How do you stay active when pain keeps getting in the way? If your fitness goals get off track because of pain, you're not alone — and even better, you're not out of options. Pushing through pain, ignoring warning signs, or waiting to "get better first" often leads to setbacks, frustration, and giving up altogether. Most of us aren't lacking motivation; we're missing a clear plan for what to do before surgery becomes the only option. In this episode, VSI physiatrist and Director of Regenerative Medicine Dr. Niteesh Bharara and VSI physical therapist Greg Morris deliver a practical, hopeful reality check. Together, they walk through the non-operative path that's often missing from traditional care — what exists between "just wait" and surgery — showing how physical therapy and natural healing work together to address the root cause of pain, support real tissue healing, and help people return to training without the extensive recovery that often comes with surgery. This episode is for you if: You have fitness goals, but pain keeps interrupting your progress You've been told to "just wait" or "push through it" You want real, non-surgical options to move forward If pain has left you feeling stuck or unsure of what to do next, this episode shows there is another path forward: one that helps you keep moving, training, and doing the activities you love.

Today on Overflow with Kimberly Snider, we're diving into one of my favorite topics—self-care—not as a nice-to-have, but as leadership… beginning with bubble baths, bath salts, and the radical idea of actually filling your own cup.I am so excited to welcome Melissa Dawn, founder of “CEO of Your Life.”Melissa is a Master Certified Coach, executive speaker, and leadership mentor who has helped thousands of leaders navigate high-stakes transformation—without losing themselves in the process. She blends executive coaching and leadership strategy with energy mastery and emotional intelligence, reminding us that leadership is really an inside-out practice. On her website she says something I absolutely love: she recommends salt baths to her executive coaching clientsbecause when leaders truly care for themselves, they become better leaders—and they're empowered to better support the people around them.Because here's the truth: executives and high-level leaders worry about their families, struggle with sleep, stress, self-care, pain, insecurities, and self-doubt… just like everyone else. Many of us keep making the bare minimum deposits into our own energy, then immediately drain it again—repeat, repeat, repeat. Melissa invites us to step out of that cycle.Let's talk:Self-care is essential for effective leadership.Leaders often neglect their own well-being.Energy management is crucial for sustaining leadership roles.Morning routines can significantly impact daily energy levels.Mindfulness practices can help manage stress and emotions.Creating positive habits requires consistency and intention.Empathy towards oneself fosters better self-care practices.Small rituals can lead to significant emotional release.Choosing wellness is a proactive approach to health.Modeling self-care sets a positive example for others.Melissa DawnWebsite: https://ceoofyour.life/LinkedIN: https://www.linkedin.com/in/melissadawnp/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/ceo_of_your_life/and Melissa's blog on a morning routine: https://ceoofyour.life/2025/03/harnessing-momentum-tunnels-for-a-powerful-morning-routine/ Grab this 5 page sneak-peek of the 90-Days in OVERFLOW Journal This isn't another journal. It is a reset. Hello to you listening in Corning, New York!Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds for Wednesdays on Whidbey and your host, Diane Wyzga. One of the first signs of recognition a new mother looks for in her infant is - a smile. Look! She's smiling at me! Yes! Baby sees you. Baby recognizes you. From earliest days we are cued to the smiles of other human beings. Remember what we missed in the COVID time with masks masking our smiles? Sure, we crinkled our eyes to signal a smile but it wasn't the same as receiving a smile from another human. Sometimes the tone of our voice was a good substitute. The “music of the spoken word” stood in for our smile. We did the best we could with what we had. Like a smile, the "music of the spoken word" brings written text to life with inflection, pause, tone, emphasis, and cadence. Reading text alone is quick, cheap, and easy but the human voice lends expression and emotional meaning.I create each 60 Seconds episode with you in mind to offer a measure of hope, delight and imagination, as well as thoughts to ponder, stories to share, a practical tip to lighten and brighten your day. Thank you for taking the time to listen to my podcast episodes. My voice is me smiling at you. You're always welcome: "Come for the stories - Stay for the magic!" Dear Community, This episode is a little different—in the best way.Host, Yasmeen Turayhi, hands the mic to her friend Bella Shing for an intimate, real conversation about Yasmeen's new book, A Glitch in the Matrix: 10 Energy Codes to Become the Main Character of Your Life —a practical guide to waking up from unconscious patterning and stepping into conscious authorship. Grounded in 15+ years on the personal development path