In deze Business Club Talk spreekt Mark Timo met interieurontwerper Storm de Jong en met Jelena Obradov van Obradov Studio over ontwerpen buiten het interieur. Storm ontwerpt woningen, appartementen en restaurants en lanceerde net een eigen greep- en knoppenlijn. Jelena richt zich op residentiële projecten en hospitality, en ontwierp het podium van de Independent Hotel Show Amsterdam.Storm vertelt hoe hij zijn ontwerpen eerst uitwerkte en daarna pas een producent zocht die bij hem paste. Het contact ontstond op een event, waar hij hardop uitsprak wat hij zocht. Wat volgde was anderhalf jaar ontwikkelen in kleine stappen: maatvoering, twee soorten boringen per greep zodat een keuken los te upgraden is, 3D-prints, en steeds weer tweaken tot het scherpe randje eraf was. Over de zakelijke kant is hij helder: hij werkt op commissie, het logo van de producent staat op het product omdat daar de inkoop loopt, en de vormentaal blijft van hem.Jelena beschrijft hoe je een podium ontwerpt dat je alleen van de voorkant ervaart. Ze werkte met organisch gevormde panelen om diepte te maken, schakelde zes partners in voor maatwerk en richtte daarnaast haar eigen standruimte in. Het ontwerp was zo goed ontvangen dat het najaar opnieuw wordt opgebouwd in Londen. Etienne Vaessen was hét gespreksonderwerp in de nieuwste aflevering van Radio Milko. De doelman hield FC Groningen zaterdagavond met meerdere reddingen op de been tegen Go Ahead Eagles, maar zorgde met zijn risicovolle spel ook voor discussie. Voor analist Michael de Leeuw is er weinig twijfel over de waarde van de keeper. „Voor Vaessen kom ik naar het stadion”, zegt de oud-spits van FC Groningen. Niet iedereen deelt dat enthousiasme. In de podcast wordt een luisteraarsreactie aangehaald waarin Vaessen wordt omschreven als een 'clown of circusartiest'. De Leeuw kan zich daar niet in vinden. „Ik ben het 90 procent niet eens met deze kritiek”, reageert hij. „Een keeper moet een beetje gek zijn.” ­ De discussie ontstond na een moeilijke middag voor FC Groningen. Volgens De Leeuw lag het probleem vooral voorin. „In de laatste dertig meter was FC Groningen niet scherp of werden verkeerde keuzes gemaakt.” Daardoor wist de ploeg nauwelijks kansen te creëren, terwijl Go Ahead Eagles constant gevaarlijk was. ­ Toch ziet De Leeuw geen reden tot paniek. Hij prijst niet alleen Vaessen, maar ook het werk dat FC Groningen deze zomer heeft verricht op de transfermarkt. „Ze hebben toch wel een goede selectie weten te behouden”, stelt hij. Dat neemt niet weg dat er zorgen zijn voor de toekomst. They explore how governments across the continent are responding to a wave of refinery closures that predates the conflict, whether the crisis has genuinely changed the political calculus in the region, and what it would actually take to unlock the scale of capital spending the sector needs to survive and decarbonize. De terugkeer van de Adams Family op RTL 5 en Videoland is hét gesprek in de nieuwe AD Media Podcast. Renze Klamer maakte zijn rentree aan een tafel op RTL 4. „Maar hij maakte bij zijn eerste aflevering meteen een kapitale fout”, oordeelt het panel van de AD Media Podcast. Het veelbesproken Wolven is eindelijk begonnen op NPO 1. Het BNNVara-programma dat erg lijkt op de RTL-show De Verraders is een co-productie met het commerciële Disney+ en ligt daarom onder een vergrootglas. Maar de vraag blijft: moest de NPO voor deze kopie van De Verraders in tijden van bezuinigingen geld uitgeven? RTL begon juist met Taskmaster van Arjen Lubach en Diederik Smit. Het is een format dat oorspronkelijk werd uitgezonden op de BBC. Angela de Jong vindt dat Lubach en RTL hiermee de kijker minacht. „Dit past zo niet bij hun publiek, dit is een NPO 3-programma.” De vlag gaat uit in de podcast, want Pierre van Hooijdonk vertrekt bij de NOS. In Zandvoort bereiden ondernemers zich voor op de laatste Dutch Grand Prix, die het kustdorp zes jaar lang in een driedaags racefeest veranderde. Terwijl cafés, winkels en karaokebars nog één keer maximaal inzetten op het evenement en vooruitkijken naar de komst van de elektrische Formule E, vrezen veel betrokkenen na dit weekend een zwart gat voor de lokale economie en het evenementenklimaat.
