WWE Raw 3/20/23 full show review with JDfromNY. Roman Reigns FINALLY shows up on Monday Night Raw, and confronts Cody Rhodes. On the March 13 episode of WWE Raw, Cody Rhodes gave an emotional speech aimed at Roman Reigns and The Bloodline. In response, Paul Heyman, the Special Counsel for Reigns, announced that Reigns would be appearing on the following week's episode to address the situation directly. Rhodes played a significant part in bringing together Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens, who are long-time friends, to battle The Bloodline. This has raised the tension surrounding the upcoming WWE Universal Championship Match at WrestleMania to a new level. Also, on tonight's show. Logan Paul with a LIVE episode of "Impaulsive" ahead of his Wrestlemania 39 match with Seth Rollins, and Austin Theory goes one on one with Montez Ford of the Street Profits
Tony Khan has come under fire this week for booking a "dream match" between El Hijo del Vikingo, and Kenny Omega on AEW Dynamite Wednesday but why? Major reasons why he booked this match, and what people may or may not be thinking. Also, the Wrestlemania 39 Night 1 Main event may be jeopardized because of backstage politics, and why the decision is easy on what the main event actually should be (here's a hint, it should NOT be Charlotte Flair vs Rhea Ripley). Triple H also wants two world championships by the time we get to Summerslam, and why he had a thought of getting rid of the WWE Universal Championship when he took over WWE Creative. WWE SmackDown 3/17/23 review with JDfromNY on Off The Script. We are inching closer to WrestleMania 39! Drew McIntyre and Sheamus will battle it out to see who will challenge GUNTHER for the WWE Intercontinental Championship on night one of the big event. With both men having scored simultaneous pinfalls in a Fatal Five-Way match last week, this match is sure to be intense as the two friends are forced to face off in singles action. Also on tonight's show, we'll see a confrontation between Sami Zayn and Jey Uso following Uso's betrayal of Zayn on "WWE Raw" last week. Zayn and Kevin Owens have been fighting their own battles against the Bloodline since Elimination Chamber, but with Zayn outnumbered once again, will Owens finally come to his aid, or might Cody Rhodes step in once again? In addition, we could see potential WrestleMania storylines play out on tonight's episode, such as Rhodes potentially challenging Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, Austin Theory defending his United States Championship against John Cena, or Bobby Lashley taking on Bray Wyatt, who has been missing in action for several weeks. And let's not forget about the brewing conflict between Dominik and Rey Mysterio, which could also come to a head on tonight's show.
AEW Dynamite 3/15/23 review with JDfromNY. AEW Dynamite for March 15th, 2023 is LIVE from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada! Hometown heroes Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega are set to clash in a high-stakes championship match, as "The Demo God" Sammy Guevara and Daniel Garcia team up Jericho to take on Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks, and The House Of Black, Malakai Black, Brody King, and Buddy Matthews for the AEW World Trios Championship. Also, Jade Cargill will defend her AEW TBS Championship in an open challenge match, with rumors swirling that Canada-born Taya Valkyrie could answer the call. Plus, Orange Cassidy will defend the rebranded AEW International Championship against WWE Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett, and Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta take on "Hangman" Adam Page and Dark Order's John Silver and Alex Reynolds. Meanwhile, AEW World Champion MJF will be in Winnipeg to celebrate his birthday with his re-Bar Mitzvah, and Ruby Soho, Toni Storm, and Saraya of The Outcasts will speak in front of the AEW fans. And finally, QT Marshall will present the debut episode of QTV, following his successful involvement in helping Powerhouse Hobbs capture the AEW TNT Championship from Wardlow last week.
