El fondo 'Cobas Selección' se sitúa cerca de los 1.500 millones de euros. El patrimonio bajo gestión de Cobas AM no para de crecer. La gestora de fondos orientada al value investing roza ya los 4.800 millones de euros bajo gestión entre todos sus vehículos de inversión, un hito que sitúa a sus dos fondos estrella a las puertas de un cambio operativo histórico: el cierre a nuevos inversores. Así lo ha confirmado Carlos González Ramos, director de relación con inversores de Cobas AM, en una entrevista en el programa Tu Dinero Nunca Duerme de esRadio, conducido por Luis F. Quintero y con la participación de los colaboradores de Libre Mercado Manuel Llamas y Domingo Soriano.La barrera de los 1.500 millones "Es algo que está en boca de todos y los inversores nos llaman para consultarlo", ha reconocido González Ramos. El crecimiento acelerado desde la última conferencia anual ha provocado que el buque insignia de la firma, el Cobas Selección, esté "prácticamente alcanzando los 1.500 millones de euros", que es la cifra de referencia que la gestora tomó como barrera para plantear el cierre a nuevos clientes. Por su parte, el Cobas Internacional sigue una estela idéntica y ya se encuentra cerca de los 1.300 millones de euros, aproximándose también a ese umbral crítico. El director de relación con inversores ha aclarado que los 1.500 millones no son una cifra final o matemática inamovible, sino el nivel estimativo en el que la firma activará los procedimientos pertinentes con la CNMV para ejecutar la restricción. Aunque no hay una fecha cerrada en el calendario, González Ramos ha advertido de que, por la evolución de las cifras, el proceso está "muy cerca" y se definirá a lo largo de los próximos meses.¿Cómo funcionará el cierre de los fondos? Ante la confusión que a veces generan estos movimientos en el mercado, el responsable de Cobas ha querido lanzar un mensaje de tranquilidad a los clientes actuales, detallando exactamente el funcionamiento de la medida: Los ya partícipes están blindados: El cierre afectará única y exclusivamente a nuevos inversores. Todo aquel que ya tenga posiciones dentro de Cobas Selección o Cobas Internacional antes de que se formalice el proceso ante la CNMV podrá seguir realizando aportaciones adicionales con total normalidad, independientemente de la clase de acciones que posea (clase A, B, C o D). Ventanilla abierta para familiares: En un intento por mantener el vínculo familiar con sus clientes, la gestora abrirá una vía excepcional para que los familiares cercanos (como hijos de los actuales partícipes) puedan darse de alta e invertir en estos fondos, a pesar de que el acceso general esté clausurado. ¿Quiénes se quedan fuera? Todo aquel inversor que no tenga ninguna posición tomada en estos fondos a la fecha en que se pacte el cierre definitivo con el regulador. El creciente interés por la propuesta de Cobas AM y la inminencia de esta medida regulatoria están provocando un efecto llamada, tanto de inversores actuales que buscan incrementar su exposición antes del límite, como de nuevos ahorradores que aceleran sus aportaciones para no quedarse fuera de los fondos de la emblemática gestora.
