01:26] The God who never changes — Why your worth must be rooted in God's character, not fluctuating body changes. [03:18] The cultural obsession with youth — How beauty ideals affect self-worth and why the church should address them. [04:42] Smile lines as joy lines — Seeing aging as evidence of a life lived in gratitude and grace. [07:06] Postpartum compassion — Learning to honor your body for the miracles it has carried instead of criticizing it. [08:06] Three main influences on body image — Family, peers, and media—and how to replace harmful influences with biblical truth. [10:48] Psalm 139:14 in real life — How to actually live out the truth of being fearfully and wonderfully made. [14:19] Grieving body changes without losing identity — Why lament can be a godly first step toward freedom. [17:38] Rewiring your brain with Scripture — How to capture and replace toxic thoughts consistently. [19:35] Raising kids with a biblical body image — How to avoid appearance-based compliments and teach God's design for the body. [22:23] Talking about food God's way — Focusing on nourishment and energy rather than body size. [24:13] The one habit that can transform your body image — Capturing negative thoughts and replacing them with God's truth. Key Takeaways: Faith-Based Body Positivity for Christian Women God values your heart, not your appearance — (1 Samuel 16:7) Your worth is not defined by looks. Aging is evidence of grace — Lines, wrinkles, and gray hair can be reminders of joy, wisdom, and God's provision. Gratitude changes perspective — Thank God for what your body has done and continues to do. Know your influences — Family, peers, and media shape body image—replace harmful messages with biblical ones. Scripture renews your mind — Verses like Psalm 139:14 and 2 Corinthians 4:16 are powerful tools against body shame. Be intentional with your kids — Focus on character and heart, not appearance, when affirming them. The Bible teaches that God looks at the heart rather than outward appearance (1 Samuel 16:7) and that we are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). Your worth comes from being created in God's image, not from meeting cultural beauty standards. Q: How can Christian women overcome postpartum body shame? Postpartum body changes are part of God's design. Shift your perspective by thanking God for what your body has accomplished, such as carrying and nurturing life. Replace negative self-talk with Scripture, and focus on caring for your body out of gratitude rather than trying to “bounce back.” Q: How can I embrace aging as a Christian? Aging is a visible reminder of God's grace and the life He has given you. Scripture calls gray hair a crown of glory (Proverbs 16:31). Focus on spiritual renewal (2 Corinthians 4:16) and view smile lines and other signs of aging as evidence of joy and wisdom. Q: How do I teach my kids a healthy, biblical body image? Avoid appearance-based compliments and focus on character, kindness, and perseverance. Address unrealistic portrayals in media, celebrate body diversity, and remind your children that God created their bodies on purpose and with care. Q: How do I replace negative body image thoughts with God's truth? Identify the source of the negative thought (family, peers, or media) and then replace it with a relevant Bible verse. Keep verses like Psalm 139:14 or 1 Corinthians 6:19–20 visible—on your mirror, phone background, or journal—and repeat them regularly until they take root. When things are simple and grounded, athletes feel safe to go all-in. What to try: Open sessions with minimal barriers, simple tasks that athletes can immediately attack. Anchor your program in clear, foundational principles. Avoid over-layering. Use simplicity to build confidence before introducing complexity. Is Complexity Distracting Us from What Actually Matters? – [6:08] Tim reflects on times when adding more didn't add value. Too much complexity can distract from what makes athletes feel fast, powerful, or confident. What to try: If a drill looks cool but the athletes are confused, simplify. Choose training elements that resonate emotionally and physically with athletes. Prioritize what sticks with them, not what looks best on social media. What Are Athletes Actually Feeling During a Drill? – [11:55] Tim discusses the disconnect between what coaches see and what athletes actually experience. You won't know unless you ask. What to try: Regularly pause to ask: “What did that feel like?” Adjust based on athlete feedback, even if it means letting go of your favorite drill. Use sensation-based questions to help athletes build awareness (“Did you feel the bounce off the floor?”). How Do We Make Coaching Feel Less Robotic? – [18:42] Athletes shut down when things feel overly mechanical. Tim points out that meaningful training often happens in the gray areas, not the rigidly planned ones. What to try: Let warmups flow with energy, don't always stick to a static script. Mix structure with spontaneity. Athletes should feel like they're moving, not executing code. Lean into athlete body language. Adjust volume and tone on the fly. What If the Goal Isn't Perfection, But Exploration? – [25:30] Tim encourages a shift from perfect execution to active exploration. Growth comes from seeing what might work, not just repeating what's safe. What to try: Create “choose your own path” movement options in skill work. Use sessions that feel like problem-solving, not rehearsing. Acknowledge when athletes take a risk, even if the result isn't clean. Can We Trust Athletes to Self-Organize? – [32:09]

