Am I really saved? Am I really a child of God? What am I basing my assurance on? We must make sure that we are not just living on imagination. Men and women are very prone to fall in love with the fictions of their imaginations and stumble right off into hell over them. Your trust in God, and what you expect Him to do for you, must be based on truth and not on imagination. And the only reliable and infallible source of truth is the written Word of God.
One common theme I'm not loving in prayer training, and a new way to think.

Shine!LDS AND MEDIUM PODCAST BACKGROUND:I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, or LDS for short. All my life I felt awkward and out of place, not because of my religion, but because of my spiritual gifts. It was hard to combine the idea of what first seemed like two separate worlds. So my whole life I have tried. I have learnt more about my gifts, and stayed faithful to my faith. But then I heard people left the church because it seems impossible to combine the two. So I am here, to try and mend the rift. To show that it is possible to be both LDS and to have, and use, our spiritual gifts. I am not alone on this journey, but my sister, who just is waking up to her spiritual gifts is by my side and she will also share her story.Jesus Christ, our older brother, was a healer. He asked us to love one another. So let´s follow in his footsteps. Please join me on this journey, let´s make a community of strong spiritual LDS, or whatever religion you belong to, and all work together to make this world a better place. If you like what I do, then you can find me here:https://linktr.ee/ldsandmediumIf you have words of support or stories that you anonymously want me to share please write me at ldsandmedium@gmail.com. To all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God. . . . — John 1:12 Because of Jesus and his finished work, all who believe in him are given “the right to become children of God.” In other words, we can become God's permanent sons and daughters. Each of us can be a child of the King, with a loving Father and a family to belong to. The bedrock of my identity is that I have a tender, compassionate, loving heavenly Father whose eyes are always on me. As one of his children, I am engraved on the palms of his hands (Isaiah 49:16). I hope this is true for you as well. Each one of us can be a dearly loved child of God. He describes his beloved children as “the apple of his eye” (Zechariah 2:8). If you are God's child, you know that the light of his face shines on you, brightening your heart and mind, filling you with the warmth of his love and grace, and giving you peace (Numbers 6:24-26). In the Lord's faithful care, we know we are loved, “for the Lord takes delight in his people” (Psalm 149:4). “The Lord delights in those who . . . put their hope in his unfailing love” (Psalm 147:11). The apostle John adds, “See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!” (1 John 3:1). God loves each of us lavishly and generously as a precious son or daughter. Amazing! Lord, thank you that in Jesus we can become your children. Help us each day to remember who we are and whose we are. Amen.

Today's Promise: John 15:16 It's a little hard to wrap your head around this, but the God of the universe chose you. He spoke to your heart and drew you to Himself. Before the world ever began, God chose you to be his child. God chose you to be His child. You had nothing of value to offer God. You were no better than anyone else. There is absolutely no reason for God to choose you, but He did. He chose you and called you to be His child.
Today's Promise: Romans 8:15 Are you living the Christian life as a slave or as an adopted child of God? Your answer to that question has a major impact on your walk with God. The Narrow Junior High Ministry
As we continue to study the Sermon on the Mount, we see Christ elaborate further on how genuine citizens of the kingdom do not practise their righteousness to be seen by others. In Matthew 6:5–8, Jesus addresses the critical distinction between hypocritical and righteous prayer. He shows how prayers motivated by a desire for public admiration or a transactional approach are empty and offensive. Conversely, he emphasises the nature of genuine prayer as intimate communion with the Father, a natural expression of a believer's relationship with God. Jesus underscores the reality that true prayer is not about the perfection of words or the performance of piety, but is rather an exercise of faith rooted in a transformed heart. We consider this text under two broad headings: 1. Hypocritical prayer (vv. 5, 7) a. Practice of piety b. Perfection of words 2. Righteous prayer (vv. 6, 8)

Today's Promise: Galatians 3:26 Salvation is all about what Christ did for you, not what you did to earn your salvation. Jesus' death and resurrection finished the work needed to bring you salvation. All you have to do is come to Him in faith. When you put your faith in Jesus as Savior, God wraps you up in Him. The Bible calls this being "in Christ." His righteousness now covers you. His standing before God becomes your standing. You are clothed in the sonship of Jesus. Because you are in Christ, you are a child of God. All the riches of Christ become yours.

What is regeneration, and how can one know if it has taken place in their life? In this sermon on regeneration titled “A Child of God in Christ,” Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones tackles these questions as he leads through key passages in 1 John and Galatians. Dr. Lloyd-Jones systematically shows how salvation is proven in the life of a believer. Regeneration occurs when God implants spiritual life into people. Authentic regeneration proves itself in those who are living under the lordship of Jesus Christ as they outwardly demonstrate His holiness. But what does it look like? A genuine believer will show this regeneration in their love of other believers, conviction over sin, and desire for spiritual things. No one can produce this on their own. Regeneration means union with Christ. As Jesus taught in the gospels, a believer's relationship with Him is similar to the interaction of a vine and its branches—just as a branch cannot thrive or survive without the support from the vine, change in the life of a believer cannot take place apart from that person's union with Christ.
