Alece is a friend whos life has had a major impact on the trajectory of my own. Although this podcast is the very first conversation we have ever had, ontop of never meeting. Alece is a founding member of Thrive Africa, the miniistry that i rededicated my life to missions and where i met my wife. God placed me with Thrive Africa over two trips for a total of 14 months, during a time when the ministry was going through some major events that would not only see Thrive Africa close its door but also end Aleces marriage.

Isaac grew up as a missionary kid in Thailand. He desired to join the military to become a fighter pilot and God ended up changing his mind, not by force but by changing his desire.
Amiee is a missionary who is working with a ministry called ignite Africa located in south africa. I met Amiee while i was an intern with a different ministry Thrive Africa who she was working with at the time as well. We talk about growing up in canada, going on her first mission trip to africa and being apart of a ministry as it was falling apart.

Unsure where to find fulfillment she looked for it all the wrong places. But after awhile of not finding what she needed she turned to God and He was able to fill in the gaps missing in her spirit.

Growing up a farm boy in Iowa Leon was frustrated with God after seeing the way the church handled and interpreted scriptures. But God never gave up on Leon. We talk about how God moved and prepared Leons life to be a traveling minister to churches all over the world.

She served as a specialized foster care provider for the state of Massachusetts for eight years, advocated before (Ma.) Congress to change laws regarding foster care, ministered to victims of violence, worked as a bookkeeper and worked in media (television, newspapers, magazines, and Internet) as an editor and writer. She is founder of Heart of Christ Ministries in Honduras where she has been living and serving since 2005. She created and opened the first-ever victims' program for Honduras in 2005/2006 and works with national and international authorities to bring rescue and aid to victims of violence.
