Obendrauf nennen wir euch unsere Traumunterkünfte an genau diesen Orten (u. a. Irland, Borkum, Bretagne).
Love is in the air as Valentine's Day approaches, but while Sarah and Amy are navigating a new romantic milestone, Susie is mostly just finding the whole shift deeply annoying. The duo dives into the social dynamics of the season by dissecting the functional differences between friendship and community, exploring why we need both even if they serve wildly different purposes in our lives. The conversation takes a sharp turn into "fitness cults" as Sarah realizes her old workout routine was less about health and more about a non-religious devotion to a gym leader, before pivoting to a bizarre news story involving a WWI artillery shell and a very delicate emergency room extraction. Naturally, this leads to a candid and hilarious debate over the 69 position; Sarah maintains it is an overrated logistical nightmare, but after Susie's passionate defense, the pair concludes that Sarah's distaste is likely just a result of poor execution.00:00 - New Relationship Dynamics and Valentine's Day Expectations10:19 - Understanding the Different Needs of Friendship and Community16:44 - Film Students and the Decline of Attention Spans24:41 - Manage Your Money and Cancel Subscriptions with Rocket Money26:46 - The Problem with Grading on a Curve in Academia30:47 - A Bizarre Emergency Room Visit: Unexploded Artillery Shell42:07 - Amplify Your Everyday with Thrive Cosmetics and Community Support44:56 - Sarah and Susie Debate the Logistics of the 69 Position49:57 - Experiencing Awe: Aquanauts and the Underwater Overview Effect54:16 - Why Public Dancing is Disappearing and Overcoming EmbarrassmentBrain Candy Podcast Website - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/Brain Candy Podcast Book Recommendations - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/books/Brain Candy Podcast Merchandise - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/candy-store/Brain Candy Podcast Candy Club - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/product/candy-club/Brain Candy Podcast Sponsor Codes - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/support-us/Brain Candy Podcast Social Media & Platforms:Brain Candy Podcast LIVE Interactive Trivia Nights - https://www.youtube.com/@BrainCandyPodcast/streamsBrain Candy Podcast Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastHost Susie Meister Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterHost Sarah Rice Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBrain Candy Podcast on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodBrain Candy Podcast Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/braincandy (JOIN FREE - TONS OF REALITY TV CONTENT)Brain Candy Podcast Sponsors, partnerships, & Products that we love:Let Rocket Money help you reach your financial goals faster. Today's Uncertainties Call for a Deepening Personal Relationship with God Through Prayer, Fasting, and Listening MESSAGE SUMMARY: There are times when you need clarity, understanding, knowledge, and insights from the Lord about the specific issues that you are facing. The Lord will speak to you, but sometimes it takes your listening and fasting to hear Him. For example, when Joel received a Word when the land was to be destroyed, he called a fast (i.e. Joel 1:14): “Consecrate a fast; call a solemn assembly. Gather the elders and all the inhabitants of the land to the house of the LORD your God, and cry out to the LORD.”. Some things you are facing in your life must be dealt with by both prayer and fasting. Fasting releases a spiritual power – in your weakness, God is made strong in your life. Daniel's prayer, from Daniel 9:3-5, provides a context for asking direction from God: “Then I turned my face to the Lord God, seeking him by prayer and pleas for mercy with fasting and sackcloth and ashes. I prayed to the LORD my God and made confession, saying, ‘O Lord, the great and awesome God, who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, we have sinned and done wrong and acted wickedly and rebelled, turning aside from your commandments and rules.'". After Jesus responded to the Apostles request of “teach us to pray” by providing the “Lord's Prayer”, Jesus instructed the Apostles and us, in Matthew 6:17-18, how to fast: “But when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, that your fasting may not be seen by others but by your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.". Our fasting will be rewarded as a deepening link to God in our personal relationship with Him. TODAY'S PRAYER: Father, I confess that when difficulties and trials come into my life, large or small, I mostly grumble and complain. I realize the trials James talks about are not necessarily “walls,” but they are difficult to bear, nonetheless. Fill me with such a vision of a transformed life, O God, that I might actually consider it “pure joy” when you bring trials my way. I believe, Lord. Help my unbelief. In Jesus' name, amen. Scazzero, Peter. Emotionally Healthy Spirituality Day by Day (p. 94). Zondervan. Kindle Edition. TODAY'S AFFIRMATION: Today, Because of who I am in Jesus Christ, I will not be driven by Lust. Rather, I will abide in the Lord's Perfect Provision. