    British Judoka Josie Horton, who competed at the Barcelona Olympics, lost her leg after being run over by a bus in Islington in 2016.     David Butler was injured in an unexploded bomb blast, aged 11. His lifelong passion is motorsport and he is the only disabled driver to have an International Race and Rally Licence. He was the youngest person ever to have been the subject of This is Your Life in 1962, was awarded an MBE in 2010 and in 2012 carried the Olympic Torch.If you would like to donate to the Silverlining Charity it will be very much appreciated.     Vanessa is an amazing lady who has suffered her whole life with bendy joints due to Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. She started competing in the shotput only in 2015 and has experienced a meteoric rise to the top of her sport winning Gold at the European Championships in Berlin in 2018.     Alex was a Rugby Union International prop who had to retire at only aged 30 after suffering sustained injuries and has had to figure out his new life. Thankfully he has been able to work in the sport he has always been passionate about.     Paul Maddog McGuinness is a guitarist who played in the Pogues and the Popes, who got knocked over by a car in Stoke Newington in 2013, resulting in a brain injury. He still struggles with walking, although The Popes has a new album coming out this year.
