Goodbye 2022, HELLO 2023! How YOU doing? Hi, It's me. Your long-lost friend 'T from My Ghoulish Adventures'! Remember that time I started a solo podcast in 2022? I know - insanity! Well, after a full year of amazing results AND some soul searching, I realized that it's time to spruce things up. With a title like "The Spooky Roundtable", I also would assume that this place would be only things on the scary side. But what I didn't allow, was the opportunity to showcase my vast knowledge of pop culture that helped MADE me into the ghoulish gal I am today. It's not always doom and gloom - and since I am a complete sucker for nostalgia, why wouldn't I use my platform to take trips down memory lane and revisit favorites that are outside the label of 'SpOoKy"? It's 2023 and we are universal folks....or maybe it's really more of my ADHD who just can't hyper focus on one thing? Who knows? Either way, doing rewinds to pop culture moments, sounds and visuals may be a moment for all of us to connect in ways deeper than just enjoying dark history. We just had so much to say, that we broke this entire recording straight down the middle and giving you half of the houses per episode. Trigger warning: conversations about trauma (SA, Drug etc). For the 1st official interview on this podcast, I am so stoked that my first I.N.A.S episode (stands for 'It's Not Always Spooky' format), is with a dear friend of mine; Salem_Sinner! Salem takes a seat with me at the roundtable and we had a fun time as always, except I tried to be more professional than usual. I know, who am I? Whether you know her from her *special* content creating (cough cough) OR as her more known SFW character skits she plays on TikTok (see here), this has been a long time coming. Well, after getting really sick from Covid (Round 2) and a ton of editing to make sure I take human form, I had the time to watch a movie once the fever broke. Fresh on the Peacock (the streaming app, not the actual animal), is a little Halloween Horror Night's homework! One of the confirmed houses is a dedicated Blumhouse themed featuring 2 movies, one of them being this new streaming release. From already rumored sequels to what we thought the phone represented, we get into some banter about the mystery meanings of the films and it's obvious notations. Originally, this episode was supposed to be dedicated to the new 'Halloween Ends' trailer with Jordana from the 'Pretty Killer Podcast' and we got a little surprise as well! Just when you thought I was done talking about HHN, right? Within a matter of days and thinking we had some time before news appeared, POOF! A possible shirt leak showing all the rumored houses appeared. So of course we had to, at that point in live time discuss our personal current mix of emotions of what we were thinking within that literally witching hour of it happening.  (37:25s in) Once we come to terms processing all this newfound information, we spent most of the episode talking in great detail about all the possible hints of a plot, how it ends and if this will truly be the end of the current Halloween franchise. We might have spent a few too many minutes pausing and trying to find easter eggs, but as fans - we just want a solid conclusion to this trilogy. Who ya gonna call? Well, not me. What a way to start a solo podcast chapter. Just me and the microphone, trying to formulate my thoughts after seeing Ghostbuster Afterlife. Yes, this is full of spoilers, full of opinion and full of me trying to understand why the critics hate it so much. Spoiler: I clearly loved this movie.
