Today we’re talking with Amir Hariri of Vanexus Photography in Vancouver. He took a stunning photo of the NEOWISE comet, which is currently on a massive “near parabolic” orbit, according to Astronomer Rachel Wang with Vancouver’s HR Macmillan Space Centre. In one of his posts he wrote, “I’m always struck by the scale of our universe when I’m photographing the night sky. Last night was the same, just watching this comet move up and eventually disappear was an absolute joy.” So, you still have time to capture the comet. I’d love to see any photos that you’re able to capture. You can send them to me through my website at davidsornberger.com

There are a few photographers who I make part of my weekly viewing. I watch them for a few reasons - two of the most important things that keep me going back to their channels is the quality of content and their dynamic personalities. One of these photographers is Nick Page. Many of you will be familiar with him. He is one of the most talented landscape photographers around. His latest video had a title that really stuck out to me and seemed out of place from what he usually posts because most of his videos provide tips for photographers to improve their skills. The title of his video was "I suck and so does social media". This week I'm focussing on an important message for everyone that was inspired by photographer Nick Page. Social media can make you question your self-worth as a photographer. To Nick Page, I say, thank you for your vulnerability. Thank you for your courage and thank you for sharing and teaching your amazing skills.