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5). SCRIPTURE REFERENCE (ESV): Joel 1:13-16; Matthew 6:16; Daniel 9:3-7; Psalms 114:1-8. WILDEST. EPISODE. EVER.Chloe Kreams is on the show, and this episode is full-send chaos. She's funny, sharp, and brutally honest about what she likes, what she's curious about, and how far she's willing to take it when the vibe is right. THERE'S SO MUCH I CAN'T EVEN MENTION HERE OMG. Strap-on energy, group-scene madness, and taboo territory that somehow stays hilarious. We get into her collab with Gia Derza, why she proudly leans into being a hairy creator (bush, pits, all of it), and how she thinks about exploring without shame while still owning her boundaries. Towards the end of the episode we get into the wild stuff fans ask for on OnlyFans — but this episode is truly all about Chloe being Chloe: bold, unfiltered, and out of control.Strap in, strap on, strap down and enjoy EP 212: "Cross The Streams" with Chloe Kreams.Watch the video version of the show on YouTube YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIuCkOl_XummXVdu1t3XOuQFollow Chloe Kreams Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/chloe_kreams (@chloe_kreams)Follow the showInstagram: https://instagram.com/sexparty.fm (@sexparty.fm)Twitter: https://twitter.com/sexpartyfm (@sexpartyfm)Follow Dustin Instagram: https://instagram.com/dustin.rybka (@dustin.rybka)Twitter: https://twitter.com/dustinrybka (@dustinrybka)Sex Party with Dustin Rybka
Most men believe porn addiction and objectification come from having too much sexual desire. That explanation feels convenient—but it's incomplete. And for many men, it keeps them stuck. In this episode of No More Desire, I break down the real psychology of objectification and explain how porn trains men to avoid vulnerability—not because they're weak or immoral, but because their nervous system learned that distance feels safer than connection.Porn addiction is not about lust. It's about emotional regulation. It's about power, safety, shame, and unmet relational needs. And until we understand the emotional and neurological systems underneath porn addiction, we'll keep fighting the symptom instead of healing the cause. In this episode, I walk you through why objectification intensifies when you're lonely, stressed, anxious, or ashamed—and why white-knuckling, willpower, and self-judgment only fuel the cycle. Using psychology, neuroscience, and grounded spiritual insight, I explain how compulsive sexual behavior functions as a coping strategy, not a character flaw. We'll explore how fantasy becomes a substitute for intimacy, how porn addiction hijacks emotional needs like importance and power, and why shame does not kill lust—it strengthens the system that creates it.I also share practical tools that help men retrain their nervous system, reduce sexual objectification, and recover from porn addiction without repression or shame. This episode is not about eliminating attraction. It's about elevating perception, restoring presence, and building a healthier relationship with your inner world. If you've ever wondered:Why you objectify women even when you don't want toWhy porn addiction gets worse during loneliness or stressWhy shame keeps pulling you back instead of setting you freeHow to heal porn addiction at the nervous-system levelHow to stop objectifying women without suppressing desireThis conversation will change the way you see porn addiction—and yourself. You don't need more willpower. You need leadership over your inner world. If this episode resonates, that's probably not an accident. You're not broken—but parts of you may be carrying pain that deserves leadership, not punishment.Stay present. Stay curious. And keep choosing leadership over reaction.Link to Blog Article for this EpisodeIf you're ready to build the mindset and lifestyle that lead to long-term freedom from porn addiction, join the No More Desire free online community and connect with men who are committed to real recovery. During last year's PEGS Europe, industry experts gathered on a panel to discuss the future of biologic therapeutics. The panel kicked off with a presentation on 50 years of monoclonals, from hybridomas to next-gen antibody therapeutics, followed by a conversation featuring Paul Carter, Ph.D., Genentech Fellow of Antibody Engineering, G. Jonah Rainey, Ph.D., associate vice president of Eli Lilly and Company, and Janine Schuurman, Ph.D., biotech consultant at Lust for Life Science B.V. Moderated by Daniel Chen, M.D., Ph.D., founder and CEO of Synthetic Design Lab, the discussion centered around whether half-life extended peptides will eventually replace multispecific antibodies.