and 250+ interviews on Gateways to Awakening, Yasmeen distills what she's learned into 10 core Energy Codes designed to help you shift your identity, reclaim your energy, and create from coherence rather than conditioning.Together, Yasmeen and Bella explore what a “glitch” actually is: the moment you see the program running your life—and realize you don't have to keep living it. They talk about the “Matrix” as a cultural agreement built on conditional worth and performance, how people unknowingly give their power away every day, and why identity is the real engine behind long-term change. The conversation also moves into energy mastery—presence, embodiment, intuition, nervous system capacity—and why levity, play, and humor are not distractions from the sacred, but often the doorway into it.If you've ever felt like you're living on autopilot, this episode is a transmission back to your agency. In this episode, you'll learn:1. What a “glitch in the matrix” really is—and how to recognize it in your own life2. How the “Matrix” functions as a dominant cultural program built on conditional worth3. The most common ways we give our power away (and how to call it back)4. Why identity is the reason most people don't change—and how to use identity intentionally5. How intuition differs from fear (and what “nonlinear knowing” feels like)6. Why embodiment and nervous system capacity are essential for real transformation7. How karma, resonance, and energetic “accounting” shape what comes back to you8. The role of humor and play in spiritual maturity—sacred doesn't have to mean seriousAbout the book: A Glitch in the Matrix is Yasmeen's love letter to the world—an accessible, grounded framework for energy mastery, presence, and conscious creation, written for anyone ready to stop sleepwalking through life and start living from inner authority.About the guest host: Bella Shing is an artist and creator living in Lisbon. In this episode, she also shares what she's building next, including her new app Daily Miracles, designed to help people track serendipity and train attention toward what's working. If this episode resonates, share it with someone you love—and let it be your reminder: your life is not a dress rehearsal.Tune in to Gateways to Awakening for more conversations with leading thinkers, creators, and spiritual pioneers shaping the future of consciousness. What if creating championship-level performance has far less to do with the team you inherit and everything to do with your own mindset and how you lead, design systems, and set standards from day one? That question came up again and again in my conversation with Donzel Leggett, a leadership strategist, executive coach, and the award-winning author of Make Your Destiny Happen. We dive into what leaders can learn from one of the most talked-about leadership turnarounds in sports this season: Curt Cignetti and the remarkable transformation of Indiana Hoosiers football. We unpack why turnaround success isn't about inheriting the “right” team, it's about setting expectations, creating belief, and installing systems that allow people to perform at their best. With more than three decades of leadership experience at Fortune 200 companies, Donzel helps leaders and organizations build clarity, capacity, and intentional leadership. In this expansive and thought-provoking episode of Spirit Talk, Brandee sits down with Julie Ryan, psychic medium, medical intuitive, inventor, author, and entrepreneur, for a grounded yet deeply spiritual conversation about death, healing, and the evolving future of healthcare. Julie shares insights from her book Angelic Attendants, including the 12 Phases of Transition®, a compassionate framework that helps individuals and families understand what occurs emotionally, energetically, and spiritually as a loved one approaches death. Together, Brandee and Julie explore how these phases can bring peace, reassurance, and a sense of sacredness to the dying process. The conversation moves into soul-level questions around destiny and choice, examining whether our soul contracts predetermine the way we die or if we retain free will even in our final moments. Julie offers a nuanced perspective that honors both divine planning and conscious choice. Julie also shares her vision for the future of healthcare, explaining why she believes energetic diagnostics and medical intuition will play an increasingly important role alongside mainstream medicine. She discusses how intuitive scanning can complement traditional diagnostics, offering earlier insight into imbalances before they manifest physically and why collaboration, not replacement, is the key. Another powerful part of the episode explores past-life scanning. Julie explains how information from other lifetimes presents itself during intuitive sessions and how unresolved experiences, vows, or trauma can influence present-day challenges, patterns, and even physical illness. This discussion offers a compassionate lens for understanding recurring issues that don't always have a clear explanation. In this episode, you'll hear about: The 12 Phases of Transition® and how they support families during the dying process Soul contracts, destiny, and choice at the moment of death The future of healthcare and the role of energetic diagnostics How medical