On todays episode I sat down and had an awesome conversation with Gregg Shaw and Tayler Wells!  The main topic of discussion was Greggs first big game animal (pig) and what that experience was like for him.  Gregg did not grow up in a hunting family but he has been hunting small game for a few years leading up to this.  I can tell Gregg is a person who appreciates the entire process and gathering every bit of knowledge that he can to become a better hunter.  It was cool to get the perspective from Tayler's point of view as well!  I enjoyed sitting down and talking to the both of them about their hunt which inspired me to want to chase some pigs as well.  You can find them on Instagram @greggshawhfa and @taylerw

On todays episode I sat down and talked to Levi Kary!  Levi is a Wyoming resident who grew up big game hunting and has been able to connect on some respectable animals from a 200" mule deer to a couple 350" bulls.  He has since dove head first into waterfowl hunting which he has become obsessed with!  Levi is also the host of another podcast called Pull'nFeathers Podcast!  I really enjoyed the conversation and I think you will too.  You can find Levi on Instagram @levi_kary307 and also @pullnfeathers_podcast go check them out!

On this episode Ryan MacPhail and I sat down in the new podcast studio (my garage), had a couple beers and talked about hunting big game and also talked about the passion for bird dogs.  Ryan has been able to find success the last couple years deer hunting on public land in California with his bow which is no easy task.  He has also dove head first into training his puppy Robie for upland game hunting.  On this episode he also tells his story of getting bluff charged by a black bear here in California!  Ryan is a super down to earth guy and I really enjoyed the conversation and I think you will too!  You can find Ryan on Instagram @ryantmacphail 

On this episode I had the pleasure of talking to Rob Decosta (Owner/Guide of D.O.A. On this weeks episode I had the pleasure of talking to myself!!  I go over the struggle of hunting solo OTC public land here in California.  I dive into different tactics used this season and what I've learned.  I always want to stay true and transparent about just being an average guy who's doing this because its a passion and am humbled everyday I'm in the field.  I don't ever want to sugar coat the reality and the challenge I have to stay motivated chasing these, what seem to be grey ghosts.  However, I do my best to stay positive each and every day knowing that "today is the day I fill my tag".  Although, we all know this is not the case, it is mandatory to keep that attitude if we ever want to find consistent success.  Go follow my pages @mountain.vision and @bluecollarharvester on Instagram.

On today's episode I had the pleasure to talk to Logan Lesina!  Logan tells a couple of his hunting stories which I'm sure he has plenty of.  We dive into the tactics that Logan uses to help in his success over the years at consistently killing nice blacktail bucks!  Logan talks about being very detailed and particular about using scent control and just covering every aspect to make him a better hunter.  I had a great time talking with him, learning from him and had an awesome conversation.  I look forward to catching up with him post season to see how it went!  Hope you enjoy!  You can find Logan on IG @blacktail_addiction

On today's episode I sit down and talk to Blake Manning!  We discuss Blake's introduction into the outdoors which has developed into a complete passion for hunting and fishing.  Blake has a ton of knowledge when it comes to hunting and fishing and I wouldn't hesitate to say he is an all around, true outdoorsman.  He seems to consistently find success in the field whether he is on the drift boat chasing stealhead and salmon, turkey hunting, waterfowl hunting or big game hunting.  Also, on this episode he tells his 2020 blacktail hunting story about how he put the smack-down on "smackers"!  Go check out Blake on Instagram @californiaoutdoorsman.

On today's episode I sit down and catch up with Cody Will!  We talk about Cody's experience guiding in Colorado, hunting AZ, scouting and hunting here in CA.  Cody is a hard working blue collar guy who puts in a lot of hard work on the job as well as in the field.  He puts in the effort it takes in the off season scouting and setting cameras to put him in the right place come season.  Cody has been able to find success with both a rifle as well as with archery equipment.  You can find Cody on Instagram @codytwill.

On this episode, I talk to Brian Taylor.  Brian is one of the easiest people to talk to, especially after a few beers!  Honestly had an awesome conversation with Brian about balancing life and the passion for hunting and the outdoors.  Brian seemed to be a wealth of knowledge when it comes to knowing were deer like to be.  He has had a ton of success when hunting and he has the drive to continue his pursuit for mature mule deer whether he is here in California or out of state.  Look forward to future episodes with Brian as we have some ideas brewing already!  You can find Brian on Instagram @b.taylor85.
