Each One Of You Have A GIFT!

Gifts of Grace In ministry, our “gifts” are called gifts because a Giver gives them to us. That Giver is God. God has given us gifts based on His grace, not gifts that we have earned, but gifts that we can receive and operate in through reliance upon God's goodness Because these gifts are not of us, but rather gifts that have come from the Father:  - We have no basis for promoting ourselves -  We should complement one another without feelings of envy or jealousy  - We should look to God for how He wants His gifts to be used -  We should rely upon God for the power and wisdom to administrate His gifts Describe how you have applied this truth in your life this week:

Memory Verse: Galatians 3:28 “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” How Men and Women are to Relate to One Another in Ministry Read Genesis 1:26-28 When God delegated authority of the earth, do you think He intended for men and women to rule over it together? Y/N God places both men and women in leadership positions, so it is important that we look at how God wants us to relate to one. Read I Timothy 5:1-2. How does God want us to treat one another? When we view one another as family, we can work together with love and respect, accepting and honoring the ministry/business position and gifts that God has given each of us.

Leaders Need Friends  God created us to interact with one another. Friends are people that we love and they love us back. We can have many friends. Some friends are closer than others. We all need to have at least one close friend, a companion, a confidant.  A close friend is some that you can share your life with. A close friend is someone that you can confide in and get counsel from. A close friend is someone that you can call when you face difficulty. A close friend is someone that you can make yourself accountable to. A close friend is someone that you can be completely yourself with, someone that you don’t need to hide anything from, and someone that you know will love and accept you no matter what you do or say.

"Choosing Your Associations" Advanced Leadership Training Romans 12:16 “...associate with the humble.” Association is Your Choice It is your choice with whom you associate with. When you choose a ministry to associate with, you show yourself to share similar values, beliefs and vision. No one should be an island all to himself. The kingdom of God is about a body working together, giving Jesus Christ the glory for all that is accomplished in His name. We don’t need any lone rangers that separate themselves from the body so that they can take credit for the work they do.

    Helping Hurting People

"Helping Hurting People" Scripture To Memorize Luke 4:18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed.” When we reach out to our community as a church, we cast out a net without prejudice and partiality, and we bring in a wide variety of people: some are spiritually mature, some are spiritually immature, and some are searching for salvation. Of those who are searching, many have a background where they have been wounded from abuse, worn from sin, or bound by addictions. They’re hurting. They’re hurting and they are unable to fix themselves. They need help, but they need someone who will see their mess and not run away from it. They need acceptance and love. They need someone to see beyond their scars and beyond their chains to assure them that they are worth saving. They need someone to give them hope for healing and to show them that there is a way of restoration. Helping the hurting is part of ministry. What compels us to want to help the hurting? It should be the genuine love of God that gives value to a person, whatever state that they are in. It should be the pure love of God that shows compassion to someone who is suffering. It should be the transparent love of God that wants to see each and every person returned to God in repentance. APPLICATION: Describe a situation that you have dealt with in which a hurting person resisted you or even tried to harm you.

    Keeping Priorities

Memory Verse: Revelation 2:4 “Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love.” The Importance of Priorities Many leaders/preachers have lost their business/ministries because they were unable to keep priorities in their lives. Countless lives of people have been hurt because their leader did not keep priorities. Many leaders have ruined relationships with their spouse and their children because they were unable to keep priorities. Some children have even turned their back on God and success because they blame business/ministry for the tearing apart of their family. It seems like such a simple truth to understand; yet so many leaders have failed to maintain this principle. Leaders continue to fail in this area. Why?