intuition can work alongside conventional medicine What past-life information reveals and how it impacts current health and life patterns Normalizing spiritual conversations around death, healing, and transformation This episode is for anyone curious about the unseen layers of healing, navigating end-of-life transitions, or feeling called to a more soul-centered understanding of health and humanity. ✨ About Julie Ryan Julie Ryan is a psychic medium, medical intuitive, energy healer, inventor, author, and host of the globally recognized Ask Julie Ryan podcast, heard in over 100 countries. To explore how fear holds people back professionally She outlines how fear affects decision‑making, action-taking, and confidence. KEY TAKEAWAYS 1. Why She Does This Work She witnessed firsthand how mergers, layoffs, and poor communication harm employees. After being laid off with 200+ others, she realized she needed to become the “voice of reason” who turns employee concerns into actionable insights for leaders. 2. Layoff vs. Termination — Emotional Differences Layoffs: painful but less shame; not personal fault. Termination: usually involves personal accountability, and often carries more shame. Both create a feeling of powerlessness, but each requires emotional processing and reframing. 3. No One Is Coming To Save You Employees must take responsibility for: Their growth Their mental health Their career progression Their emotional well‑being HR cannot save you, Heather says—they play a dual role and cannot be personal rescuers. 4. Managing Workplace Anxiety Key strategies include: Nightly reflection → Write down what went well and what you controlled. Reframing → Turning irrational fears into rational thoughts. Breathing, sunlight, walking, self‑care → Especially for anxiety. Intentional mindset‑switching → Choosing thoughts that serve you. 5. The Five Ways Fear Holds You Back Professionally Heather identifies several fear patterns: 1. Fear of Feedback Avoiding action because you’re afraid of what others may say. 2. Fear of Retribution / Getting in Trouble Hesitating to take risks or initiative. 3. Fear of Speaking Up Not challenging authority or expressing dissenting opinions due to lack of psychological safety. 4. Fear Rooted in Family / Cultural Conditioning Inherited fear patterns from parents, grandparents, or trauma. 5. Fear of Regret / Non‑Action She teaches a powerful question: “What will I regret the longest—doing the thing or not doing the thing?” This question accelerates decision‑making and breaks the paralysis of fear. 6. Take Ownership of Your Life — Self‑Leadership Become the Chief Iterator of Your Life → Continue refining yourself like a living prototype. Accept mistakes as part of growth. Avoid perfectionism; aim for continuous improvement. 7. Practical Daily Habits Prepare mentally each night. Hydrate, sleep well, move your body. Train yourself to take small positive actions daily. NOTABLE QUOTES FROM THE INTERVIEW On Self‑Leadership “Ain’t nobody coming to save me. And in the workplace, no one’s coming to save you.” On Fear “Feedback is a gift—even if it hurts.” “We sit around waiting for green lights, access, invitations… It’s not coming. We need to seize it.” “What is the thing you will regret the longest—doing it or not doing it?” On Navigating Change “You get to fight tooth and nail for your own mental space.” On Personal Growth “See yourself as a work in progress—a constant iteration.” On Workplace Emotions “With layoffs, you didn’t have a hand in it. In Taking Control of Your Life, Pastor Jerry Dirmann teaches how believers can move from instability to stability by making intentional, God-centered choices. This message reveals why trying to live two lives creates conflict, how pruning brings greater fruitfulness, and how regret and resentment can keep us stuck in the past. You'll be encouraged to seek first God's Kingdom, receive His grace, and walk in the freedom He has prepared for you.MORE...« Jesus Disciple » God is calling believers EVERYWHERE to be a part of fulfilling the Great Commission, making disciples around the world. Does Being a Jesus Follower Embarrass You? Are the Holy Spirit and the Gospel on Your Life's “Back Burner” to Be Warmed Up Only in a Life Crisis? MESSAGE SUMMARY: Living in the Holy Spirit sets us apart from our fellow human beings who are living without the Christ. Most of us had great passion in our lives as we approached the age to get our driver's license or the age of eighteen when we would be an “adult”. Why don't we have the same kind of passion about our spiritual life? Why don't we want to grow up and mature in the Lord? As Paul tells us, in Titus2:11-13, we must focus on living a Godly life while, also, living our life in the Holy Spirit: “For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.”. We have the capacity to live like no one else because we have presence of God in our lives through the person of the Holy Spirit and the gift of a personal relationship with God, the Creator of the Universe. TODAY'S PRAYER: Abba Father, I admit that I am often afraid and embarrassed to openly tell you all that is going on inside me — even though I know you know it all anyway. Teach me what boldness in prayer looks like as I draw near your throne of grace. In Jesus' name, amen. Scazzero, Peter. Emotionally Healthy Spirituality Day by Day (p. 112). Zondervan. Kindle Edition. TODAY'S AFFIRMATION: Today, Because of who I am in Jesus Christ, I will not be driven by Lust. Rather, I will abide in the Lord's Perfect Provision. