(but thanks for that quote anyway). Hosted by Klein, Ally, and a cast of weirdos (both on the team and from their audience), the show is known for its raw, offbeat style, offering a mix of sarcastic banter, candid interviews, and an unfiltered take on everything from culture to the chaos of everyday life. With a loyal, engaged fanbase and an addiction for pushing boundaries, the show delivers the perfect blend of humor and insight, all while keeping things fun, fresh, and sometimes a little bit illegal. 2024 © 2021 Audacy, Inc. Klein. In. Oil! Klein's been working on his body all spring and today was the big reveal of his summer bod. He lathered himself in shimmering body oil and paraded himself around the studio just as a bunch of guests were arriving. You gotta check out today's YouTube livestream to see it for yourself. Gorillaz' Jamie Hewlett finally sent us a package as a thank you for the jacket Klein gave him last time he stopped by the studio. We also got another big deliver: our KAS branded burger bibs from Burger 3000! And speaking of burgers... Three high end burger spots stopped by the studio today to celebrate burger week. They cooked up burgers in our company kitchen and brought in some of the best burgers we've ever seen. In order to earn the right to eat them, Jake had to do a blind smell test and correctly identify the burgers. It went haywire in the end because Johnny is a massive idiot. We also heard from Ally's wife today during Lezbihonest. The question was: is katie turned on by Ally's pregnancy boobs? Her answer revealed a plot twist none of us saw coming... Plus we learned what annoying thing you're doing at grocery checkouts during Clickbait, uncovered a scam our company was trying to pull on us, and challenged Jake to travel somewhere new to combat his early onset agoraphobia. Hertogenbosch, here we come!

Does your food noise get louder in summer? Like you are doing fine minding your own business and then June hits and suddenly all you can think about is the s'mores at the bonfire next weekend, the pizza on Wednesday, the frozen margarita at the barbecue on Sunday. You are thinking about these foods days before you even get there. And by the time you actually show up you are so wound up that you either overeat everything or white-knuckle the whole event and resent every second of it.Here is what I want you to know. That summer food noise spiral is not a willpower problem and it is not a discipline problem. It is a predictable psychological response to the way summer eating has been set up in your mind. Summer does not just change your schedule. It changes your food noise. And nobody is talking about why.In this episode, I am giving you 3 food noise fixes nobody talks about that will actually quiet the mental chatter so you can enjoy your summer without food living rent free in your head all season long. We are talking about why summer specifically amplifies food noise more than any other season, why removing the special occasion status from summer foods is the most powerful thing you can do, and how showing up to summer events with one simple mindful intention changes everything about how the night goes. The goal was never to stop thinking about summer food. The goal is to stop being controlled by the thought of it before you even get there. Press play and let's get your summer back.xoxo,JackieMORE FROM JACKIE: >

Peter and Eden run through a rapid-fire list of pop culture hot takes covering movies, TV, music, books, and games. The Star Wars watch order debate kicks things off (original trilogy only for Peter, release order for Eden), Eden defends Batman & Robin and F-Boy Island as unironically great, both agree the Beatles are played out, and they end on a shared appreciation for Alpha Centauri as the peak of the Civilization franchise.Show NotesWhat Eden's Been IntoK-pop roundup: LE SSERAFIM's new album, aespa's Lemonade LP, and ITZY's Motto EP (featuring solo tracks from each member)Reading: The web novel Long Awaited Feelings (1,900 pages about a woman who time-travels after her death) and rereading How Do We Relationship? (completed 14-volume yuri romance manga — "the best romance comic I've ever read")Games: Finished PowerWash Simulator (excited for the Star Wars DLC), played Loddlenaut (cute 5-hour pixel-art ocean cleanup game), and the Wuthering Waves x Cyberpunk: Edgerunners crossover eventWhat Peter's Been IntoDiablo 4: Finished the Vessel of Hatred campaign as a Warlock ("killing demons by summoning your own demons is a good time")Reading: 82% through Anji Kills a King by Evan Leikam (BookTuber debut from Tor) — enjoying it but struggling with the prickly protagonistMusic: New Khemmis self-titled album (Denver doom metal), Cult of Luna's new single "In the Shadow of Your Shadow" (album out November), and The Ocean's "Light Pollution" from upcoming Solaris — allaying fears after the post-Holocene lineup changeHot Takes — MoviesStar Wars watch order: Peter says 4, 5, 6 + maybe Rogue One, skip everything else. Eden says release order (4, 5, 6, 1, 2, 3, Rogue One) to preserve cultural/historical contextEden defends Batman & Robin: "It's the second best Batman movie. George Clooney's a bad Batman, he's got nipples on the Batsuit, he's got the Bat credit card — it's great."Eden declares Saving Private Ryan a bad movie to the horror of everyone at the comic book shopBest Pixar: Eden picks Ratatouille (doesn't like most Pixar). Peter picks The IncrediblesCorrect max runtime: 90 minutes (Eden) vs 120 minutes (Peter) — anything longer needs to earn itSequel that's better: Peter says Captain America: Winter