On this episode of The Brain Candy Podcast, Sarah Rice and Susie Meister discuss the viral scientific study regarding LEGO digestion. We explore the pediatric research that determined exactly how long it takes for a swallowed LEGO brick to pass through the digestive system and the hilarious acronym scientists created for the process. The conversation then shifts to the rise and fall of 90s fitness icon Susan Powter. We discuss the documentary detailing how the Stop the Insanity spokesperson went from leading a multimillion-dollar wellness empire to working in the gig economy, and the complex legal battles that led to her decline. We also investigate the rare medical condition known as Foreign Accent Syndrome, where patients suddenly speak with an unlearned accent. Finally, we break down the conspiracy theory involving the San Francisco 49ers and their practice facility, examining the speculation that toxic field conditions are contributing to the NFL team's high injury rate. Plus, Sarah shares stories from her girls' weekend and Susie celebrates her new bowling ball ownership.Brain Candy Podcast Website - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/Brain Candy Podcast Book Recommendations - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/books/Brain Candy Podcast Merchandise - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/candy-store/Brain Candy Podcast Candy Club - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/product/candy-club/Brain Candy Podcast Sponsor Codes - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/support-us/Brain Candy Podcast Social Media & Platforms:Brain Candy Podcast LIVE Interactive Trivia Nights - https://www.youtube.com/@BrainCandyPodcast/streamsBrain Candy Podcast Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastHost Susie Meister Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterHost Sarah Rice Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBrain Candy Podcast on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodBrain Candy Podcast Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/braincandy (JOIN FREE - TONS OF REALITY TV CONTENT)Brain Candy Podcast Sponsors, partnerships, & Products that we love:Get 40% off your first box PLUS get a free item in every box for life when you go to https://www.hungryroot.com/braincandy and use code braincandyThis episode is sponsored by Betterhelp. Marriage [and spiritual growth] are hard, but it comes down to practicing a few simple things. Simple doesn't mean easy. Often it's actually difficult. Patrick LencioniHome Church QuestionsIdentity First:Peter calls believers “sojourners and exiles” again in this passage. How does remembering your identity in Christ as distinct from the world change the way you view temptation and purity? The Real Battle:Verse 11 says fleshly desires “wage war against the soul.” What are some ways you've seen corrupt desire shift from a momentary temptation into something that affects your spiritual vitality? It is a choice betwen life and death!“Abstain” as a Volitional Act of Self-Control:The word “abstain” implies holding back fully—have real and full control. It is taking seriously that we are volitional beings. What does biblical self-control look like in real life (not just avoiding sin, but actively fighting)?Culture vs. Christ:Where do you feel the strongest pressure from today's “me first” culture? How does that pressure show up in what you consume, desire, or justify?Purity and a Winsome Witness:Peter connects our conduct to evangelism. Why do you think the credibility of the gospel is often judged by the purity and character of Christians? Talk about why that should not matter, but it still does. When Accused Wrongly:Verse 12 says unbelievers often harshly judge Christians as evildoers or at least believe we have a “Strange Religion”. How should Christians respond when we're misunderstood or accused—especially in moral areas?Practical Next Step:What is one daily habit (or weekly practice) that would help you “keep your conduct honorable” and strengthen your spiritual readiness this week?UPG FOCUS: The Northern Zaza or Türkiye (Turkey)The Northern Zaza are a Kurdish people group living in eastern Turkey who follow a unique form of Islam shaped by mysticism and older traditions. They have faced long-standing marginalization and currently have no known believers, though some gospel resources exist in their language. Pray that God would open hearts, reveal Christ to them, and send faithful workers to share the hope of the gospel.FinancesWeekly Budget 34,615Giving For 01/25 28,180Giving For 02/01 378,325YTD Budget 1,073,077Giving 1,363,275 OVER/(UNDER) 290,198 Souper SundayFellowship, we're collecting food items for Bethlehem House TODAY! In this message, Pastor Matthew walks through Jesus' hard but hope-filled words on lust, divorce, and the way we see other people and ourselves. In a culture saturated with sexualized images and built-in comparison, Jesus exposes more than outward behavior; He goes after the heart that turns image-bearers into objects and spouses into options. If you're weary of secret battles, weighed down by shame, or simply hungry to see others with more honor and less suspicion, this sermon is for you. Jesus is not calling you to a beige, desireless life, but to redeemed desire and a renewed way of seeing.
