Fresh reggae mixes presented inna riddim stylee with minimal effects, a little dubbing and that is basically it. Mixes will be themed in some way or another. Track Names should be there for almost all the songs on all the mixes, and available for purchase in some way or another.
Instant classic riddims from the modern era start this mix presented inna LP style. Digital dub singles on 10 inch vinyl records follow. Enjoy!
Selections of 45's from the toolboxes ranging from newer riddims recently acquired to more classic tunes obtained in the earlier days of DJ Green's career. Thanks and big ups to DJ RS2 for keeping the studio door open to run through some riddims and record!
Running through some roots tunes followed with some Steppas inna revival style. Music is Love.
DJ Green's first ever lover's rock riddim mix....let the soulful sounds of sweet reggae artists presented on vinyl set a nice mood and fix any wrong attitude!
Well It has been a year and half of trials and tribulations, and no podcastery, but I will always be coming back to the sweet sweet sounds of vinyl, especially Roots Reggae! So, here is hopefully the beginning of a new reggae leaf with many many DJ Green mixes to follow. Enjoy a healthy selection of 45s and 12 inchers here with a few of the different sub genres of roots reggae. As always, thanks for checkin out what I love to do on the 1200s. Until Next Time!
Healthy selection of 90s beats and rhymes. My first ever stab at a hip hop mix. Long due as Ive had most of these 12 inches for plenty of years. Wish stuff like this still came out. Feel free to comment and let me know if you know new stuff coming out like this. I will gladly check it! Tracklist soon come...Enjoy!
This mix starts out with the Rastaman medley, two 12"s and one 10". Earl Sixteen, Jah Warrior, and Jah Shaka provide this intro then it moves into a riddim section for the rest of the tunes. There are about a dozen riddims, all produced within the last five years, and some new for the time the mix was made, at the beginning of this year. Enjoy the music and feel free to comment. Track Listing soon come!
I made this mix a couple years ago around when I first started having recording capabilities. I figured I would post it because it is not in my usual style, which is more of a one-drop, modern roots, conscious and cultural tunes. This has some of my favorite older dancehall riddims, such as the Bam Bam and Dawn Penn's ultra crucial classic, "No, No, No." Some of the new dancehall riddims were randomly selected during the mix, and some are riddims I like, have more conscious lyrics, or a combination of the latter two. Enjoy this more uptempo mix brought to you by DJ Green in an all vinyl record stylee, quality on purpose...
A one try, non-digital, all vinyl reggae riddim mix with a heavily influenced theme for the more fortunate united states...of mind.
