Hannah Austin is a kinusaiga and fabric collage embroidery artist who specializes in landscapes. She finds inspiration in nature and she stitches to feel a connection with her ancestors and her community. Hannah developed her skills in hand sewing and embroidery through her grandmother, who was an avid maker herself.Kinusaiga is a Japanese art form, founded and created by Setsu Maeno, that uses pieces of scrap fabric to create collage-style images. Hannah recently made a kinusaiga mini quilt to honour her grandmother's memory, based on the design of a full-size quilt her grandmother made for her. That project was a major hit on her social media channels, inspiring others to make their own projects in honour of loved ones. Hannah is an active member of the fibre arts community and shares her love of making fibre art through workshops as well as by teaching classes at the University of Oregon's Craft Center. On this episode, host Angela de Burger chats with Hannah about why fibre arts are so close to her heart, how nature and sustainability are areas of focus in her work, the way she developed her kinusaiga skills, and how teaching fuels even more creativity in her life. Ari Rastegar is a real estate developer and investor behind some of the most ambitious projects reshaping major U.S. cities. In this episode, we break down how starting with just $3,000 turned into a multi-billion-dollar real estate portfolio, why failure became his greatest advantage, and why most people misunderstand what it actually takes to build long term wealth. Ari explains why zoning, timing, and anticipation matter more than chasing “safe” deals, and why a billion-dollar valuation doesn't mean cash in the bank. He also shares the story of writing himself a $1 billion check at 23 and carrying it for 15 years as a reminder of what he was building toward. Because real wealth isn't reacting to the present. It's having the patience to build the future before everyone else sees it.Hosted on Ausha. See ausha.co/privacy-policy for more information.

It's 2019 and plant-based meats are on fire. But they're also under fire. Supporters of the beef industry start a food fight with the plant-based meat industry. It kicks off on Super Bowl Sunday, with an aggressive TV ad. But Pat Brown's Impossible Foods fights back with an ad of its own. Meanwhile, Ethan Brown pushes Beyond Meat to grow at all costs. As debts mount, Ethan tries to get the king of burgers, McDonald's, to bite on a new plant-based patty. And, as the heat turns up at both companies due to pandemic-induced demand for their products, some employees get queasy about their company's founders.Be the first to know about Wondery's newest podcasts, curated recommendations, and more! It's 2008 and two men, both vegans, ponder what they can do to improve the climate. Though they're on separate sides of the country and in different professions (but they coincidentally share a last name)— Ethan Brown is in the fuel cell business and Pat Brown is a lauded Stanford biochemist — they land on the same solution. They're going to try and lessen the climate impact of animal agriculture by making meat from plants. Ethan calls his company Beyond Meat and notches the first commercial breakthrough, a fake chicken strip. Pat is not far behind, and launches Impossible Foods two years later, setting off a heated rivalry. Be the first to know about Wondery's newest podcasts, curated recommendations, and more! It's 2016 and both Pat Brown's Impossible Foods and Ethan Brown's Beyond Meat are cooking up plant-based burgers for mass consumption. Ethan tries to woo Whole Foods executives to carry his Beyond Burger in their stores from coast-to-coast. Pat's taking a different route. He's asking celebrity chefs to put his Impossible Burger — a plant-based meat that bleeds — on their menus. Soon enough, fake meat gets truly famous. But as Beyond Meat tries to cash in on Wall Street and as Impossible Foods gets its patties into Burger King, meat-raising ranchers in America's heartland are on the attack. Most TRT clinics don't have a testosterone problem—they have a standards problem. In this solo episode, Dave Lee recaps a month of travel and teaching (Melbourne's Trinitas Trade Expo and the Silverback Summit in Orlando) and shares what still shocks him every time he steps outside his “echo chamber”: the abysmally low standard of care that has become normal in men's health—globally. Dave breaks down the biggest TRT red flags he's seeing in December 2025, including: The “Burger, Fries, and Coke” protocol: a cookie-cutter combo of testosterone + AI + hCG sold by default because it's profitable—not because it's indicated Clinics using fear-based selling (“You'll get infertile,” “You'll grow boobs”) to upsell ancillaries before you even know what you need Minimal lab work that only checks if you “qualify,” not what's actually driving symptoms (and why comprehensive assessment matters) The newer trend: clinics that push peptides on everyone—often as trendy add-ons rather than targeted tools tied to a real need Why prophylactic aromatase inhibitor use is one of the clearest warning signs of poor care The red flag that shows up later: no real follow-up, support, or education—leaving you to crowdsource your health online This episode is a practical checklist for anyone considering TRT (or already on it) who wants to identify clinics that prioritize outcomes over upsells—and find care that's individualized, evidence-informed, and actually supportive. In this episode, we sit down with Jake and Ashlyn Burger- a powerhouse couple whose story blends faith, resilience, and purpose. Jake is a MLB player known not just for his talent on the field, but for his openness about mental health and the challenges that shaped his career. Ashlyn, a former athlete herself, brings warmth, honesty, and strength, and together they've built a platform that goes far beyond sports. The Burgers are also the founders of the Burger Family Foundation, created to support mental health initiatives and give back to communities in meaningful, accessible ways. https://www.burgerfamilyfoundation.org/about Through their foundation, they've become advocates for transparency, encouragement, and breaking the stigma around mental health conversations, especially for young athletes. In this conversation, we dove into everything from Jake's journey through injuries and setbacks, to how the couple balances life, marriage, and being parents. We touched on their heart behind the foundation, their passion for serving others, an inside look at their relationship and the realities of navigating MLB life as a family, and the vulnerable moments that shaped their perspective. We had lots of laughs with our new friends and can't wait to hear what you guys think!! Love you guys!
