Jesus and his disciples were also invited to the wedding. When the wine was gone, Jesus’ mother said to him, “They have no more wine.” Jesus answered, “Woman, why did you come to me? My time has not yet come.” His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you to do.” In that place there were six stone water jars. The Jews used jars like these in their washing ceremony. Each jar held about 20 or 30 gallons. Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water.” So they filled the jars to the top. Then he said to them, “Now take some out and give it to the master of the feast.” So the servants took the water to the master. The master tasted the water. It had become wine. He did not know where the wine came from. But the servants who brought the wine knew. The master of the wedding called the groom. He said to him, “People always serve the good wine first. Later, after the guests have drunk a lot, they serve the cheap wine. But you have saved the good wine until now.”
They asked John, “If you’re not the Messiah, Elijah, or the Prophet, why are you baptizing?” John answered, “I baptize with water. But someone you don’t know is with you. He is the One who comes after me. I’m not good enough to untie his sandals!” This happened at Bethany on the east side of the Jordan River. John was baptizing there. The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him. John said, “Look! The Lamb of God! He takes the sin of the world away! This is the One I was talking about!” Full script available for free at https://www.lifelineenglish.com/2020/07/the-lamb-comes.html
The Jews in Jerusalem sent some priests and assistants to John. The Jews sent them to ask John, “Who are you?” John came right out and said, “I am not the Messiah”. “Then who are you?” they asked. “Are you Elijah?” “I am not,” he said. “Are you the Prophet?” “No,” he answered. Then they said, “Who are you? Tell us, so we can give an answer to the people who sent us. What do you say about yourself?” John replied using the words of the prophet Isaiah. John said, “I am a voice shouting in the desert, ‘Make the road straight for the Lord!’” Full script available for free at https://www.lifelineenglish.com/2020/07/who-are-you.html

It is the glory of the only Son, who came from the Father. And the Word was full of grace and truth. John told about Him. John shouted, “This is the One I was talking about! I said, ‘The One who comes after me is greater than me. He existed before I did.’” All of us have received from His fullness. We received gift after gift. The law was given through Moses. Grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. No human has ever seen God. But the only Son is God. He is near to the Father’s side. He showed us God.
Full script available for free at https://www.lifelineenglish.com/2020/06/receive-him-and-believe-him.html The true light who gives light to everyone was coming into the world. The Word was in the world. And the world was made through him. But the world did not recognize him. He came to what was his own. But his own people did not receive him. Some people did receive him and did believe in his name. He gave them the right to become children of God. They were not born through their parents. They were not born because of a person’s desire or a man’s decision. They were born because of what God does.
Full script available for free at https://www.lifelineenglish.com/2020/05/the-word-and-witness.html In the beginning, the Word was already there. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. All things were made through him. Nothing that has been made was made without him. Life was in him, and that life was the light for humans. The light shines in the darkness. But the darkness has not overcome the light. There was a man sent from God. His name was John. He came to be a witness about that light. He was a witness so that all people could believe. John himself was not the light. He came only as a witness to the light.
Cain said to his brother Abel, “Let’s go out to the field.” While they were in the field, Cain attacked his brother Abel and killed him. God said to Cain, “Where is your brother Abel?” Cain said, “I don’t know! Am I my brother’s guard?” God said, “What have you done? Your brother’s blood is crying out to me from the ground. Now you will be cursed in your work with the ground. It received your brother’s blood from your hand. When you farm the ground, it will not produce good crops for you anymore. You will wander on the earth.” Full script available for free at https://www.lifelineenglish.com/2020/05/story-13-first-murder.html

The sun went down. The people brought Jesus everyone who was sick. They also brought Him everyone who was controlled by demons. The whole town gathered at the door of the house. Jesus healed many people who had different kinds of illnesses. He also forced many demons to leave people. He would not allow the demons to speak, because they knew who Jesus was. Very early the next morning Jesus got up. It was still dark. Jesus left the house. He went to a place where He could be alone. There Jesus prayed. Simon and his friends went to find Jesus. Full script at https://www.lifelineenglish.com/2019/08/the-tower.html [Song] “Sing them over again to me, wonderful words of life. Let me more of their beauty see, wonderful words of life.” Hello, my name is Miss Barb! Welcome to Lifeline English, the podcast that helps you know God and know English. You can read the written script for today’s lesson online at lifelineenglish.com. Today I want to teach you three words. Scatter. To scatter means to make things move in many different directions. For example, the dog caused the sheep to scatter. When I turned on the light, the cockroaches scattered. The farmer scattered his seeds in his field. Confuse. To confuse means to make something hard to understand, or to make someone have difficulty understanding. For example, “I asked Siri for directions to the restaurant. But the directions confused me.”