Soldier > First Avenger. Eden says Tokyo Drift is the best Fast & Furious movieCitizen Kane: Eden concedes it's the rare masterpiece that actually earns its reputation — a bunch of first-time filmmakers who didn't know the rulesHot Takes — TVShows that stayed too long: The Simpsons (Peter). Nearly every comedy past season 3 (Eden)Best series finale: M*A*S*H's "Goodbye, Farewell and Amen" and Babylon 5 (Eden). Brooklyn 99 (Peter)Worst series finale: Battlestar Galactica (new) — "the most incomprehensible finale you'll ever watch" (Eden). Seinfeld (Peter)Reality TV worth defending: F-Boy Island — 24 guys, half are "nice guys" and half are fuckboys, the women pick, and the fuckboys can steal the $100k at the end. Nice guys get a villa; fuckboys get a literal prison camp on the beachAdult animation vs prestige drama: Eden says Bob's Burgers is the only good adult animation show right now. Prestige TV is in a nadir of expensive Game of Thrones clonesHot Takes — MusicNever need to hear again: The entire Beatles discography (both agree)Best decade by genre: 80s for rock/pop, 90s for alt, aughts for indie, right now for K-pop (Eden). 2010s for metal — the genre found its stride again after a grim 90s (Peter)Bands that should have stopped: Dream Theater after Awake (Eden). Opeth's last 15 years are all misses (Eden). Peter agrees on bothGreatest live album: Rush — Exit...Stage Left (Peter). The Bang on a Can recording of Terry Riley's In C (Eden — "the finest version I've ever seen")Albums > playlists: Both firmly team albums. Eden has a 16-hour "K-pop Brain Rot" playlist for shuffling, but that's the exceptionHot Takes — BooksAudiobooks = reading? Leans yes from both, but acknowledges the research is contradictory (small sample sizes, brain scan studies on both sides)E-readers vs physical: Peter goes digital 9 times out of 10 (lighter, portable, side-lit). Eden does physical for comics, e-books for prose (form factor matters less for text, but hates reading comics on a screen)Hot Takes — GamesFavorite game of all time: Mass Effect 2 (Peter — tighter gameplay than ME1, loyalty missions, assembling the crew). Doom (1993) (Eden — infinitely replayable with new WADs every day, nothing feels as fluid)Best console generation: Xbox 360 / PS3 era (both) — Halo 3 LAN parties, Gears of War couch co-op, Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Fallout 3/NV, Viva Piñata, and yes, Sneak KingOpen world vs linear: Both prefer a tight 20-hour experience over a 100-hour open worldFranchise that peaked early: Age of Empires II (Peter — nothing since comes close). And Eden's shitpost answer of the day: Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri is better than every Civilization game that came...

Send us Fan MailYou can learn a lot about someone from the way they talk about family, food, and the job they chose when nobody was watching. I'm joined by Dom Baglier, an admissions counselor at Baldwin Wallace University, and we start where every serious life conversation should start: mustache loyalty, loud Italian households, and the kind of family stories that never die at Thanksgiving. Then we shift into the real substance behind Dom's work in higher education. He breaks down what college admissions counseling actually looks like, from covering a huge recruitment territory to reading applications, answering emails from high school sophomores, and walking families through financial aid questions without making them feel lost. Dom also shares why he left staffing and recruiting, what “purpose” means to him now, and how being a first generation college student shapes the way he shows up for students who need a guide, not a sales pitch. We also hit soccer, travel, injuries, and the moment your body starts sending those “check engine” signals, plus a Cleveland love letter with an East Side vs West Side vote and a couple must try Cleveland restaurant recommendations. If you care about career clarity, the college search process, or just want a funny, honest conversation with real Northeast Ohio flavor, this one delivers.Subscribe, share this with a friend who needs a laugh or a nudge toward purpose, and leave a review so more people can find the show. All music brought to you by former guest of the show SpeedoSubscribe for exclusive content: https://www.buzzsprout.com/1530455/support Buzzsprout - Let's get your podcast launched!Start for FREETactical BrotherhoodThe Tactical Brotherhood is a movement to support America.Dubby EnergyFROM GAMERS TO GYM JUNKIES TO ENTREPRENEURS, OUR PRODUCT IS FOR ANYONE WHO WANTS TO BE BETTER.ShankitgolfOur goal here at Shankitgolf is for everyone to have a great time on and off the golf courseSweet Hands SportsElevate your game with Sweet Hands Sports! Beau Martonik sits down with Allie D'Andrea (Outdoors Allie) and Nick Berger for the first time in four years. A big chunk of this one is wild game cooking. Allie ran a head-to-head venison burger experiment comparing pure venison, pork shoulder, bacon, butter, mayo, and egg. Pork shoulder at 80/20 won. Mayo was last. She also covers how to handle bear meat, how to render bear fat, where to source fat at the grocery store, and what to do with the turkey that's been sitting in your freezer since last fall. Beyond the cooking, they get into bear hunting in Pennsylvania and the weight that comes with it, the honest math on guide hunts vs. DIY, why Florida outdoorsmen are underrated, deer camp culture, and fall plans including a Wyoming elk tag. Nick welcomes music journalist Jim Ryan from Forbes.com back to the podcast to talk about the new Earth, Wind & Fire documentary and his recent interviews with Soundgarden guitarist Kim Thayil and Jon Spencer of The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion. They also review recent concerts by George Clinton & Parliament-Funkadelic, Phil Manzanera, and Santana with The Doobie Brothers. Along the way, they discuss the parking headaches at Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre and the troubling trend of outdoor venues keeping shows going during dangerous weather. Later, Esmeralda Leon joins Nick to read listener emails and talk about the new Martin Short documentary. That conversation leads to a deep dive into some of Short's wildest work, including the cult favorite Clifford. 