SPEAKING LIFE TO THIS GENERATION AND THE NEXT
God did not promise us a life of ease. We were created with the capacity to feel weak. But one thing is for sure, in our moments of weakness, His power will be revealed. Yes, there are times when we need to acknowledge what we're feeling, but we must also know and understand when to act beyond what we feel and when to look and hope beyond what we see. Last Saturday, we were strengthened by the word of God as we learned that pursuing greatness is costly, and we cannot afford to fight with our flesh. And so, we must also learn to decide to live by the spirit, say no to the enemy, and decide to ask for help instead of isolating ourselves. Amen? Amen! Let's continue resting in the fact that God is with us in every season. And His grace alone is enough for us to keep going!
As we desire to pursue greatness, we must also be ready for the process. Kaya naman ang tanong, are we willing to carry our own cross in order for us to receive our crown? Last Saturday, we were empowered to be reminded that the true formulas to greatness is to do nothing out of selfish ambition. It's about valuing others above ourselves and having the same mindset as Jesus Christ. Amen? Amen!
We live in a world na sarili natin ang madalas nating iniisip. We always have this need na kailangang ma-meet based sa standard ng mundo. And for us to meet our needs and longings to become great, we often forget the One who is greater than us. If we desire to become great, then we must first learn to establish who God is in our lives. That He is the Greatest One. He is the God who can completely satisfy our needs. One of the formulas to greatness is acknowledging that He is more than us. He is the God who can lead us along the path of true greatness and success in life. Amen? Amen!
Happiness comes from outside things but JOY is about inner self. Finding joy amidst our hardships in life may seem impossible, but we were reminded once again that with God, it is indeed possible. Healing starts when we start recognizing our emotions. Kapatid, He sees every pain, tears, and everything that we're going through. And it is our decision on how we want to view our battles in life. Are we going to allow these to stop us from moving forward? Or are we going to choose to find joy from the Lord even when life is hard, and see hardships as an opportunity to grow and mature more in Christ? God is always with us, and He's always working behind the scene. Let's continue to fix our eyes on Jesus and allow Him to put us in a space of preparation to shape us into a person that He wants us to be. Amen? Amen!
Once anger starts to fill your heart, ang hirap nang kumawala. Kapag hindi ito na-address in a right way, dito na magsisimula ang danger nito. When we have unresolved issues such as anger, mas interesado si God sa puso at ikabubuti natin. There may be instances when we must learn to forgive and have healthy boundaries, but we must also not forget those people that we are called to be reconciled with. Magpatawad tayo. Let's step out in faith at matuto muling magmahal. Amen? Amen!
Our curiosity without knowledge usually leads us to plunge into ruin and destruction. There will always be a battle inside of us, and one of those is our battle with our sexual purity. But at the end of the day, it's our decision whether to give in and just allow our flesh to win, OR to choose to live by the Spirit and do what's pleasing in God's eyes. Which one will we choose? Remember, we are not our own. Hindi natin pagmamay-ari ang buhay natin, we are for the Lord. We were bought by the precious blood of Jesus Christ. Amen? Amen!
One of the universal emotions that people have is fear, and it must not be invalidated. But if we don't learn to deal with it, it will paralyze and stop us from moving forward. It will kill our dreams and purpose. Whenever we let our fear reigns, our faith drives away and it causes us to stumble and fall. Just like Peter, let us all take courage to step out of the boat and overcome our fear. Let us choose to fix our eyes on Jesus. It might not be an easy thing for us to do, but we must remember WHO is with us. Jesus is more powerful than the scariest storm we have. He will enable us to turn our WHAT IFs of FEAR into WHAT IFs of FAITH. Choose your what if. Amen? Amen!
Our emotions can sometimes be disabling and hard for us to make the right response especially when it gets the best of us. One of these is the feeling of extreme sadness. As we talked about our first topic of 'From The Inside Out' series, we were reminded through the story of Jeremiah, the weeping prophet, that it's normal to feel extreme sadness. In fact, may tula siyang naisulat sa Book of Lamentations about expressing emotions from their sufferings. Through this book, we cannot deny the fact that there are human sufferings and pain, that we were given a capacity to feel such emotions. But of course, we must also learn to recognize it and know when to stand up again and do what God has called us to do. Amen? Amen!