If the Forsaken are more than villains—if they embody human vice—what sins define them? In Part 2 of our Seven Deadly Sins series, the Black Tower Podcast assigns Greed, Lust, Gluttony, and Sloth to the Forsaken using book canon evidence, core motivations, and the choices that lead to their downfall. We break down Graendal, Rahvin, Aginor, and Bel'al, explore Forsaken who don't fit cleanly, and debate where figures like Ishamael and Lanfear truly belong.

Juliana Marie goes all in — in real life and on camera. She's a mainstream performer and creator who was already living the chaos before the industry: real-life glory hole adventures, orgies, and group play long before she ever shot a scene. That fearless “head first” energy is the entire episode. She's only been in mainstream for a little over a year, but her range is wild: switch dynamics, dom/sub flips, bondage on both sides of the rope, ball-busting, wrestling, and the kind of playful violence that somehow stays hot. She also talks the Vegas catastrophe that changed everything, plus what she's chasing next — including a trip to Colombia.Fast, feral, and fun as hell. His work challenges men to stop blaming, pleasing, or trying to fix the relationship externally, and instead return to grounded masculine leadership as the true source of relational harmony.GS distils this work into the Masculine Blueprint—a practical framework built on responding rather than reacting, providing clear structure, and creating emotional, physical, and financial safety. J.F. León nos habla de los parecidos razonables de las canciones 'Are You Gonna Be My Girl' de Jet, que guarda similitudes rítmicas con el sonido de 'Lust for Life', el conocido tema de Iggy Pop.
It is the devil who plants into the prideful the lust for honor, turning their hearts to wickedness and away from the truth of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Same.

We discuss the Elizabeth Smart documentary about her kidnapping and miraculous rescue, and the complicated nature of healing from that trauma. We learn about a graduate student who was offended when people in the department asked him to stop microwaving his "pungent" food, so he sued the school claiming he was discriminated against. We talk about the people who created a secret apartment in the mall and lived there for a long time without being detected, why they did it, and whether we love it or are annoyed by it. Susie talks about a woman who was busted for drunk driving and drug possession, but handled it in a hilarious way.Brain Candy Podcast Website - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/Brain Candy Podcast Book Recommendations - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/books/Brain Candy Podcast Merchandise - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/candy-store/Brain Candy Podcast Candy Club - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/product/candy-club/Brain Candy Podcast Sponsor Codes - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/support-us/Brain Candy Podcast Social Media & Platforms:Brain Candy Podcast LIVE Interactive Trivia Nights - https://www.youtube.com/@BrainCandyPodcast/streamsBrain Candy Podcast Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastHost Susie Meister Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterHost Sarah Rice Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBrain Candy Podcast on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodBrain Candy Podcast Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/braincandy (JOIN FREE - TONS OF REALITY TV CONTENT)Brain Candy Podcast Sponsors, partnerships, & Products that we love:Visit https://www.carawayhome.com/braincandypod to take an additional 10% off your next purchase!Head to https://cozyearth.com and use my code BRAINCANDYBOGO to get these pj's for you and someone you love!Get $30 off your first box - PLUS free Croissants for life - when you go to https://wildgrain.com/braincandy to start your subscription today!See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

In this invited lecture at Marist College, hosted by the Catholic Studies Program as part of their Marcelin Lecture Series, I narrate some of the key points and developments in the story of how we ended up with the current list of the Seven Deadly Sins, which are: Gluttony, Lust, Greed, Sloth, Wrath, Envy, and Pride. Originally, these start out as the Eight Capital Vices, a list which includes sadness, acedia, and vainglory, and which does not include envy. So, how did we end up with the list we know today? The story involves Christian monks in the Egyptian desert, Benedictine monks, a reluctant pope, poets, scholastic professors, confessors, and mystics, and ranges over a millennium of thinkers and texts. In the process, I discuss some of the key players: Evagrius Ponticus, John Cassian, Gregory I, Alcuin, Peter Lombard, Thomas Aquinas, and Dante Alighieri This portion of the talk discusses the treatments of the seven deadly sins by poets ranging from Prudentius to Chaucer and Dante, and by mystics like St. John of the Cross. We also conclude by examining a few additional topics raised by questions from the audience.