399 Disclosure Day TMNT Pizza Ocarina Remake Management RegretDoom Scrolling IntroThe Foos are one episode away from 400, and while a big blowout special is still a “real big maybe,” they take a moment to acknowledge the milestone and the long, weird road to getting there. They recap a productive weekend, including house chores and a trip to LA to see Sparta open for Local H opening for The Toadies at the Belasco. Joe nerds out over Sparta's At the Drive-In connection, Local H's two-piece setup that somehow sounds like a full band, and The Toadies delivering plenty from the Possum Kingdom era. Also: a drunk guy in the pit goes way harder than the songs require. This week's Florida story features a fugitive accused of stealing crab legs from Winn-Dixie, then allegedly hiding inside an air conditioner air handler behind ductwork while his girlfriend hides in a closet. Because in Florida, seafood theft apparently turns you into HVAC.Geeking Out starts with Steven Spielberg's new alien thriller Disclosure Day, which opened big and brings Spielberg back into the alien-movie conversation. The Foos talk practical creativity versus AI, including Emily Blunt reportedly creating her alien clicking voice herself instead of using AI.Then it's food and nostalgia: the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles pizzeria is opening in Santa Monica on June 20, fully decked out with cartoon-style décor, merch, neon turtle faces, and a pizza pickup counter designed like the front of the Turtle Van. They also shout out 50 Burger in Upland as a legit local smash burger spot.Nintendo drops a nostalgia bomb with a Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time remake planned for 2026, plus Switch/Switch 2 news and more from Nintendo Direct. The Foos compare it to the larger trend of remakes and remasters like Resident Evil and Final Fantasy.DC talk continues with Lanterns, the upcoming HBO Max series being pitched like a darker detective drama in the style of True Detective, plus My Adventures with Superman returning with a Reign of Superman-inspired season.Steph also spotlights Larry David's upcoming historical comedy series The Life, Larry, and the Pursuit of Unhappiness: An Almost History of America, which looks exactly like Larry David being dropped into major moments in history and complaining his way through them.Tech Talk makes a brief appearance with Logitech's MobiFold, a tiny foldable portable mouse that sounds surprisingly practical. They also remind listeners that Doug Brody's Shelley: Our Evolution is coming out June 19, and Steph is already deep into the book. Here's What I Would Do gets unusually existential:Michael (Irvine) got the management promotion he worked toward for years, but now misses the hands-on work he actually enjoyed.Rachel (Pasadena) isn't sure whether she wants kids, because both versions of the future — parenthood or child-free life — seem like they could be happy, and choosing one means letting go of the other.ChaptersDoom Scrolling IntroIntroOne episode away from 400 + possible milestone episodeBelasco recap Sparta Local H ToadiesDrunk pit energy during songs that did not need itFlorida fugitive steals crab legs hides in air conditionerGeeking Out Spielberg alien thriller Disclosure DayEmily Blunt practical alien voice vs AITMNT pizzeria opening in Santa Monica June 2050 Burger Upland smash burger shoutoutNintendo Direct Ocarina of Time remake nostalgia bombLanterns HBO Max True Detective superhero vibeMy Adventures with Superman Reign of Superman seasonLarry David historical comedy series previewLogitech MobiFold foldable portable mouseDoug Brody Shelley Our Evolution June 19Here's What I Would Do Promotion regret Michael IrvineHere's What I Would Do Deciding whether to have kids Rachel PasadenaOutro + Doom Scrolling Outro

Dan Mintz is an actor, comedian, and writer with a new standup special, Well-Rounded Entertainer, premiering soon on YouTube. Dan is best known as Tina Belcher on the beloved animated TV comedy Bob's Burgers, which has been on the air for 16 seasons. Where can you get burgers besides Bob's? Trader Joe's, that's where. Dan likes to shop there for foods that will please his family and provide nutritious meals while not busting his budget. He enjoys bananas and other fruits, as he explains to you in a voice that is his, not Tina's, but that carries enough of Tina's endearing low-level neurosis that you'll feel like you're at the store with a beloved friend as you drift off to sleep. Also, Dan is mildly concerned that his dog is secretly a fugitive from a Mexican drug cartel but no need to lose any sleep over that. Dan Mintz's new stand-up comedy special, Well-Rounded Entertainer, will be released on June 18th, 2026 on YouTube. Hey Sleepy Heads, is there anyone whose voice you'd like to drift off to, or do you have suggestions on things we could do to aid your slumber? Email us at: sleepwithcelebs@maximumfun.org.
