Welcome back, DT Fam! For this episode, we are diving into one of the scenes I wrote largely inspired by the play parties hosted by two dear friends of mine, which often featured a bounce house. If you're curious about what it's like to have *fun* in a bounce house, I hope this captures that. In this episode of LOVERS, Shan sits down with singer and songwriter Sabrina Claudio for a conversation about heartbreak, loneliness, friendship, and the lessons that shaped her new album. Sabrina talks openly about how loneliness can quietly influence decisions, including staying in relationships that feel draining. She shares what it was like to feel isolated even while partnered, why she struggled to speak up about what she was going through, and how she eventually chose to walk away. We also explore the idea of emotional detox, the feeling of carrying someone long after the relationship ends, and the moment she realized she needed to release what was weighing her down. If you have ever tried to heal while still holding on, or wondered why connection sometimes feels complicated, this conversation offers insight and companionship. Referenced in this episode: Bronfenbrenner's Ecological Systems Theory — the idea that our development is shaped by multiple layers of environment (from family + friends all the way to culture + society). Today we sit down with legendary cartoonist Gilbert Hernandez, who was inducted into the Will Eisner Hall of Fame in 2017, to discuss his newest Love and Rockets book, Lovers and Haters. First, we explore the early years of L&R, and how Gilbert and his brothers, Jaime and Mario, created a world unlike any other in comics. We talk about Gilbert's Palomar saga as well as his standalone graphic novels that adapt fictional B-movies in this world. Gilbert then shares why and how he put together Lovers and Haters, a "sleazy" collection of Palomar stories, focusing on 50-year-old cult movie actress Fritz as she battles alcoholism, a controlling lover, a jealous rival, Fritz imitators, a sex cult, and mad scientists. In our latest tribute, Janet, John, (and Pen) celebrate the life and career of the actress, director, producer, and fashion icon whose began to rise to stardom during the New Hollywood movement... Diane Keaton! With a 60-year long career in Hollywood, this actress was always destined to one day be under the limelight, but after seeing her mother win Mrs. Los Angeles her resolve to become a part of the dramatics of performing at a young age only strengthened. She participated in singing and acting club during high school and continued to perform anywhere she could until she was cast as an understudy in the production of Hair (1968). From there she began to rise in the broadway eye, soon being nominated for a Tony as the Best Featured Actress in a Play for her role in Play it Again, Sam (1969). She truly couldn't be stopped as she moved from the stage to the screen with her debut film, Lovers and Other Strangers (1970). Soon after she was being cast in Francis Ford Coppola's The Godfather (1972) as Kay Adams-Corleone and Woody Allen's Annie Hall (1977), which combined together launched her into stardom and earned her the Oscar for Best Actress in a Leading Role. Some of her other fantastic films are Looking for Mr.Goodbar (1977), Reds (1981), Manhattan (1979) , The First Wives Club (1996), Finding Dory (2016), Book Club (2018), and many more. Friends, Lovers, Listeners. Happy Wednesday, Happy Hump Day and Happy Sex on the Peach Day. If you're tuning in to this episode, congratulations: you survived and thrived through Part One where we hopefully normalised and celebrated the incredible variety of what turns people on, and hopefully reminded you that curiousity, imagination, and pleasure come in countless forms, and now we're diving headfirst into N through Z. We'll explore everything from nylons to vampirism to electrostimulation. We'll cover praise kinks, because nothing says sexy like being told you're good…or very, very good. Some of it will surprise you, some of it might make you laugh, and that's ok, but we don't kink shame here - all of it exists in the wide, rich spectrum of human sexuality, where none of it is “wrong” or “abnormal.” As always, before we dive in: whilst this is a judgement-free space, it is a consent-first, judgement-free space. Consent, communication, respect and safety are non-negotiable. Anything non-consensual, exploitative, or illegal? Not included. Not acceptable. Not condoned. Not a thing. End of story. And just like Part One, because I did have people tell me I left x, y, z kink out…this episode is by no means an exhaustive list — there are countless other ways people experience desire, but I'm highlighting some of the more common, and some of the more unusual ones to celebrate the diversity of sexual expression. Going through every single one would take me about 200 hours worth of talking, which I'm sure probably counts as its own very niche endurance kink.Anyway, let's finish what we started shall we, and let's get into it - here is The A-Z Of Things You Can't Google At Work…Part 2.Sex On The Peach is a completely inclusive, open, judgement free zone. However you identify - both in your gender and sexuality, whatever race, age, size, ability, religion you are - everyone is welcome here, and I hope that at some point in an episode we will touch on something you can relate to and resonate with. Please like, follow, share, review and subscribe to stay in the loop of all future episodes, and you can also follow me on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube @sexonthepeachcast. Today I have the pleasure of talking with Dean Spade about his new book, Love in a Fucked-up World: how to build relationships, hook up, and raise hell together. This book builds on all of Dean's previous books, and shares their commitment to finding ways to build better movements for better worlds. Like all of his work, Love in a Fucked Up World homes in on the obstacles we face not only from repressive states and destructive ideologies, but also from our own very human weaknesses and blindspots. This new book focuses on what Spade calls the “romance myth,” which shares so many features with, among other things, capitalism—ideas like a property, scarcity, ownership, status, power. While showing how when romance is brought into activist spaces it can cause great harm, Dean Spade also shows that, if converted into a form which includes patience, kindness, and generosity, romance can complement and strengthen our activism at a time when it is needed the most.Dean Spade has been working in movements for queer and trans liberation, anti-militarism, and police and prison abolition for the past 25 years. He's the author of Normal Life: Administrative Violence, Critical Trans Politics, and the Limits of Law, and Mutual Aid: Building Solidarity During This Crisis (and the Next) the director of the documentary “Pinkwashing Exposed: Seattle Fights Back!.” His new book is Love in a Fucked Up World: How to Build Relationships, Hook Up and Raise Hell Together, and he is the host of a new podcast with the same name.

From ancient Mesopotamia to Twilight, the werewolf has evolved from cursed lovers and cannibals to tragic heroes and pop icons. In this Halloween deep dive, Zach and Dr. Julie Labau trace 4,000 years of transformation, from gods punishing desire to colonizers weaponizing myths. Welcome back to Lez Hang Out, the podcast that is investing in a VHS player for no particular reason. This week, co-hosts Leigh (@lshfoster) and Ellie (@elliebrigida) hang out with Daviel Shy (@solsticetits), a multi-disciplinary artist who wrote and directed over a dozen short films, runs and curates L.M.N.O.P (Lesbian Movie Night Ongoing Project), and co-founded DAYLiGHT FiLMs, a kinky, queer, analogue pivot into the adult entertainment industry. We talk in-depth about Daviel's new series The Lovers, a 7-episode series available on Prime Video, that she brought to life during the pandemic lockdowns. The Lovers follows the story of a laid off sex-worker who falls for a fitness witch in 2020's L.A. When asked her elevator pitch for the series, Daviel explained that it's basically a kinkier, gayer Skins and after watching it, we fully agree with that description. Prior to creating The Lovers, Daviel had a lot of experience with writing, directing and producing, but with the barriers of the lockdowns, she decided to also star in the series, a first that helped her realize she actually wanted to do what her character was doing. Through the assistance of the kink community in L.A., Daviel was able not only to create her series, but to connect with the network she would need to break into the adult entertainment industry and co-found DAYLiGHT FiLMs. You can stream The Lovers on Amazon Prime Video or Vimeo On Demand.