Sarah is all hot and bothered for the "gay hockey show," Heated Rivalry, and she explains why lesbians would enjoy male on male heat. Susie is all wound up about something totally different: umbrellas. To each their own. We learn about a practice that was created in the 1980s where people dying of AIDS would sell their life insurance policies to investors, and we debate the ethics of betting on someone's death. We discuss the difference in written communication between women and men, and the reason women have to track their punctuation and balance perceived warmth and competence. We find out which celebrities are mentioned the most in pop songs, and the three factors that can increase your chances of being name dropped. Plus, Susie shares big news in the true crime world, where two of the biggest unsolved cases in history have been solved--and the same person (allegedly) did both.Brain Candy Podcast Website - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/Brain Candy Podcast Book Recommendations - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/books/Brain Candy Podcast Merchandise - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/candy-store/Brain Candy Podcast Candy Club - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/product/candy-club/Brain Candy Podcast Sponsor Codes - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/support-us/Brain Candy Podcast Social Media & Platforms:Brain Candy Podcast LIVE Interactive Trivia Nights - https://www.youtube.com/@BrainCandyPodcast/streamsBrain Candy Podcast Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastHost Susie Meister Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterHost Sarah Rice Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBrain Candy Podcast on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodBrain Candy Podcast Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/braincandy (JOIN FREE - TONS OF REALITY TV CONTENT)Brain Candy Podcast Sponsors, partnerships, & Products that we love:Go to https://thrivecausemetics.com/braincandy for an exclusive offer of 20% off your first order.Get $10 off your first month's subscription and free shipping when you go to https://nutrafol.com and enter the promo code BRAINCANDYHead to https://cozyearth.com and use my code BRAINCANDYBOGO to get these pj's for you and someone you love! This episode is a feed drop from Transmissions with Jason Woodbury from Aquarium Drunkard. Here's their original show notes:This week, we have an exceedingly rare interview with Jason Martin, of California dream pop band Starflyer 59. Fermented in the nascent Riverside dream pop underground alongside his brother Ronnie Martin of Joy Electric in the early '90s, Martin's band SF59 released its debut album, Silver, 30 years ago in 1994 on the fledgling Tooth & Nail label. His latest, Lust for Gold, finds him winking knowingly at the title of his 1995 album Gold, a record routinely cited as one of the best shoegaze albums of all-time.Incorporating elements of the band's feedback-drenched early sound, the new album finds the years catching up with a guy who has been singing about being old since he was in his early 20s. From the band's monochromatic album covers to Martin's notoriously sparse interviews—check out the one we did at Aquarium Drunkard for an example—he's always preferred to let the music do the talking. But this talk finds him settling in for a longform chat about his history, his songwriting practice, how familial connections bind his musical projects, and much, much more. Joined by guest co-host/interlocuteur Andrew Horton, this conversation is the most revealing interview to date with Jason Martin of Starflyer 59.---Do you have a Christian rock story to tell? Sarah and Susie are reuniting in Denver again, and they are psyched. Sarah is talking about life hack's she's trying in the new year. So what, who cares. Sarah claims there are five "approved" lesbian haircuts and we learn what they are. There is some special nail polish that is going viral that is supposed to allow you to color coordinate by changing the color magically, but it ends up looking insane, and Sarah is mad about it.Brain Candy Podcast Website - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/Brain Candy Podcast Book Recommendations - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/books/Brain Candy Podcast Merchandise - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/candy-store/Brain Candy Podcast Candy Club - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/product/candy-club/Brain Candy Podcast Sponsor Codes - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/support-us/Brain Candy Podcast Social Media & Platforms:Brain Candy Podcast LIVE Interactive Trivia Nights - https://www.youtube.com/@BrainCandyPodcast/streamsBrain Candy Podcast Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastHost Susie Meister Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterHost Sarah Rice Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBrain Candy Podcast on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodBrain Candy Podcast Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/braincandy (JOIN FREE - TONS OF REALITY TV CONTENT)Brain Candy Podcast Sponsors, partnerships, & Products that we love:Get 40% off your first box PLUS get a free item in every box for life. Sarah's outdoor adventures never stop, and this time she ended up in a ski parade! While Susie has resorted to wearing heated apparel inside. Susie shares the story of Andrea Yates, the woman who killed her five children, and the religious beliefs that made her think she should. Susie is worked up about how grandparents now insist on being called all kinds of weird names and Sarah's got a theory about why they don't want to be called "grandma."
