What makes someone great in God's eyes? It's not age, skill, or outward strength—it's the heart. In this message, we look at the story of David: a young, overlooked shepherd boy with a heart fully set on God. While others saw size, God saw surrender. While Goliath flexed strength, David revealed God's glory. Greatness in the Kingdom doesn't wait for age or perfection—it begins with a heart aligned with God's purpose. We'll also introduce Nathan Johnson, our new Student Pastor, as he prepares to lead the next generation with that same kind of heart. This message will challenge you to give God your heart, trust Him with your youth, and live to display His greatness—not your own.

When we first come to Christ, we are saved by His grace, through faith (Ephesians 2:8–9). Our salvation is not of ourselves, it is the work and gift of God on our behalf. Yet, strangely, for many Christians, once we are saved through faith, we attempt to live the Christian life in our own strength, ability, wisdom, and resource—we try to be godly, holy, righteous, and pure. But the reality of the Christian life is that we are to ALWAYS live by faith in Christ. The only way we will ever experience freedom, victory, and triumph over sin is when we live by faith in Jesus alone. In this study, Nathan talks about what faith is, how it functions, why it is necessary, and how it applies to Ephesians 5:3–5 in the area of sexuality, purity, and freedom from sin.

It causes said brain to stop questioning the obvious, to turn off all reasonableness, and forsake all common sense. In our world today we call the fear of man political/social correctness. Virtue signaling is “impression management”—it is to subtly boost your reputation through what you say (or don't say), what you wear, what groups you associate with, etc. Humanity seems to be wired for virtue signaling—to focus on self and how to look better in other's eyes. Yet, as Eric and Nathan discuss, this is opposite of the Kingdom of Heaven. We should not care for our own reputations, but the reputation of Jesus Christ. In this conversation, Eric and Nathan dive into the topic of virtue signaling, giving many examples from their own lives, and discuss the sole remedy to being set free for a greater purpose.

The Overton Window is a socio-political concept denoting the “politically accepted view of the moment/time.” It's the perspective through which modern culture deems that which is acceptable. In this timely and profound conversation, Eric and Nathan discuss the difference between the Overton Window and the “Canon/Biblical Window” and what we should do about it.

Paul reminds us in Ephesians 4:12–13 that God's desire for the Church is to grow up and be built into a body that is mature and measured by the stature of Christ. And this “building up the body” process happens, according to Paul, when every believer is equipped and in active ministry. In this message, Nathan examines Ephesians 4:12 and what it means for every Christian to be a “waiter at the table” for the work of Christ and His Kingdom.

There is a big movement to focus inward, put America first, and make her great again. Yet, the tension our nation faces is should not we use our strength to help weaker people and nations around the world? Perhaps to make it more personal, what does the Bible say about focusing on self verses turning outward and focusing on others? In this timely and stirring conversation, Eric and Nathan discuss the tension between America first and meeting the needs around the world, and more importantly, the tension in our own lives to focus on “first things” while being available for the equally important “second things.”
