We went to Essex to celebrate with Bostik League Premier Division champions Billericay Town and had a chat with top scorer Jake Robinson about their fantastic season, winning the treble, scoring lots of goals and club owner/manager/master of ceremonies Glenn Tamplin. We also have the usual features, including the food review and a special version of the tense quiz feature.
The bank holiday took us back up to Yorkshire where we saw promotion hopefuls Harrogate Town thrash Blyth Spartans 5-1. We interviewed Paul from the Harrogate Town Supporters' Team and Jordan who helps organise the away supporters' travel. We then had a special tasting session with Ian from Burgers and More who provide the club's food for an exclusive food review. We also have all the usual features and nonsense.
New Lawn was our venue of choice today as we went to see how former Non League stalwarts Forest Green Rovers were adapting to life in league football. Includes a scary golf course, the tense quiz, a unique food review and a terrific football poem.
This episode took us across to Wales to watch Merthyr Town take on Weymouth at Penydarren Park. We returned to our spiritual non league home, Croft Park, to see Blyth Spartans lose 3-2 at home to Spennymoor. This episode features an interview with Blyth's number 1 Brazilian supporter Lucas, a chat with Blyth MP Ronnie Campbell about how he used to sneak into the ground on matchdays as a youngster and a lovely song about Spartans winger Jarrett Rivers. We also have all the usual features, including the tense quiz and the food review with the unspellable name.
We ventured north to Bootham Crescent where we watched York City lose 3-2 to Blyth Spartans. We exchanged Christmas presents, reviewed the food and interviewed Match of the Day commentator Guy Mowbray about his experiences of supporting the club. We also battled it out in our tense quiz feature once again, to decide on the destination of our next episode.
We visited Imperial Fields to watch Tooting and Mitcham United for episode 3. We spoke to Keith Shannon the British Ambassador for Latvia about following the club abroad, then we chatted to skipper Quincy Rowe about striking the work/football balance as a semi-professional. We also have our food and booze reviews, our tense quiz feature and the inside scoop from the iTunes Christmas party.
We visited Champion Hill to see Dulwich Hamlet take on Brightlingsea Regent and interviewed Independent journalist Jack Pitt-Brooke about the fight to keep the club running. We also spoke to Forward the Hamlet podcaster Ben Sibley about supporting Dulwich, nurturing talent and the club's recent boost in popularity.
