WWE has their go home shows for Extreme Rules, NXT 2.0 starts to establish their new talents, and AEW has a huge week in New York with some amazing matches!
We have a new WWE Champion, NXT 2.0 debuts as 2.0 main events Dynamite, WWE closes in on Extreme Rules, and AEW is set for a huge week of both Dynamite and Rampage in New York. Plus, my thoughts on the latest episode of Dark Side of the Ring....
On this episode, I look at the fallout from All Out, the changing landscape of professional wrestling, and another discussion on how both WWE and AEW need to do better by their women's divisions,
Returns aplenty in the wrestling world, but none bigger than CM Punk. Summerslam fall out, a revitalized Smackdown women's division, and what the hell did they do to Karrion Kross? Plus, whats next for NXT, and All Out is on the horizon!
This month on A Mark On History, we take a look at one of the most important promos of the last decade, the CM Punk Pipebomb. What did it mean to fans when it happened, and how does it stand the test of time over 10 years later. Join me as I look back on the "shoot" promo from June of 2011.
We're back after a brief break, and on this episode we have some AAA talk following TripleAMania, the debut of AEW Rampage featuring a big title change, and the state of NXT as cuts are made, and changes are on the way. Plus more from the world of professional wrestling.
Releases, rumors, returns, and debuts. Following Money in the Bank, WWE sets there sights on the Summerslam build with a big return, and an underwhelming one. AEW looks set on adding two HUGE names to their roster, with possibly a third following a surprising release. Carrion Cross makes the main roster in disappointing fashion leading into a big TakeOver match up. And the Baron Corbin thing sucks!
An amazing appearance at Impact's Slammiversary event is bookended by the announcement of a not so amazing appearance coming up this week on WWE television. Things are heating up in AEW as we make our way to All Out in September. Money in the Bank is on the horizon, and NXT continues to tease Samoa Joe in a program with almost anyone and everyone.
The first in a monthly feature that will focus on storylines, matches and more from wrestling's past. The debut episode talks about the formation of the nWo 25 years after the fact, and how it changed the wrestling landscape from a fan's perspecive.
Money in the Bank is a week away, and we get more qualifiers for the men and women's matches. The Omega/Page program heats up in a big way on Dynamite, a new team debuts in the Women's division on Smackdown, and a clerical error sets up a MASSIVE debut in AEW. Plus, Matt Riddle is an absolute delight on Raw, and the Joe/Cross tease continues on NXT
This week I talk about the four really strong title programs on Raw, Smackdown, AEW, and NXT. AEW closes out their 15 month run at Daily's Place with an incredible main event. NXT builds to Great American Bash, and the Money in the Bank qualifying continues with a surprise return and a great match between Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn.
WWE sets up their title programs for Money in the Bank, and start laying out their qualifying matches. AEW returns to Saturday night with a fantastic main event, and NXT continues to tease us with potential Samoa Joe matches, Plus, the monthly tradition of WWE talent being released!
A quick hit on WWE's Hell in the Cell show, and some thoughts on a few other things from the past week. I apologize for the audio on this one. I had to record on my phone due to being in Covid isolation.
NWA announces an all women's PPV, Triple H says some really stupid stuff, NXT gets set for Takeover: In Your House, and the WWE mid-card scene is absolute trash!
The wrestling world goes crazy with releases and debuts, a huge week of big shows is on the horizon, AEW Double or Nothing follow up, and I forgot who Johnny Gargano was! Plus more on WWE, NXT, AEW, NJPW, and even some NWA this week.
I give my predictions for AEW Double or Nothing, talk some WWE Title picture, as well as some interesting tidbits involving New Japan, plus more.
We're back with a new format! This week I touch on World Titles in Impact, New Japan, NXT, and on Raw and Smackdown. As well, Stadium Stampede is a go for AEW Double or Nothing, and MLW is doing something very unique leading into their next season of shows, plus more WWE, NXT, and AEW talk.
After a few weeks away, we're back with a new episode talking Blood and Guts, major title programs all around the wrestling world, more inter-promotional cooperation, and a new direction for the podcast.
Hey guys, just wanted to drop a quick update on the status of Selling The Mark.
The Wrestlemania fallout begins with talent releases, a commentary shuffle, and an episode of Raw I actually enjoyed! Plus, Dynamite delivers a fantastic tag team championship match, and continues to build to Blood & Guts on May 5.
It's WRESTLEMANIA!!! And NXT!!! Spread out over FOUR nights as the WWE tries to monopolize all my free time. Also, another great episode of Dynamite as we finally get a promise of delivery for the Blood and Guts match
NXT has their Take Over go home show, an excellent addition of AEW Dynamite, and despite their best (?) efforts, the build to Wrestlemania feels really underwhemlming.
The Fastlane Fallout speeds up the Road to Wrestlemania, NXT continues to build to a huge Take Over event, and TSN does it to me again!!
Its another week of go home shows from the WWE as we get set for Fastlane, a spectacular main event on Dynamite, NXT books their main event program with a tried and tested WWE method, and I dip into both MLW and OVW this week, plus more.
We're talking AEW Revolution, and the fallout from in on Dynamite, new titles in NXT, and just what is the upcoming WWE Fastlane card going to look like? This and more on a new Selling the Mark
AEW gives us lots to anticipate going into Revolution, including the tease of a new big signing! We have ANOTHER new WWE Champion on Raw, Apollo Crews has a new gimmick I find less than ideal, and I do a live face turn on the Cameron Grimes character!
The AEW Women's Eliminator rolls on, I add NXT to my weekly viewing, Raw and Smackdown are less than ideal coming off the Elimination Chamber Event, and more!
Elimination Chamber has come and gone, and we have a new champion, although it might not be who you were thinking.
WWE gives us two Elimination Chamber go home shows, including a new wrinkle on the Raw side, AEW announces a huge main event for Revolution, some great matches from Japan in the Women's Eliminator Tournament, I get angry at the end of the show, and more!
A betrayal, a debut, and five really good matches highlight NXT Vengeance Day, as I give my thoughts on what I saw, and what might be coming down the line.
We get two Elimination Chamber matches set up despite WWE's weird new production methods, the "Forbidden Door" opens even wider on Dynamite, and my dog takes the loudest drink of water you could imagine.
The wrestling world implodes as New Japan enter the AEW ecosystem, we get fallout from the Rumble, a 45 second Hulk Hogan clip triggers me, and more as the Road to Wrestlemania is officially underway!
Its a full week of go home shows with both Beach Break and the Royal Rumble on the horizon. Dynamite has a spectacular main event, while Smackdown does not. The WWE continues to book the women's divisions terribly, and Jon Moxley pays a visit to New Japan!
This week we cover the ongoing builds towards the Royal Rumble, the current AEW Rankings, new contenders for the Impact Wrestling Tag Titles, what to do with poor Ricochet, and more!
The debut episode!!Host Corey Mitchell touches on the latest developments from WWE Raw, Smackdown, and AEW Dynamite, including current title programs, and his opinion on the state of the various women's divisions.