Wrestling news for March 16th, 2023 with JDfromNY on Off The Script. AEW talent supposedly "want out" after a Darby Allin promo on AEW Dynamite last night got a little too real, exposing some on the AEW roster may not want to be there but instead go back to WWE. Why was this allowed to said, is there any truth to it, and why leadership in AEW continues to be a problem. The stories of Vince McMahon seem to be happening weekly now, as news of him being backstage last week during Monday Night Raw continues to be talked about. Dave Meltzer reported that there is more to that story that WWE doesn't want you to know, and Sports Illustrated reported the same thing but cleverly tried to cover up the story and deny any Vince McMahon involvement. Also, Triple H loves Gunther but claims he isn't ready for a major match with Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania. What I believe Triple H is waiting for, and what Triple H is trying to say. In addition, Edge will call out Finn Bálor to settle their long-standing feud, with a rumored Hell In A Cell match planned for Wrestlemania, while "Raw" Women's Champion Bianca Belair takes on Chelsea Green in a non-title bout. Plus, The Judgment Day's Dominik Mysterio and Damian Priest battle Johnny Gargano and Dexter Lumis in tag team action, and Cody Rhodes calls out SmackDown Superstar LA Knight as LA Knight continues to lobby for a Wrestlemania 39 match in Los Angeles.
It appears that another weekly AEW TV show is coming sooner than later, according to a new report from F4Wonline. The news was first revealed on the Saturday edition of the "Mat Men" podcast by Andrew Zarian. This is a huge mistake for AEW, and Tony Khan as they have not even begun the process of fixing what they already on have across TNT, and TBS. Also, WWE is meeting with potential buyers for the first time in April for a possible sale of the company but we already know its not about the sale of the company for Vince McMahon. Becky Lynch has major plans going into the Summer months with a shocking heel turn, and opponent lined up for her. AEW is in the process of sitting down with The Elite ( Matt, Nick Jackson, and Kenny Omega) to sign them to new long term contracts. GCW is the latest hurdle for AEW and their "Fight Forever" video game as GCW is filing a trademark on "Fight Forever", and Rey Mysterio picks the man who will induct him into the WWE Hall Of Fame.
The boyhood dream came true.....no I'm definitely not talking about Shawn Michaels - I'm referring to myself, Louis & nine trips across the pond to watch WWF/WWE. This was originally recorded in September 2020 & released as a regular episode of Mid South Moments, but there's too much good stuff (arrogant) for this to be lost in the archives forever. So listen in to hear a supercut of highlights from those epic trips. I've even included the Mid South Wrestling review from September 15th 1984 featuring a video package on the Fantastics & the debut of 'Master G'.
WWE SmackDown 3/10/23 full show review with JDfromNY! On tonight's episode, we'll be covering all the action and drama from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, including a high-stakes five-way match with major implications for WrestleMania 39. Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, Karrion Kross, Xavier Woods, and LA Knight will be battling it out for a shot at the WWE Intercontinental Championship at Wrestlemania 39 against GUNTHER. Also, Braun Strowman and Ricochet are looking for redemption after their unsuccessful challenge for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship. They'll be facing off against Erik and Ivar of The Viking Raiders, who previously attacked Drew McIntyre. And finally, The Bloodline saga, as Jey Uso seemingly reunites with his family by attacking Sami Zayn on WWE Raw. What's next for Roman Reigns, Jimmy Uso, and the rest of the faction? How will Roman Reigns react after what Jey Uso did to Sami Zayn on Monday Night Raw?
AEW Dynamite 3/88/23 full show review with JDfromNY. Get ready for the FALLOUT from the critically acclaimed AEW Revolution PPV. Tonight's AEW Dynamite for March 8th, 2023 comes to you live from the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California. According to AEW booker Tony Khan, we're in for one of their biggest box office attractions yet. The night's main event sees Orange Cassidy defend his AEW All-Atlantic Championship against Jay Lethal. Lethal is out for revenge after he and Cassidy came up short in their quest for the AEW World Tag Team titles at Revolution. The champion might be on a winning streak, but with rising stars like Jungle Boy and Ricky Starks on the rise, a heel All-Atlantic Champion could be just what the doctor ordered. Also on the card, Wardlow defends his TNT Championship against Powerhouse Hobbs. The champion may be feeling a bit off his game after all his belongings, including the TNT belt, were stolen from his rental car. Chris Jericho is looking to bounce back after recent losses when he teams up with Sammy Guevara and Daniel Garcia to face off against AR Fox and Top Flight. Ruby Soho turned heel at Revolution and is set to face off against AEW original Skye Blue. With a victory, she has some explaining to do on the mic. Jon Moxley is back in the ring after a grueling Texas Death match in San Francisco and is teaming up with Claudio Castagnoli to take on Dark Order members John Silver & Alex Reynolds. Finally, Hangman Page is expected to make an appearance on the show after his world championship victory at Revolution. Join JDfromNY for the AEW Dynamite Review on Off The Script!
