Kala'i Pomroy and James Shaw are musical artists from the Big Island of Hawai'i. These Hilo boys are now based on Oʻahu, and represent a new generation of local music — one that blends island reggae, R&B, hip-hop, and pop into something that feels both rooted and global at the same time. Their breakout track Keep Me In Mind helped put them on the map, and since then they've continued to build momentum with songs like Thyme, POUNDTOWN, Peaches, Sunshine, and Long Day.They've performed on platforms like HI Sessions, HI Now, and Sugarshack Sessions, and recently released their debut project Sink or Swim, collaborating with artists like HIRIE and Likkle Jordee, the Steppas, and 8R08 along the way.In this episode we talk story about growing up in Hilo, how they became friends, the start of their music career, their hustle to make money, taking a break to refocus, their reemergence to the music scene, their first album, and so much more. He is current running for City Council 7 district (Republican Party). Various subject were discussed , starting from when and how James became a Republican and what was his reasoning behind it, also how he picked up the Jewish religion being as though he's not Jewish by culture. Discussed how hard it is for republicans to get the black vote and why most blacks automatically vote democrat. He answered some very tough questions also about economics and why republicans should be heard in the urban area where most feel like they our seeking to cease government assistance. We're back! Special shot out to the lady of the show and @jthabou's rock @mrs_brady20 for everything! The Steppas got the show started by talking about what everyone has been listening to and also what everyone's favorite episode is/was. We then welcomed the good questions for both the ladies and gentlemen. Things got intense ,loud and everyone gave their honest down to earth thoughts. WE WANT TO GIVE A BIG SHOT OUT T EVERYONE WHO HAS TUNED IN BY LISTENING WATCHING, POSTING , LIKING , RESHARING OR JUST SUPPORTING THE SHOW IN ANYWAY! WE APPRECIATE YOU ALL! The Steppas are back with a surprise episode solely catered to the sports world ! @Flywita_Dove & @Jthaboul invite special guest and fellow avid sports fan @Tristan.5 to come and discuss current NBA events, Sixers/Eagles talk and more. The guys kick it off with some talk about the NBA playoff play in games and they all share their respective picks from both east and west. Talk a little about Lebron Vs Steph in the upcoming game Wednesday and if its a must win for the Lakers. Also share their thoughts on how injuries should or shouldn't effect award races in the NBA. Next up they discuss who they have coming out the eastern and western conferences and who they ultimately have winning it all this summer. The guys then get into some Eagles talk and discuss whether the rookie Wide out Davante Smith will be a stud from the start or will have some injury issues due to his very slender build.  Add in a little Jalen Hurts talk and if the 2018 Super Bowl win helped or hurt the franchise in the long run. All 3 also give their picks on Eagles regular season record and if the Tampa Bay Bucs will repeat. Boxing then becomes the topic of discussion, the guys discuss their favorite boxers as well as how the politics of boxing have hurt the sport. @Jthaboul is still excited about the Floyd Mayweather vs Logan Paul fight but @Tristan.5 doesn't seem too fond of it. The guys end the discussion with a little Jordan vs Lebron talk which leads to some good points and some good laughs while the guys end off the episode with a toast !