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5). SCRIPTURE REFERENCE (ESV): Titus2:11-15; 2 Timothy 3:2-7; Mark 11:15-19; Psalms 35a:1-14. If the idea of setting big goals this year feels overwhelming, exhausting, or completely out of reach, this episode is for you. For some people, January brings motivation and momentum. For others, it brings heaviness, survival mode, or a quiet realization that they've been running on empty for a long time. In this episode, we're talking about why big goals can feel overwhelming — and what to do instead. Not because you're lazy. Not because you lack discipline. But because your nervous system may be asking for safety before growth. We'll explore why depression and survival mode aren't signs that something is wrong with you, but rather signals — like a check engine light — letting you know that something deeper needs care and attention. I'll walk you through a gentler, trauma-informed process for beginning the year when motivation is low, including: Why survival mode is a valid starting line How to stop forcing yourself to “start the year strong” The power of allowing your emotions without fear they'll consume you Creating a very small baseline instead of big goals Letting joy, relief, and what feels fun lead — without “shoulds” And how this season may be pointing you toward deeper healing of unresolved grief, anger, or old emotional wounds. This is a guided experience for people who are tender and need space. It's a longer, workshop-style episode designed to be listened to slowly, in one sitting or in parts. And it's a conversation about permission.Permission to pause.Permission to feel.Permission to meet yourself where you actually are. No hustle, no bypassing, no pressure to be “better.” Just an honest, compassionate way forward — especially if this season feels heavier than you expected. If you'd like some extra support in this, join me in The Clarity Room: A free live group coaching experience that takes you from Confusion to Clarity. Sunday January 18th, 5pm pst / 8pm est It's a gentle, supportive space designed for moments exactly like this — when big goals feel like too much, when you're in survival mode, or when you know something deeper is asking for your attention, but you don't want to force or rush the process. Have you experienced discrepancies between your spiritual life and what you read in Acts? While the early church was unique in many ways, believers still have the same Spirit that we read about in Scripture. In this episode, Emma Dotter and Kylen Perry, Watermark's Executive Director of The Porch, explain who that Spirit is and how he works in our lives and churches today. Then Emma Dotter and Pastor and Author, Kirk Freeman, spend time unpacking the implications of Acts 2, a passage that originally gave unity and clarity to the early church rather than the division it causes now. Listen to learn how to fight for unity despite having different convictions from other believers around you.// ADDITIONAL VERSES MENTIONED: Acts 5: 3-4; Matthew 28: 19-20; John 15: 26; Ephesians 4: 30; Genesis 41; 1: 1-2; 2: 7; Acts 9: 31; Galatians 5: 16-18; John 16: 8; Titus 3: 5 // RESOURCES FOR FURTHER STUDY: Watermark's doctrinal statement on the Holy Spirit: (https://www.watermark.org/about/full-doctrinal-statement) Wrestling with your convictions on the Holy Spirit? Join The Journey is a realistic daily Bible reading plan that helps followers of Jesus at Watermark Community Church and beyond enjoy abiding in Jesus together. Join The Journey Jr. is designed to help parents guide their kids in Bible reading through interactive and age-specific lessons. In 2026, we're studying the book of Acts—one passage per week. For another year, teaching on Sunday will align with each week's passage. Then, for the next six days, we'll return to the same passage with fresh focus, exploring insights about who God is and how we can enjoy him more deeply. Monday through Saturday, we'll approach the same passage from a different perspective each day—whether observation, interpretation, prayer, or another spiritual practice—to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation for God's Word. Then, watch or listen to the video podcast to tackle the week's toughest verses and discover key historical, theological, and practical insights. As we start the new year, one of the most dangerous assumptions is that things will be the same as last year. Our world is growing increasingly dangerous and uncertain. Rather than move through it casually or rely on self-effort, a sobriety is required to follow God in both the big and small things. To help, John and Allen reveal the difference in dreams and desires, what keeps us stuck, and an often-missed condition for God's blessing and protection.Show Notes: The book referenced is Walking with God by John Eldredge. The 3-part Wild at Heart podcast series with Blaine Eldredge is “What Is God Up To in Your Life?” (September 21, September 28, October 5, 2025)._______________________________________________There is more.Got a question you want answered on the podcast?