WWE lied to you, and the wrestling media again Monday when Vince McMahon was reportedly backstage to simply visit John Cena. Instead, we find out, he sat in the "Gorilla Position" all night, and as far as I am concerned, had a major hand in the booking of Monday Night Raw. This is a major problem no one seems to care about. Also, WWE has announced Bad Bunny will host WWE Backlash in Puerto Rico on May 5th. It will mark the first time WWE holds an event in Puerto Rico since New Years Revolution in January 2005. Other top stories include Triple H wanting to "stack" Wrestlemania 40 next year because of the major milestone. WWE is looking to legalize betting for the entire product, WWE has major plans for Solo Sikoa possibly to feud with Roman Reigns as they see him as a major main event star. Ronda Rousey could completely miss Wrestlemania 39, MJF and the water incident at AEW Revolution, Kenny Omega contract status according to Tony Khan, and FTR, have they or have they not signed new AEW contracts?

WWE Raw 3/623 review with JDfromNY. Tonight's WWE Raw is the third episode during the six-week build towards WrestleMania 39. John Cena is set to return to WWE tonight, and United States Champion Austin Theory plans to confront him. JDfromNY shares his thoughts on the possibility of Cena winning the US title from Theory and what that could mean for WrestleMania 39. In addition to the potential Cena vs. Theory confrontation, tonight's episode of Raw also features some interesting matchups and storyline developments. Raw Women's Champion Bianca Belair will be in action against Carmella, after defeating her tag team partner last week. The Bloodline will also be featured, with Sami Zayn taking on Jimmy Uso and Kevin Owens facing Solo Sikoa. There is speculation that Owens and Zayn will challenge the Usos for the WWE tag team titles at WrestleMania, but their relationship is still fractured and Jey Uso is currently absent from The Bloodline. Meanwhile, Becky Lynch and Lita are the new WWE women's tag team champions after an assist from Trish Stratus. It remains to be seen if Damage CTRL will seek a rematch and how Trish will factor into WrestleMania plans.

On today's Off the Script with JDfromNY, we discuss the latest developments in the potential WrestleMania matchup for Brock Lesnar. According to WrestleVotes, the idea for Brock Lesnar vs. Omos came from a powerful person who pushed it through. We also explore Lesnar's other potential opponents for WrestleMania, including Stone Cold Steve Austin, Roman Reigns, Gunther, Bobby Lashley, and Bray Wyatt. While the current plan is for Lesnar to face Omos, there is speculation about an undisclosed backup plan. WrestleVotes hinted that Vince McMahon was involved in pushing for this match, although sources close to Lesnar have suggested otherwise. Also, UFC's parent company Endeavor recently held an earnings call for the fourth quarter and full year of 2022, during which CEO Ari Emmanuel was asked about the possibility of the company purchasing WWE. In response, Emmanuel praised WWE as an "unbelievable product" and acknowledged their longstanding relationship with the company. However, he also stated that Endeavor is currently focused on de-leveraging their debt and is not looking to change their leverage position by acquiring WWE at this time. This statement suggests that Endeavor is unlikely to pursue the reported $9 billion purchase of WWE from Vince McMahon, as they prioritize reducing their debt. And, finally, WWE "legend" Goldberg has expressed his desire to step back into the ring for one more match under the WWE banner. Goldberg has only wrestled once in 2022, which was against Roman Reigns at Elimination Chamber where he lost to Roman Reigns. In 2021, he worked three matches, losing to Drew McIntyre at the Royal Rumble and Bobby Lashley at SummerSlam before beating Lashley at Crown Jewel. Prior to the Reigns match, he hinted that it could be his last time wrestling. Goldberg recently spoke to Sports Illustrated and was asked