Chela Gurnee is a metalsmith, shamanic practitioner, hypnotherapist, and reiki healer—and she's one of those rare people who allows herself to follow what's calling, even when it doesn't fit into a tidy box.We talk about how her love of creating beauty with her hands led her to jewelry, her love of stones and how the stones themselves guided her deeper into energy work, and how shamanic practices, intuitive song, and ritual became part of her daily life. We talk about burnout and boundaries, making peace with your body, being multi-passionate, and finding the golden thread that runs through all the parts of who you are.Chela shares so openly about the seasons of creativity, what it looks like to truly listen to your inner voice, and how she's learned to honor the balance between flow and structure, especially as a woman navigating a culture that rewards doing over being. This one is deeply affirming if you've ever felt like you had to choose just one thing, or if you've struggled to reconcile your spiritual path with your role as a maker.Follow along...Chela on Instagram: @chelagurneeChela's Website: chelagurnee.com Jewelry: chelagurneejewelry.etsyIntuitive song: Chela GurneeChristine's Instagram: @christinemighionSlowmade Website: slowmadepodcast.comSupport an episode: Click here to learn more! Lisa encourages listeners to listen to the previous podcast episode with Manya. Lisa and Manya discuss nutritional science and its diverse expert opinions, political influences, and constant evolution. [15:14] Lisa discusses how her approach to food intake is like managing a financial budget, where understanding caloric surplus and deficit plays a key role. She explains how this method allows her to be aware of the calories in food without succumbing to judgment or rigidity, allowing for informed choices to maintain weight balance. [22:00] Manya expresses caution about the potential pitfalls of anti-diet and intuitive eating messages, how they gaslight by promoting absolute freedom from food monitoring. Lisa and Manya discuss the value of mindful eating, how balance is necessary to avoid counterproductive outcomes. [28:25] Manya discusses Kevin Hall's experiment that showed that ultra-processed meals led to higher calorie consumption, while real foods increased satiety and reduced caloric intake, resulting in weight loss. Lisa discusses how her approach to maintaining her weight loss is eating for volume and choosing high-nutrient, low-calorie foods over calorie-dense, low-volume options.[49:30] Lisa and Manya discuss how her living in an environment of high stress has led to her using food to gain a sense of comfort and safety. They discuss how Manya should shift to managing stress and embracing embodied safety will help her with her intentional weight loss without a diet mentality. Manya talks about how the IFS framework is used to balance contrasting inner parts: firefighters, representing the urge to eat for comfort, and managers, which impose boundaries. Lisa and Manya explain how this integration supports healthy eating decisions while honoring the positive intention of every inner part.[1:18:56] Lisa and Manya wrap up the episode by discussing how listeners can learn more about Manya and connect at: Website | Instagram | Facebook | LinkedIn. *The views of podcast guests do not necessarily reflect the views and beliefs of Lisa Schlosberg or Out of the Cave, LLC.Purchase the OOTC book of 50 Journal PromptsLeave Questions and Feedback for Lisa via OOTC Pod Feedback Form Email Lisa: lisa@lisaschlosberg.comOut of the Cave Merch - For 10% off use code SCHLOS10Lisa's SocialsInstagram Facebook YouTubeReclaiming Peace With Food Retreat at the Omega Institute - September 7-12, 2025

Send us a textLIGHTHOUSE is open through August 2025We all have those moments—when something clicks, and suddenly we see our path forward with breathtaking clarity. These turning points aren't just coincidences; they're soul-level guidance breaking through when we need it most.In this special compilation episode, Sylvia takes us through the most powerful awakening moments from past conversations on Soul Level Human. From her own spiritual awakening that began with the passing of her childhood dog to James Wedmore's reluctant journey from spiritual skeptic to believer (after literally throwing Abraham Hicks books in the trash), these stories reveal what happens when we finally listen to those persistent nudges.Jenni Finley shares how intuitive dreams of red rocks led her back to her soulmate after years apart, while Autumn Reeser offers profound wisdom about breaking cycles of self-punishment to discover how loving ourselves creates more transformation than discipline ever could. Laurie Rivers recounts how a quantum mechanics class taught by a Holocaust survivor validated the spiritual experiences she had been pushing away, bridging her logical mind with her intuitive knowing. These transformational stories remind us that spiritual awakening isn't about bypassing human experience—it's about fully inhabiting it with greater awareness. As Sylvia puts it, we aren't "half soul and half human" but fully both: "It's not 50-50. It's 100-100."Whether you're just beginning to notice those intuitive nudges or you've been following them for years, these stories will remind you that you're not alone in your experiences. The path may not be linear, but when we trust our guidance even through uncertainty, something remarkable happens—we remember who we truly are and why we came here.Ready to deepen your own spiritual practice and take real-world action? Lighthouse enrollment is open through August 5th. This six-week mentorship program helps soul-led humans ground their energy, connect with their spirit team, and navigate uncertain times with clarity and purpose.Support the showI NEED YOUR HELP! Ever get to that point in a painting where nothing's working the way you thought it would? Where the idea is still in there somewhere, but the canvas isn't cooperating? That's not a mistake. That's the part where things get real.In this episode of the Savvy Painter podcast, we're talking about the Exploration phase of the Creative Spiral. The phase most artists dread, not because they're doing it wrong, but because it asks them to stay with what's actually happening in the painting. Not the plan. Not the ideal image in their head. Just… this. Right here. It's uncomfortable, often messy, and full of not-knowing. But it's also where your voice starts to take shape, not as an idea, but in the act of making.