about the possibility of wrestling again. He stated that he feels WWE owes him a retirement match, but he's not waiting for the phone to ring but what Goldberg fails to understand, is that WWE doesn't owe him anything. WWE SmackDown 3/3/23 full show review with JDfromNY. WWE SmackDown for March 3rd, 2023 comes to you from Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C., and tonight Cody Rhodes finally gets what he's been waiting for as he confronts WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns. But with Reigns' priority being to deal with the Jey Uso problem, will Cody's plan backfire? The stakes are high as Reigns prepares for his WrestleMania match with Cody Rhodes. Meanwhile, Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER led Imperium to victory in a six-man tag team match last week, catching the eye of Drew McIntyre who wants a shot at the belt. The Viking Raiders continue to cause trouble for both Drew McIntyre, Sheamus while Becky Lynch and Lita became the new WWE Women's Tag Team Champions. Will they show up on SmackDown for a confrontation with Shayna Baszler and Ronda Rousey, who has Tegan Nox in her sights after being knocked down by her last week? There's plenty more to keep an eye on, including Rey Mysterio's ongoing feud with Dominik, Bobby Lashley's spooky encounter with Bray Wyatt, and LA Knight's spat with the New Day that could possibly lead to another failed sponsorship match at Wrestlemania.

In this episode of With This Ring, we put a final bow on the GWWE list and start our new project of the year, reviewing 1998 WWF. We begin our look at one of the most pivotal years in wrestling history with a double feature, looking at both Royal Rumble and No Way Out: Of Texas 1998. We talk about mini's, Goldust's transformation, the emergence of the Rock, how hot Stone Cold Steve Austin is, Mick Foley's historic Rumble, Mike Tyson and another Undertaker death. We then quickly look at the Cactus Jack/Chainsaw Charlie match that led to attempted murder via dumpster, before moving onto No Way Out. We talk about how No Way Out completed its job of being a bridge towards WrestleMania, but putting all the big stars in one main event leads to a lot of filler on the mid-card. We also talk about how great of a surprise Caribbean legend Savio Vega is. Enjoy the show!
THe boys look at this year's Royal Rumble.
Is Vince McMahon slowly creeping himself back to WWE Creative? Why have their been more changes than originally reported for Wrestlemania 39 if Triple H had his plans already laid out? On today's Off the Script with JDfromNY, we explore the rumors and speculation surrounding Vince McMahon's involvement in the creative direction of Wrestlemania 39. Many fans have been speculating that McMahon has been heavily involved in the planning of the biggest event on WWE's calendar, leading to questions about the potential impact on the overall product, why strange creative decisions have been made, or changed, and the rumor that some within the company believe he is back in the creative department. We delve into the evidence and discuss the reasons behind these rumors, as well as what it could mean for the future of WWE. Also, Kenny Omega contract is a huge topic of discussion as WWE plans to go hard after Kenny Omega. As the current AEW Trios Champions with The Young Bucks, Omega's wrestling contract is set to expire soon, and he will have to make a crucial decision regarding his future. While the feeling in WWE is that signing Omega is a top priority for them, reports suggest that AEW has added time to his contract due to him missing action for nine months last year. However, the extended time frame hasn't been finalized yet. It remains to be seen what Omega will choose and if he will stick with The Young Bucks, who are also up for new contracts at the end of the year. WWE announces King and Queen of the Ring, FTR possibly leaving AEW after heat with the company becomes public on Twitter, and major news on the status of Jeff Hardy, and his DUI case.
